Chapter 74 74: Surrounded In The Cantina - From Dhägna'Hür To Rüh'Angähd And What Lies In-between Part 7.

Knowing that the enemies lack the nigh impenetrable defense provided by the energetic golden protection of the Emeneld, causes a massive alteration in the course of the newborn skirmish, overshadowing the initial danger, and giving to the students a nice foothold to topple down the numerical disadvantage.

Although after the catastrophe all the inhabitants of the Dhägna'Hür have been deliberately weakened. They are not completely defenseless. When the Emeneld is obtained naturally at 125 Emens of Storage Capacity. It's possible to learn how to use it beforehand, just as with other factors or abilities.

«Warp» is a clear example. Naturally obtainable at 2,500 Storage Capacity, but achievable through constant training, control and manipulation of Empiric Energy.

One of the attackers is a slender man who steps forward, disappearing from N'Ïrk's sight, and reappears behind him, almost reaching Oddette.

{What was that weird displacement?!. It was not a «Warp»!. But something completely different, like walking through space!}

The blonde lady doesn't panic, she may not be a combatant, but she is not naive nor utterly defenseless, erecting a small triangular barrier on her back, avoiding the damage by intercepting the edge of the man's dagger.

She violently sends the energetic blue triangle to the ceiling, taking away the weapon from the attacker's hand, and unleashing a dire truth for the residents of the planet.

The slender young man burst in a wave of green energy. Said surge of immaterial power is absorbed by the blade stuck in the ceiling, transforming into a sort of spectral scorpion.

But that beast is secondary. The real terror comes from the pitched scream of one of the customers.

"Usurper!".

The Slender Man's skin disintegrates into a putrid bloodied pulp, displaying his real ugly appearance, purple eyes in a tar black exoskeleton of chitinous consistency, highly protected by a thick green energy shield.

The Usurper's hand and his sharp pointy claws reach for Oddette's nape, stopped midway by three of The Tyrant's Grasp blades.

The ethereal weapons penetrate slightly the green energy shield, reaching the chitinous shoulder, elbow and wrist, impeding the Usurper's arm movement.

{How is this energy shield so resistent and resilient?!}

N'Ïrk's eyes glow brightly, observing the symbiotic relationship between the Spectral Scorpion and the Usurper.

They drag energy from each other, creating a redundance that empowers both to an absurd degree, halving the damage received by dividing the strikes between the two energy shields, adding their «Nullification» and doubling the «Production» rate.

The Spectral Scorpion's tail charges it's stinger with energy, amassing a large amount while the beast speaks clearly.

"«Éthék»".

The focused green laser is emitted nonstop from the pointy tip, targeting Oddette's head with pinpoint accuracy.

The young lady protects herself by erecting hastily a second barrier, using both triangles like mirrors, unfortunately, the stream of light is not deflected, simply deviated, impacting the Emeneld in the damsel's shoulder.

N'Ïrk uses the three free blades to attack the Spectral Scorpion, causing a discrepancy in the green energy shield of the Usurper, sinking the Tyrant's Grasp blades deeper into the arm, eviscerating the hand, wounding the elbow and stabbing the creature's chest through the shoulder.

For five seconds, the green enenergetic discharge is repelled by Oddette's golden Emeneld. But the unthinkable happens.

The laser continues channeling itself, breaking the five seconds rule that is widely known in Dhägna'Hür.

The laser bypasses Oddette's Emeneld, wounding the shoulder and cauterizing the tissue, almost ripping off the damsel's limb.

Oddette slips, falling and sliding from the staircase, her agonizing scream is prolonged for longer, enduring the injury and hastily trying to reach the upper floor, where Troy and Barvro are battling against three Usurpers.

With additional pressure the Tyrant's Grasp's immaterial blades pierce through the Spectral Scorpion's shield, killing the beast and weakening the Usurper's energetic defenses, allowing the Mercenary to control the blade that had cut off the Usurper's hand to put a hole in the anthropoid's forehead.

The other Usurpers surrounding the canteen, along the bunch maintaining the inner perimeter, are completely baffled.

Two of their kind have been rapidly and nigh effortlessly eliminated. One of them was an «Embryon Contractor», with a powerful Pact established with a Spectral Scorpion from the «Mythstical Realm», and the creature was able to talk to cast Ammunitions.

The roar of a fierce beast is accompanied by a loud Tarzön's war cry.

Bräzzeya and Káth'Dria breakiy through the cantina's wall. Both tackling an Usurper from the outer perimeter, slamming them into the ground and destroying their heads, with a fast slash, displaying the physical power they possess.

The sturdy and sharp claws of Bräzzeya, a proud Jaguaress, are combined with her indigo orange furred mittens giving a more animal appearance.

Differently, Káth'Dria has her reinforced shiny glove covering her hand with yellow energy, standing up, ready to provide assistance to the man she loves, and who make her a real woman.

N'Ïrk retracts the ethereal blades, bringing them close to face the Usurpers standing in the entrance. "Protect Oddette". He orders, knowing the blonde lady can give some clues about how he should question Indayra about her Yellow Glint.

The Half Tarzön obeys doubtlessly, sprinting and passing Oddette to block the Usurpers leaving the kitchen and jumping over the counter.

{There are too many of them, and i shouldn't waste the only Empiric Energy in my Storage Capacity, we need it to get back at the «Zone», or wait 35 hours more of the 385 we have to pass here… , *Sigh*. If only i had more blades…}

As if The Tyrant's Grasp had a mind of its own, or could respond to N'Ïrk's whims. Each of the six ethereal blades split into four parts, mutating their structure into thin stakes that mimic the tips of pikes.

Noticing the change. N'Ïrk sends forward the immaterial weapons, wanting to eliminate quickly the Usurpers. But all the blades stop before striking the Hostiles, teaching the young man about a limitation his gauntlets have, but he never encountered…

{The more blades i have, the less distance they can travel and separate from me…}
