Chapter 386: I Will Never Let This Go

Chapter 386: Chapter 386: I Will Never Let This Go

James Grant cast a cold glance at Jasper Grant, saying nothing.

The three of them sat in the living room, and Jasper poured tea for Harrison Grant, maintaining a humble smile despite the silence and stillness.

However, Harrison Grant’s face grew darker with James Grant’s silence, until it was unbearable.

"Speak up." Harrison Grant snorted, "I heard you went to that Gem recently and secretly met with Evelyn Clayton!"

James Grant sat across from Harrison, his suit unable to hide the decay on him.

Going to The Ford Family today made him truly feel uneasy and threatened.

Violet Ford was overly attentive to Evelyn, so much so that he instantly saw through the intentions of the renowned eldest daughter of the Ford Family.

He couldn’t believe that Violet had no intention of setting up Franklin Ford and Evelyn Clayton.

"Yes, I met her, so what?" James said blandly, his handsome features filled with sarcasm, "Are you not even going to give me the most basic freedom now?"

Harrison had reached his limit of patience and smashed the porcelain cup in his hand.

Bang!

The porcelain shattered, a fragment grazing James’s eyebrow, leaving a faint red mark.

Yet his expression remained unchanged, like a serene Buddha, quietly watching Harrison.

"Don’t forget! You’re a Grant, you’re part of the Grant Family!" Harrison pointed to Jasper, who was squatting to pick up the pieces, gentle and silent, "Look at your brother, then look at yourself, do you even have a bit of the appearance of a Grant family member left!"

James’s mocking gaze swept over Jasper, meeting his eyes.

Seeing the warm smile in Jasper’s eyes, James only felt nauseated.

"Does seeing the person I want to see mean I’m no longer part of the Grant Family? Father, is your harshness directed only at me?" James laughed softly, feigning an innocent question.

He knew Harrison was somewhat losing his composure today.

Because of Violet’s importance to Evelyn, because of Evelyn’s rapid rise.

Harrison was scared.

Harrison laughed in exasperation, "You don’t need to mock me! I’m going to be blunt with you today, the only reason I was willing to let Marcus marry Evelyn was that she was still somewhat useful! Now she’s strong enough, connected with The Ford Family, with Violet... Do you think she’ll obediently come back to be with you?!"

At this point, Harrison felt a deep disappointment in his son, "Wake up! Evelyn Clayton will eventually seek revenge on the Grant Family!"

Harrison intertwined his hands, leisurely looking at him, indifferently saying, "Shouldn’t she seek revenge?"

Not to mention Evelyn Clayton, he too had had enough of the Grant Family.

"What do you mean by that?!" Harrison suddenly stood up, glaring fiercely at James, "Make yourself clear!"

James sneered, choosing not to respond.

Harrison’s face turned livid, "Fine, fine, this is my good son! In that case, I’ll put it bluntly here today!"

"Either you act early and bring Evelyn Clayton down, and maybe she’ll be left with a way out! Or, get out of the Grant Family!"

Jasper paused slightly while coming over to support Harrison, looking at James.

He sighed lightly, as if troubled, "Brother, stop making Dad angry—"

"Shut up." James looked at him coldly, "Is this a place for you to speak?"

Jasper’s eyes narrowed slightly, a vague smile passing through his eyes, and he remained silent.

Harrison paid no attention to any of this, his eyes bloodshot as he stared at his eldest son, waiting for a response.

After a while, James suddenly stood up.

Harrison’s temples throbbed violently, "What are you going to do?!"

"Didn’t you say you want me out of the Grant Family?" James’s tone was lazy, "Alright, I’ll do as you wish. But Father, let me be clear, if you lay a finger on Evelyn Clayton, I will not let it go."
