Chapter 2 The Unstoppable Bleeding Wound

The events unfolding before him had indeed startled him; he had brought the game's interface into reality!

He wondered if he could put items into his inventory. Su Fan found something to test it with, but the result disappointed him; it couldn't be stored.

However, Su Fan didn't give up. If he couldn't put things in, could he take them out?

Su Fan's gaze fell upon several items in his inventory: chicken, healing ointment, and a stat-boosting pill.

He focused on the healing ointment. With a thought, a bottle of the ointment appeared in Su Fan's hand.

Su Fan was overjoyed.

This meant he could bring items from the game into reality!

Excitedly, Su Fan wanted to retrieve the stat-boosting pill. He wondered what it would be like to take one in reality and gain a slight attribute boost.

To his disappointment, the stat-boosting pill couldn't be retrieved. Su Fan tried the chicken again, but it also wouldn't come out. Only the healing ointment could be taken out.

Could he only retrieve one type of item at a time?

Su Fan speculated.

He looked at the attributes of the healing ointment in reality, unsure if it differed from the game.

Healing Ointment

Heals most external wounds, allowing them to instantly close and replenishing a small amount of qi and blood.

There was no specific mention of how much blood it restored, unlike the game's description. Su Fan didn't know its actual effect. He couldn't exactly cut himself to test it, could he? Su Fan wasn't that cruel.

Ding dong!

The doorbell rang from outside.

"Who is it?" Su Fan asked curiously as he went to open the door.

He didn't have many friends in this city, and hardly anyone would visit him, so Su Fan couldn't imagine who was at the door.

"President!" Standing outside was a mature and beautiful woman, dressed in a professional OL skirt that accentuated her perfect figure.

This was Su Fan's former superior, the president of his previous company, Su Yutong.

"Why did you resign?" Su Yutong asked, frowning as she saw Su Fan.

Su Fan had performed very well at the company, and Su Yutong had been keeping an eye on him. If it weren't for the short time Su Fan had been with the company, she would have promoted him long ago. But this morning, she had just learned that Su Fan had actually resigned.

"Resign? I didn't resign. To be precise, I was fired," Su Fan said nonchalantly.

"Fired? How come I didn't know? No one submitted an application to me?" As the company president, the departure of any key talent required her signature. How could she not know about Su Fan's dismissal?

"Who knows? I received a termination letter anyway," Su Fan shrugged.

Su Yutong frowned. Someone in the company had secretly fired an employee without her knowledge. This was a serious matter, and she would investigate thoroughly upon her return.

"Regardless of who fired you, I am personally inviting you back to your previous position. If you stay for a year, I will promote you to supervisor," Su Yutong extended an olive branch to Su Fan, promising him a promotion after a year.

"I'll think about it. I've been a bit tired lately and don't want to work," Su Fan politely declined. The main reason was that he hadn't figured out what was happening to him and whether he could still enter that game world.

Su Yutong was about to say more when her phone rang.

"Hello?"

"Yutong, hurry to the hospital! Your father is dying!" A voice on the phone said urgently.

"What happened to my dad?" Su Yutong asked anxiously.

"Your father sustained an external injury. He came to the hospital for stitches, but for some reason, the wound won't stop bleeding even after being stitched. All hemostatic drugs have been used with no effect. Your father has lost too much blood and is unconscious. He's currently being kept alive by blood transfusions."

"I'm on my way!" Su Yutong could no longer worry about Su Fan and rushed to the hospital.

A thought struck Su Fan. For stopping bleeding, would the healing ointment work? Wasn't this the perfect opportunity for him to test it? A ready-made chance was right before him.

"I'll go with you. I have a family heirloom hemostatic powder. I don't know if it will be useful," Su Fan offered to Su Yutong.

"Alright, get in the car quickly!" Su Yutong didn't refuse. She didn't have time to argue with Su Fan now; the faster they got to the hospital, the better.

They drove to the hospital without any further conversation, arriving at a VIP room.

Inside the room, a graceful middle-aged woman was by the bedside. She bore some resemblance to Su Yutong. On the bed lay a middle-aged man covered in blood. He had a foot-long wound on his chest that was continuously bleeding. A nurse nearby was helping to clean the blood from the man.

"Mom, what happened to Dad?" Su Yutong asked her mother, looking at her father on the bed with concern.

"Your father went on a mission and came back like this. I don't know what happened. What are we going to do!" Zhang Yuwei looked at her husband on the bed anxiously, feeling lost.

"Doctor, what is my father's current condition?" Su Yutong asked the doctor beside them.

Du Feizhong shook his head.

"The patient's condition is not optimistic. If this continues, he might not make it through the night."

Even with continuous blood transfusions, at this rate of bleeding, he would die by morning at the latest.

"Is there no other way?" Su Yutong's legs felt weak upon hearing the doctor's words, and she almost stumbled.

"Unless a miracle happens, if the bleeding can be stopped, the patient can still be saved," Du Feizhong said impatiently.

This person was clearly beyond saving. Why waste blood resources in this situation? If it weren't for the patient's wealth, he would have lost his temper long ago.

Su Fan stepped forward at this moment.

"I have a hemostatic powder at home. Can I try it?" Su Fan's desire to test the healing ointment made him step forward.

"Who are you? Do you have a medical license? And it's a family heirloom, has it been certified by the drug regulatory authorities? If you kill someone, are you responsible?" Du Feizhong couldn't help but mock Su Fan's shabby appearance.

"Anyone can use medicine now? Then what do we need hospitals for?"

Su Fan felt that what the man said was right.

If something went wrong, he would have to take responsibility.

However, Su Yutong seemed to have grasped a lifeline. The hospital had declared him beyond help, so why not let Su Fan try? A dead horse treated as a live one!

Moreover, Su Fan had repeatedly mentioned his family's ancestral hemostatic powder, appearing very confident, which gave Su Yutong hope.

"Su Fan, use your family's hemostatic powder. If anything goes wrong, I won't hold you accountable," Su Yutong said through gritted teeth.

Looking at her father bleeding profusely on the bed, with the hospital unable to help, Su Yutong could only hope that Su Fan's medicine would perform a miracle.

"Hey, this is a hospital. Not just anyone can use medicine here. If you misuse medicine, our hospital will be held responsible!" Du Feizhong objected. If something went wrong, he, as the attending physician, would bear the primary responsibility.

"If anything happens, you won't be held responsible. Move aside!" Su Yutong said coldly to Du Feizhong.

"Who knows if you'll go back on your word? I won't let you misuse medicine in the hospital!" Du Feizhong firmly refused to let Su Fan administer medication to the patient.

"Then save my father! If you can't save him, you won't let us find someone who can? What? Are you just going to let my father die here!" Su Yutong immediately exploded. This Du Feizhong was being utterly unreasonable, preventing others from saving someone he couldn't save himself. Was she supposed to just watch her father die?

"What's going on? All this noise, this is a hospital!" An old man with white hair walked in, his expression displeased.
