Chapter 863 Silence Is Golden

This wasn't the first time Yin Xi had removed stitches for him. When they returned from Country B, his leg was injured, and she had personally removed them for him.

As expected, having gone through it once, her movements and mindset were much steadier.

When Yin Xi removed the last stitch, Qin Si Ye felt a great sense of relief throughout his body.

He abruptly lifted his head, attempting to sit up.

Yin Xi quickly pushed him back down. "Don't move, it's not finished yet. It needs to be disinfected, and then a piece of gauze will be applied."

"What? Gauze too? Isn't that the same as before?" Qin Si Ye asked in surprise, his expression darkening.

"There's actually quite a big difference. Without stitches pulling at you now, it will be much easier to move around," Yin Xi explained patiently as she disinfected the wound. "The purpose of applying gauze is to protect the wound and prevent external intrusion."

"But my leg wasn't like this when it was injured last time," Qin Si Ye still couldn't understand. He felt that after finally having the stitches removed and feeling a bit lighter, he still had to have a new piece of gauze applied.

Yin Xi stopped her actions and looked at him sternly. "Are your leg and abdomen the same? Don't you know which part is more important?"

Why was this man sometimes like a child? Just putting a piece of gauze on it made him so uncomfortable?

Seeing a hint of displeasure on her face, Qin Si Ye quickly said, "Alright. You're the doctor, so I'll listen to everything you say. Whatever you say, I'll do."

Seeing him say that, Yin Xi felt a pang of guilt, thinking her attitude had been a bit too harsh. Her expression immediately softened. "The gauze will be on for one day, and it can be removed tomorrow afternoon. However, the wound must not get wet for three days."

Upon hearing this, Qin Si Ye's eyes instantly lit up. "No problem, I can definitely do that."

"Okay, you can get up now," Yin Xi said after applying the gauze, turning to pack the medical kit.

As Qin Si Ye lifted his head, he let out a muffled groan.

Yin Xi turned around in a hurry. "What's wrong? Does your wound hurt again?"

"No." Qin Si Ye frowned and extended a hand to her. "My leg is a bit numb. Can you pull me up?"

Yin Xi unhesitatingly reached out her hand. The next moment, the man stood up, stumbled a step, and then pulled her tightly into his embrace.

After a while, they remained in this posture, silent, yet able to feel each other's rhythmic heartbeats.

Yin Xi instantly understood that the man's actions just now were intentional. But he didn't let go, and she couldn't bear to push him away. She was even somewhat immersed in this embrace. As the saying goes, silence is more eloquent than words. She knew that he was thinking of her at this moment, just as her heart was filled with him. Many things did not require excessive words; only by experiencing them with one's heart could true resonance be achieved. This was the feeling she desired.

Just then, Qin Si Ye's phone ringing broke the silence in the room. He slowly released her, his expression somber, glanced at the phone, and slid to answer.

"Hello?"

"Okay. I'll be at the computer right away."

With that, he looked deeply at Yin Xi and walked out of the room.

Zhao Ze on the other end of the phone felt his heart tighten. Why did he sound unhappy? Was he calling at the wrong time? He looked down at his watch; it was already past nine in the morning. He had deliberately chosen this time to call, so there shouldn't be a problem.

He cautiously reported work matters to Qin Si Ye, finally saying, "President, you asked me to investigate Miss Meng's itinerary. I've found out."

"Oh? Speak quickly," Qin Si Ye responded.

"She left K City on Monday morning with her assistant, Bai Lin, by car, taking a suitcase. She hasn't returned these past few days," Zhao Ze said seriously.

"I understand," Qin Si Ye's pupils contracted, and he hung up the phone.

Could it be that those photos weren't sent to the pharmacy by her people? Or had she planned everything in advance, playing a game of "golden cicada shedding its shell" in front of him?
