Chapter 51 Returning Home

Long Die looked at Long Feibai lying in a pool of blood, somewhat dazed.

"Don't just stand there, help me throw him down," Su Fan called out to Long Die, dragging Long Feibai's corpse towards the edge of the cliff.

"Oh!" Long Die dazedly followed Su Fan's actions, throwing Long Feibai's corpse off the cliff.

After discarding the body, the two sat on the ground, looking up at the sky. For a moment, both were silent.

"Are you scared?" Su Fan asked Long Die as they sat side-by-side on the ground.

He now realized that this was no longer just a game. The NPCs here had become flesh and blood, more real, a special world in itself.

"A little scared."

Long Die was a girl, after all. While she might not be a stranger to killing in the martial world, the deceased was her fellow disciple. It was bound to affect her.

"It's alright. If you didn't kill him, he would have killed you. Don't have any psychological burden," Su Fan advised Long Die.

"Mm."

Long Die nodded gently and moved a little closer to Su Fan, as if seeking solace.

Su Fan gently put his arm around her shoulder.

Long Die didn't resist, leaning her head against Su Fan's shoulder.

Unknowingly, the sky darkened. Neither of them realized how much time had passed together.

"It's getting dark."

"Mm, the night sky is so beautiful."

Long Die shifted her body, looking at the Milky Way in the sky with great seriousness.

Su Fan had to admit, the night here was truly beautiful. It was hard to see such a magnificent galaxy in reality.

"We should go back," Su Fan reminded her.

When it was night in the game, it was daytime in reality. Su Fan had to go home today.

"Mm, let's go." Long Die finally got up reluctantly. The two quietly returned to Baiyue Mountain Villa, and Long Die went back to the Saintess's sleeping quarters to swap out Xiao Yan.

"Why didn't you two just spend the night outside? Do you know how I managed? I almost got exposed at mealtime, do you know that!" Xiao Yan was full of complaints and started scolding Su Fan as soon as he came out.

"Alright, alright, you've worked hard. Go back to sleep," Su Fan said, trying to appease Xiao Yan.

After a lot of effort, Su Fan managed to calm Xiao Yan down and send him back to sleep.

Lying in bed, Su Fan chose to return to reality.

He opened his eyes. It was already bright daylight outside.

Su Fan drove out to buy some things and called Su Yutong, asking her to help look after Hongfan Jewelry. It could now be listed for sale, and within a week, all items except high-end jewelry would be sold at an 80% discount. Su Fan hung up the phone amidst Su Yutong's complaints.

Su Fan's home was in the new city, but not in the city itself, but in a small county town under its jurisdiction. His family were farmers with a few acres of land. A few years ago, his parents used their remaining savings to open a clothing store. The business was barely making ends meet, but it was better than working for others. Life was alright.

Su Fan drove his car and quickly arrived at the county clothing store.

Fang Jie Clothing Store. His father, Su Fangtian, and mother, Liu Jie, were both at the store.

"Mom, I'm back."

Su Fan got out of the car and walked into the store, saying to Liu Jie, who was busy.

"Xiao Fan? Why didn't you say anything beforehand? You're back so suddenly!" Liu Jie was very surprised. She knew Su Fan might be back soon, but she didn't know which day. She had even told Su Fan to call her before he returned so his father could pick him up.

Who knew Su Fan would return without a word.

"Are you alright on the road? Are you hungry?" Liu Jie took the bag from Su Fan's hand and asked with concern.

"No. Is the store busy? I can help." Su Fan looked at the situation in the store. There weren't many people, and his father was just organizing inventory in the warehouse.

"It's not busy. It's almost the change of season, so business is slow. Fang Tian, stop organizing. Our son is back. Let's buy some groceries and go home. We're closing for today!" Liu Jie called out towards the warehouse door.

She was happy that her son was back today, so working one less day didn't matter.

"What?" Su Fangtian poked his head out from inside and was stunned to see Su Fan.

"Hey? When did Xiao Fan get back?"

"Dad, I just got here."

"Quick, stop organizing and go drive. We're going home," Liu Jie urged Su Fangtian.

"Mom, don't let Dad drive. Take mine. I drove back," Su Fan told them.

He didn't want to take people in the old small truck at home; it wasn't safe.

"Alright then, I'll have your dad lock up."

After closing the shop, the three of them walked towards Su Fan's car.

"Whose car did you borrow? Don't damage it, we can't afford to pay for it. Let's just drive our car," Liu Jie said when she saw the monstrous vehicle, assuming Su Fan had borrowed it from a colleague. Although she didn't understand cars, she could tell it was expensive and best driven less.

"It's fine, Mom. I bought it. Don't worry," Su Fan opened the car door and let his parents get in.

"You bought it? Where did you get so much money?" Liu Jie asked curiously.

Last time Su Fan mentioned buying a house, she found it strange. Su Fan had only been working outside for a few years, and he wanted to buy a house. Where did he get so much money?

"My friends and I opened a company in the new city, dealing in jewelry. We've made quite a bit recently. Buying a car and a house is just a small part. Honestly, you should close your clothing store and come to the new city to enjoy yourselves," Su Fan had to tell the truth, but he attributed the source of the money to the company's earnings.

"Even if you make money, don't spend it lavishly. It's such a waste," Liu Jie advised Su Fan.

She didn't care how much money Su Fan made outside; she just wanted her son to be well.

"Let's not talk about it anymore. Let's go home first."

Su Fan took his parents back to the village.

The old men and women in the village pointed at Su Fan's car, and Su Fan had certainly given his parents a lot of face.

This made them so happy their mouths couldn't close.

"Xiao Fan, I heard the child from the Lao Er Wu family next door say this car of yours is worth several million. Is that true?"

Su Fangtian asked his son with some concern.

He was afraid his son would turn bad if he got rich. Their Su family had never had any wicked people, and they didn't want their son to do anything illegal.

"Don't listen to his nonsense. It's not that expensive."

Su Fan was telling the truth. He still hadn't paid Lin Yao the money for the car, and Lin Yao didn't dare to ask for it.

"Xiao Fan, Liu's daughter is at home. Take these things and go see your Uncle Liu,"

Liu Jie took out the wine Su Fan had bought for his father and gave Su Fan a meaningful look.

Su Fangtian stood behind Liu Jie with a bitter expression, looking very unwilling, but he didn't dare to say anything.

"Mom, is that necessary?" Su Fan said somewhat reluctantly.

If it were just to visit Uncle Liu, it would be fine, but his mother's intention was clearly for him to see her daughter, and Su Fan felt a bit resistant.

"What do you mean not necessary? Hurry up and go!" Liu Jie suddenly said angrily.

Su Fan shrunk his head and obediently went to the Lao Liu family in the neighboring village.

"Uncle Liu, I've come to see you."

Su Fan arrived at Liu Jianjun's house in Liujia Village.

Liu Jianjun and Su Fan's parents had known each other since they were young. Su Fan and his daughter Liu Qing had known each other since childhood, but he hadn't seen Liu Qing for several years and had almost forgotten what she looked like.
