The large vortex is invaded by the ignited Platoon, their resolution invigorated by the short speech of Nouy'Zula.
The group delves together, coveted by a bulbous amorphous golden Emeneld that is held strongly by the Leader's of the three Triquetras.
Crossing the turbulent passage lika a thick load of spermatozoons. They are ready to impregnate the Zone's memory with the nightmarish reminder of how fearsome are the residents of Dhägna'Hür.
At the other side of the energetic whirlwind, lies a short rocky cavern, extending for a few meters before giving way to a slope from which the Platoon can see an extensive semi-subterranean environment.
The false indigo sky has no sun, moons or stars. But there is a dim eerie haze that is cloudy and unsettling.
Fluorescent plants glow menacingly in their pistils. Shining crystals are embedded everywhere, Thick rivers separate in many branches that nurture short creeks and several ponds with pure water, along hot springs that release notorious steam.
And further ahead, gushing streams of hot boiling water are launched with great strength and speed from a geyser's field.
However, the most shocking aspect is the wildlife. Creatures impossible to conceive or foresee.
The «Herbivores». If they can be called like that, are literally carrying green leaves.
Lettuce, watercress, chard, artichokes, purslane, spinach, cilantro, celery.
Name it, and the quadruped «Herbivores» have them planted on their backs, like natural moving hydroponic crops. And the delirious wet dream of any vegetarian or vegan.
Differently, the «Carnivores» are made of strong hardened bread. But they are scarce, avoid water sources and seem to have an extremely slow movement.
Troy Crïden sniffs profusely, his gesture is observed by the group, dragging special attention when he crouches down and touches the «Stone» that serves as a viewpoint platform for the Platoon.
He sinks his fingers in the «Strong» material with relative ease. Ripping a small piece, bringing the object to his face, sniffling it again, and biting half of it with with blind confidence.
"Taste like blue cheese…". Murmurs Troy with obvious disbelief, his incomprehension making him eat the rest of the «Stone» he grabbed.
"It is Blue Cheese!". He screams, and every person in the Platoon sees with renewed eyes the Zone.
Everything inside is edible. Which is a pleasant surprise. Not only do they have a secure food source to supply and sustain themselves. It's a renewable and almost self-sufficient production chain they can take advantage of.
The only drawback, is the unpredictable amount of time they have to wait in order to go back into Dhägna'Hür.
Or that is what they thought, because the vortex remains open, and it is not showing any sign of closing, regardless of the entire Platoon having crossed already.
{This shouldn't happen. It is not the normal occurrence. Though. What is «Normal» now?. I have never heard about a Zone with an entrance so large, nor with this type of semi open layout}
"Coach. I am seeing movement". Comments Evennette, her eye sight is the second best in the Platoon, easily spotting and pointing to a purple magenta circle that is barely perceived by a few.
"Is another entrance". Acknowledges the melancholic Bverxkka, which causes a sudden turmoil of incomprehension in the members of the Platoon.
Zones have one entrance. and said passage moving its location when becoming an exit, it is not rare. But two entrances simultaneously open, is unheard of.
"Should we sent a Trinity to explore what's on the other side?". Inquires N'Ïrk, receiving a retort from Nouy'Zula. "Wouldn't a Triskelion be better?".
"If that's what we're going for. Why not send a Triquetra then?". Replies N'Ïrk, matched by Nouy'Zula. "My girls are ready to scout…".
"No". Bverxkka intervenes. "We cannot send any of your suggestions, at least inthe way you are thinking on. To deal with the time discrepancies, we use the Endodecodex".
"That was obvious dumbass".
Comments Maggereith, who is insulted by a few members of Marshack's Triquetra.
He rises his hand and closes it. Silencing everyone, but in a literal display of power.
All sound is deprived from the Platoon's actions and the environment surrounding the immediate area.
Mouths move, but no voice comes out, agitated fists and gestures cut the air, but there is no whip like noise accompanying any movement.
Bverxkka releases the sound by opening his fist. "Ignore Maggereith Finezza. Idiots like her spoke more of what they know".
Giggles, murmurs, scoffs and laughs pave the Platoon's mood, calming quickly to listen attentively Bverxkka, when he continues with his explanation.
"The Headmistress Ganeira Marriott and the Coordinator Lycaonia Riventh serve for us, as anchors in Dhägna'Hür. Nouy'Zula Rïvaldï, N'Ïrk Ignay'Thus and Myself, are the pillars of this connection. If we pretend to explore the next vortex, we must send a Triquetra, but carrying a member of each Trinity of this Platoon, including us".
"So the rest of members in every Trinity serve as beacons for us to return without arriving too early to Dhägna'Hür?".
"Correct N'Ïrk Ignay'Thus. But this presents another problem. We are going to use Four Empiric Energy to cross in, and another Four to go out".
"Needing Four hours here, without me spending a single Emen, to cross back at Dhägna'Hür".
"Indeed N'Ïrk Ignay'Thus".
"N'Ïrk is sufficient Bverxkka".
"As you prefer N'Ïrk".
Bverxkka turns around and signals Three people. Káth'Dria Verderben, Troy Crïden and Barvro Bartolomé.
Similarly, Nouy'Zula picks Nayeli Carvine, Da'Heyliá Carionni and Bräzzeya Brännerss.
For his part, N'Ïrk selects Evennette Zuckrude, Dyll'Phá Carionni and Oddette Mussers, a blue eyed blonde with a Yellow Glint surrounding her silhouette, just like Indayra has.
The Combined Triquetra departs to the next vortex after leaving clear orders to the other members of the Platoon.
The instructions are precise. Set up a camp and maintain a defensive perimeter. Gather resources, and don't stray too far.
Because it doesn't matter how harmless the environment may look to their eyes. One can't know if there is something else lurking in their shadows, or camouflaged in the weird foodly landscape that is actually too foreign to all of them…
