Chapter 210: Chapter 210 Home Cooking
"It’s not been that long. If you want to eat something delicious, take my Sophie with you." Julian Campbell was utterly unreserved with Edward Sherwood.
"Alright, deal." Edward laughed good-naturedly, "Looks like I’m the one getting a bargain."
Their cheerful banter infuriated Grace Wilson to no end; she’d been talking for ages without getting anywhere.
Ophelia Wilson, of course, observed everything but pretended not to notice.
She had no intention of intervening in this matter.
After the meal, Edward went over for makeup.
His assistant approached him and, only when there was no one else around, quietly reminded him, "Brother Wells, that person is at odds with Ophelia Wilson."
Others probably saw it as Grace Wilson competing with Sophie Wilson, but many discerning people knew better.
"Should I be afraid of Ophelia Wilson?" Edward asked with a sneer.
"Brother Wells, I heard Ophelia Wilson is going to marry into the Seymour Family." The assistant reminded Edward that Ophelia had the backing of the Wilson Clan, and now, because of her, the Wilsons were aligning with the Seymours.
Once that powerful alliance is formed, it’s not something an ordinary person can afford to provoke.
"Their marriage is their business; it has nothing to do with me." Edward dismissed it with a wave of his hand, completely unconcerned.
Seeing that his assistant was still worried, Edward laughed and said, "Do you remember the restaurant I wanted to find the last time we were here?"
"Of course I do." The assistant remembered vividly, "We tried three times and still didn’t get to eat there. I’ve never seen such a high-profile restaurant."
"It’s a private kitchen." Edward chuckled, noting his assistant’s deep-seated grievance about that place.
"I know it’s a private kitchen, but isn’t that going too far?" The assistant grumbled discontentedly, "They only serve three tables a day, only at dinner, and don’t accept reservations... It’s ridiculous."
"Doing business like that, and they’re still open, not bankrupt." The assistant was just complaining but knew full well the place was thriving.
Didn’t he see the long line of people waiting outside every day with his own eyes?
"Brother Wells, is the food at that restaurant really that good?" The assistant couldn’t quite grasp Edward’s obsession with the place. Given Brother Wells’ current standing, is there anything he couldn’t have?
"If it wasn’t good, would I want to go back one more time?" Edward sighed, "I only got to go once because I happened to be with a friend back then."
That opportunity was truly rare.
"But it’s hard to get in." The assistant wore a long face; he’d tried to queue up now that they were in this city for an outdoor shoot, but unfortunately, he couldn’t get in.
"No need." Edward waved his hand, smiling.
The assistant’s eyes lit up, "Brother Wells, have you finally given up?"
God knows, whenever there was an event in this city, Brother Wells would go on about that restaurant’s food, only to leave disappointed every time, never getting his wish.
"Give up? Why would I give up?" Edward asked, puzzled, "Once you’ve tasted their food, you want to go back."
"Then you..." The assistant was baffled; what did Brother Wells mean just now?
"I’ve already eaten there, and now I can eat it every day." Edward said with delight.
"You’ve eaten there? Where?" The assistant was stunned; he hadn’t seen Brother Wells leave last night.
"Sophie Wilson ate there." Edward smiled with a meaningful expression, leaving his assistant utterly dumbfounded.
