Chapter 52 Liu Qing

"Xiao Fan is here, come in quickly."

Clearly, Liu Jie had already informed Liu Jianjun in advance, so Liu Jianjun was not surprised by Su Fan's arrival.

"Xiao Fan has grown so big. I remember the last time I saw you, you were still a child," Liu Jianjun said with emotion.

At their age, the older they got, the faster time seemed to fly. In the blink of an eye, their children were already of marriageable age.

"Uncle, I've grown up, haven't I?"

"You came without bringing anything," Uncle Liu said with a smile, taking the bags from Su Fan.

"Qingqing! Your brother Xiao Fan is here!" Liu Jianjun called out into the house.

"Got it."

A lazy voice came from the bedroom.

Soon, a girl with messy hair and a listless demeanor walked out of the bedroom.

In her lazy expression, Su Fan could see a hint of his own.

"Brother Xiao Fan?"

The girl was two years younger than Su Fan. Looking at Su Fan, who seemed both familiar and unfamiliar, she tilted her head, appearing a bit reserved. The two, having not seen each other for many years, no longer had the same childhood closeness. It wasn't that their feelings had changed, but rather that they had both grown up.

"Qingqing," Su Fan smiled and simply called Liu Qing's name.

Liu Qing smiled brightly, then suddenly realized she was bare-faced.

"Oh no!"

Liu Qing cried out and ran back to her room.

"Qingqing is used to being lazy at home, don't mind her," Liu Jianjun said to Su Fan.

Liu Jie had wanted to set these two up. Liu Jianjun had initially intended to politely decline, hoping his daughter would find her own happiness, unlike himself... alas!

Seeing that his daughter seemed to have some interest in Su Fan, Liu Jianjun decided not to interfere in their affairs.

Soon, Liu Qing tidied herself up and came out again.

With makeup on, Liu Qing was a sight for sore eyes. The previous laziness had vanished, and her dewy complexion made one want to pinch it.

Her short hair was neat and tidy, her face oval-shaped, and the light pink-toned makeup didn't look out of place at all. She had even changed into a JK uniform.

"Brother Xiao Fan, what have you been up to lately?" Liu Qing asked, breaking the silence, as it was a bit awkward for them to be together after so many years.

"Starting a business with some friends, we've set up a company." Su Fan didn't hide anything. It wasn't to show off, but for his parents.

He had the ability and the money. It wouldn't have much impact on him if it spread in the village, but it was mainly for his parents' pride, so they could hold their heads high wherever they went.

"Brother Xiao Fan started a company? That's amazing!" Liu Qing was a little surprised. She had inquired about Su Fan two years ago when he was just an intern about to graduate from university. She hadn't expected him to become a boss himself in just two years.

"It's nothing, just a small company, nothing to brag about," Su Fan said humbly.

"Then, Brother Xiao Fan, do you know anyone in the new city? For example, do you know Yan Wenxuan?" Liu Qing suddenly asked Su Fan.

Seeing how well Su Fan was doing now, she wanted to ask him about Yan Wenxuan.

"Yan Wenxuan? I don't know him. Why?" Su Fan asked curiously.

He didn't understand why Liu Qing would suddenly mention this person.

"It's nothing, just asking," Liu Qing's expression suddenly became a little disappointed.

"What's wrong? Is he your boyfriend?" Su Fan asked jokingly.

"Of course not!" Liu Qing jumped up excitedly, like a cat whose tail had been stepped on.

"If he were my boyfriend, I'd rather die!"

Liu Qing stood there with her hands on her hips, pouting. She got angry whenever Yan Wenxuan was mentioned.

"Then who exactly is Yan Wenxuan?" Su Fan asked, his gaze sharp. Liu Qing wouldn't mention a stranger for no reason; there must be a cause.

"He's a friend of my best friend. I came back because I didn't want to see him," Liu Qing said in a low voice.

"What happened?"

Su Fan sensed something was wrong. Liu Qing's emotions seemed off.

"I... I... I feel so uncomfortable..." Liu Qing suddenly became weak, looking around strangely and scratching herself.

"Take me back to my room!" Liu Qing pleaded with Su Fan.

Liu Jianjun was not present at the moment. Su Fan frowned and, supporting Liu Qing, walked into her bedroom.

As soon as she entered the bedroom, Liu Qing excitedly rummaged through things on the bed. Finally, she found a small bag of white powder under the pillow.

Su Fan's expression froze. He immediately realized what was happening and snatched the white powder from Liu Qing's hand.

"You're taking drugs!"

Su Fan stared at Liu Qing with wide eyes.

"Give it to me!"

Liu Qing shouted at Su Fan, agitated.

Su Fan pressed Liu Qing onto the bed with one hand, holding the white powder. A ball of flame erupted, tightly enveloping the powder.

Under the scorching heat of the flames, the powder quickly turned to ash. Under Su Fan's deliberate control, not even a wisp of white smoke appeared; it was completely incinerated.

Seeing that the white powder in Su Fan's hand was gone, Liu Qing struggled excitedly. However, her efforts were completely futile against Su Fan's immense strength.

"Ah!!!"

Liu Qing screamed incessantly, feeling as if countless ants were crawling on her body. She reached out to scratch herself.

Seeing this, Su Fan tightly clasped Liu Qing's hands, rendering her completely immobile.

"Su Fan! What are you doing!"

At this moment, Liu Jianjun heard the commotion and walked in. The moment he entered, he saw Su Fan pinning his daughter to the bed, while Liu Qing was crying and wailing beneath him.

"Uncle Liu, let me explain." Su Fan tried to explain.

"I'll listen to your grandpa!" Liu Jianjun was furious and punched Su Fan in the face. He felt like he had hit a foam brick; it was incredibly hard!

Because of this punch, Su Fan released Liu Qing and moved a short distance away from Liu Jianjun.

He understood Liu Jianjun's feelings at the moment. He could let this punch go, but he didn't want to be beaten continuously. Keeping his distance from the enraged Liu Jianjun was the best option.

"Qingqing!" Liu Jianjun rushed to check on Liu Qing.

But Liu Qing was only scratching her body, her limbs contorted, as if no posture felt comfortable.

"What did you do to her? You scoundrel!" Liu Jianjun thought Su Fan was responsible and glared at him furiously.

"She was taking drugs. I just discovered it and stopped her when you came in," Su Fan finally had a chance to explain.

"What!"

Liu Jianjun felt a jolt in his heart.

He wondered why Qingqing had seemed a bit off these past few days, staying in her room all day, listless. He had thought it was because she was tired from working in the city and had come back to rest for a few days, so he hadn't paid much attention.

"I might be able to save her, but it will take time. You control her for now and stop her from scratching herself," Su Fan thought that perhaps only items from the game could save Liu Qing at this moment.

"Okay."

Liu Jianjun, appearing somewhat flustered by the news of his daughter's drug use, still chose to believe Su Fan.

Liu Jianjun went over and restrained Liu Qing, preventing her from scratching her body.

"What now?" Liu Jianjun asked Su Fan.

"Wait for me."

Su Fan finished speaking and walked out of the bedroom. He lay down on the bed, intending to sleep, but he couldn't.

"Uncle Liu, do you have any sleeping pills?"

Helpless, Su Fan could only turn to Liu Jianjun for help.
