Chapter 661: Combination of Two Top-level Techniques

Chapter 661: Combination of Two Top-level Techniques

Beautifly’s technique, “Source of Stamina,” which it had been studying for a long time, was put into initial use today, forming a rough prototype, which made Terrance overjoyed.

This not only confirmed the feasibility of the technique but also marked that Beautifly could now combine the two top-level techniques, “Wind Domain” and “Source of Stamina,” greatly enhancing its power.

At this moment, Beautifly, enveloped in a mysterious pale yellow aura, hovered in the courtyard outside the laboratory. Despite its cute appearance, it emanated a powerful and imposing aura.

Under Beautifly’s manipulation, the totem aura around it became chaotic, like turbulent air currents, extremely wild!

Beautifly was the first Pokémon in Terrance’s team to actively attempt to harness the energy of the totem aura!

This power, originating from “The Blinding One,” had always been used by Terrance’s other Pokémon as a passive enhancement buff. But today, Beautifly made a bold move.

Under its manipulation, the totem aura energy began to disintegrate and shatter, like a whirlpool moving against the current. However, in the next moment, Beautifly failed to control the power and triggered an explosion, seriously injuring itself.

“Don’t rush it. Try again, take it slowly,” Terrance said.

Beautifly slowly took to the air again, recalling the accidental success just moments before, its gaze serious.

Whoosh!

The fluctuations of the totem aura began to destabilize once more. This time, it seemed to go much more smoothly. Under Beautifly’s control, the disintegration and reformation of the totem aura formed a stable cycle. Taking advantage of the gap, Beautifly absorbed the energy released during the disintegration of the totem aura – solar energy!

Under the influence of Beautifly’s “Giga Drain,” the sunlight was being plundered by both Beautifly and the totem aura. In this process, Beautifly appeared to be exerting a great deal of effort to gradually alter the “inertia” of the totem aura’s form, assimilating the sunlight into its own Morning Sun move.

Through the plundering, Beautifly could sense an overwhelming abundance of vitality.

“Use Wind Domain after Quiver Dance,” Terrance instructed.

Hearing the command, Beautifly nodded and began dancing gracefully. During this process, countless powdery scales floated off and circled around its body with the breeze.

As Beautifly danced, the gentle breeze grew even warmer, but Terrance and the Rotom Pokédex both smiled.

Though the breeze may appear gentle, it was actually the result of Beautifly compressing air waves to their utmost limit using the vibration technique of Bug Buzz. The sharpness carried within that slight breeze far surpassed the power of moves like Air Cutter.

The intensely compressed, simple air currents became both Beautifly’s eyes and its weapon. In the process, Beautifly’s wings were damaged, and the energy and stamina consumption reached a terrifying level.

Terrance and Rotom Pokédex both knew that without stamina and a strong body, this brilliance would only last for a moment.

“Mismagius, use Shadow Ball!”

In the next instant, Terrance issued a command. Behind him, the concealed Mismagius instantly formed a dark purple Energy Ball.

Within the Energy Ball was a massive amount of compressed energy. Aside from illusion skills, this was Mismagius’s primary offensive technique since reaching the Elite Four level.

But even so, as the Shadow Ball rapidly flew toward Beautifly, without any warning from Terrance, Beautifly seemed to foresee the future. Almost the instant the Shadow Ball was about to make contact, it slightly shifted its body to the side, and then…

In the blink of an eye, the air currents controlled by Beautifly transformed into a barrage of continuous wind blades, and in less than 0.1 seconds, it shredded the Shadow Ball into pieces!

The clash of energy should have caused a powerful explosion, but the speed of the wind blades was simply too fast. Their cutting property, enhanced with powdery scales, was too strong. The Shadow Ball was directly sliced into several irregular energy fragments. The cutting speed was even faster than the energy’s reaction time to explode!!

And by the time the Shadow Ball finally exploded, Beautifly had already landed in front of Terrance, canceling its “Wind Domain” technique.

“Let me see your injuries.” Terrance extended his arm, letting Beautifly fly onto it as he began checking its condition.

From the wings to the body, and by asking Beautifly about its energy expenditure, Terrance became increasingly shocked.

After dodging and destroying Mismagius’s Shadow Ball, Beautifly’s energy loss was minimal…almost negligible?!

Although Mismagius hadn’t used its totem aura, its base power was also strong.

Just like Mismagius hadn’t shown its full strength, Beautifly also clearly still had power in reserve.

“So amazing, Roto!!” Rotom Pokédex exclaimed in surprise, looking at Beautifly in admiration.

If Terrance’s other Pokémon could reach the Elite Four level through sheer strength and stats, then Beautifly had completely achieved this level through technique alone! ℞ä₦Ȯ฿Еṥ

“Incredible, but you still need more practice,” Terrance said with a satisfied smile.

Day Fourteen.

After five more days of training, Terrance tested Beautifly’s “Wind Domain” and “Source of Stamina” techniques in multiple ways and obtained very promising data.

Through these days of refinement, Beautifly no longer struggled to execute the “Source of Stamina” technique. The influence of the totem aura had significantly lessened, and Beautifly could now freely draw on light energy at any moment to heal its body and replenish its stamina.

Thanks to this high-frequency training, Beautifly’s “Wind Domain” technique no longer required a prior Quiver Dance to boost its physique.

Beautifly’s overall strength and stats also began to improve steadily through this repeated cycle of damage and recovery using top-level techniques.

The next day, Terrance’s rental period for the laboratory expired.

He chose not to extend the lease. The laboratory’s value had been fully exhausted over the past two weeks.

Not only had he optimized Arcanine’s diet recipe, but with the help of various observation instruments, he had also assisted Beautifly in mastering the reverse totem aura technique on a microscopic level. It could be said Terrance had gained incredible gains during these two weeks.

Over those same two weeks, Terrance’s Castform and Gallade had also been far from idle.

They too had undergone intense special training.

Castform’s Rainy Form had already reached the Elite Four level. Its control over the power of ice and snow became terrifying when enhanced by that form. However, its Sunny Form was noticeably weaker, and its mastery over the power of Sandstorm still had major deficiencies.

Terrance doesn’t need to worry too much about Castform’s performance in solely rainy weather conditions, but he hoped to train it into a versatile Pokémon capable of adapting to all kinds of battlefields.

Therefore, when it came to the power of the sun and sandstorm, Terrance still needed to conduct further training with it.

Lastly, to help Gallade complete its final step of training, Terrance traveled to a place in the Kalos region known as the Battle Castle.
