Missing your smile

Chapter 29 Song Bingbing

As Qin Hui opened the door, a vase flew towards him. Qin Hui grabbed it with his right hand.

Looking at the Song Dynasty vase in his hand, Qin Hui couldn't help but sigh at the capriciousness of the rich.

"Who are you?"

"Never mind, it's not important. Leave!"

Song Bingbing sat on the floor, hugging her knees, her head buried. She began to cry.

Qin Hui's gaze swept over the woman, and he nodded with satisfaction. He hadn't expected his patient to be so beautiful. Her figure was comparable to Jiang Yanxi's.

Even though the woman was sobbing, her voice was incredibly pleasant to hear. Even the singers on television couldn't compare.

"Why aren't you leaving yet?"

Song Bingbing slightly lifted her head, scrutinizing Qin Hui before her. However, she dared not raise her head further, as her left cheek had been corroded by sulfuric acid, leaving a festering wound.

For a woman, especially a beautiful one, encountering such a situation was worse than death.

"I am a doctor. Don't worry, I'm confident I can cure your condition. Please raise your head and let me take a look."

Qin Hui patiently persuaded her. To treat an illness, the patient's full cooperation was essential.

"No!"

"If you really had a way, you would have started treating me long ago. Besides, your techniques left me with scars."

Song Bingbing refused outright.

"Don't worry, I won't lie to you. If I can't cure you, you can hold me accountable. You won't lose out anyway."

Qin Hui said shamelessly.

"Hmph, how can you call me shameless? You're despicable."

Song Bingbing protested, but her resistance had lessened compared to before.

"How can you call me shameless? I'm a doctor, and you're a patient. Or you can think of me as your friend. Surely you don't want to stay like this forever."

Qin Hui sat opposite Song Bingbing, resting his chin on his hand, speaking calmly.

"Friend? I don't want to be friends with you."

Song Bingbing secretly glanced at Qin Hui with her beautiful eyes. Seeing that he showed no fear, she felt a little more at ease.

"My name is Qin Hui."

Qin Hui generously extended his right hand.

"Song Bingbing."

Song Bingbing did not reach out to shake Qin Hui's hand, merely stating her name coldly.

"A nice name, as beautiful as you are."

Qin Hui nodded. Although the beauty before him was stunning, Qin Hui knew it wasn't the time to admire her. He had to treat her illness first.

Any ordinary person would be overjoyed to hear such a compliment. Which woman doesn't want to be praised? But for Song Bingbing, the words were met with surprise.

"Don't you recognize me?"

Song Bingbing asked with a hint of disbelief.

"Uh, no, I don't. They said there was a very special patient here, so they asked me to try. To be honest, I'm not a doctor at this hospital."

Qin Hui chatted with Song Bingbing as if they were old friends.

Seeing that he didn't recognize her, Song Bingbing's confidence was instantly shattered.

She was a popular rising star, recognized by everyone in the domestic entertainment industry, with countless fans pursuing her.

Song Bingbing was very confident in her fame. Ever since her debut, she had acted in major films, participated in numerous variety shows, and later attracted a large fanbase with her sweet singing voice.

Therefore, anyone who had watched television would likely recognize Song Bingbing. Yet today, Song Bingbing found someone who didn't know her?

"You really don't recognize me?"

Song Bingbing looked at Qin Hui with disbelief, lifting her head to scrutinize him.

"If I'm lying, I'm a dog."

Qin Hui laughed, looking at Song Bingbing's gem-like eyes. He found his patient quite cute.

Seeing Qin Hui's clear gaze, Song Bingbing's spirits deflated. It was evident that Qin Hui genuinely didn't know her.

"So, do you really have a way to cure my face?"

Song Bingbing asked with some doubt.

She had already visited several hospitals before coming here.

"Raise your face and let me see, then I can give you a definitive answer."

Qin Hui said earnestly.

"Okay, fine."

Song Bingbing hesitated for a moment before finally lifting her head. Since her face had already been seen, she figured another look wouldn't hurt.

When Song Bingbing lifted her head, her disfigured face was revealed to Qin Hui.

Anyone else seeing this face would have turned pale with fright, as Song Bingbing's face resembled the female ghosts from "Mr. Vampire."

Song Bingbing had expected Qin Hui to be startled, but seeing that he showed no sign of fear, her heart finally settled.

"W-what do you think? Can my face still be treated?"

Song Bingbing asked, her voice laced with uncertainty.

"Of course."

Qin Hui snapped his fingers.

Qin Hui thought it was a big problem. For others, it was indeed quite difficult, but for Qin Hui, it was much simpler.

"You two can come in now."

Qin Hui stood up and called out.

Soon, Sister Hong and Zhao Wuji, who were at the door, entered.

"Divine Doctor Qin, how is it? Is there a solution?"

Zhao Wuji asked with concern.

Qin Hui did not reply. Instead, he picked up a pen and paper, quickly writing a prescription and handing it to Zhao Wuji.

"Get all the medicine listed here and have it brewed."

Qin Hui instructed.

Zhao Wuji immediately nodded. Since Qin Hui said so, it meant he had a solution.

"Bingbing, are you alright? Should we go to Yan Jing instead?"

Despite Qin Hui's confidence, Sister Hong did not entirely trust him.

"Sister Hong, please let Qin Hui try this once. I believe in him."

Song Bingbing's attitude had shifted considerably. After all, Qin Hui had left a good impression on her. At the very least, they seemed to get along well.

"Alright."

Since Song Bingbing had spoken, Sister Hong could only comply.

"Oh, right, Sister Hong, could you go buy me some snacks I like?"

Song Bingbing said after a moment's thought.

"You! At a time like this, you're still thinking about food."

Sister Hong was completely speechless, thinking how exhausting it was to be her agent.

After Sister Hong and Zhao Wuji left, only Qin Hui and Song Bingbing remained in the room.

Qin Hui could tell that Song Bingbing had deliberately asked Sister Hong to leave.

"Um, can you, can you chat with me a bit longer? Just like friends."

Song Bingbing said somewhat shyly.

Normally, she was very busy and had few friends. After this incident, her friends were eager to distance themselves from her.

"Sure, it's my honor. I'm just afraid you won't recognize me as a friend later on."

Qin Hui smiled faintly and sat down on the floor, starting to chat about mundane life matters.

Qin Hui could have told some jokes, but he was worried about hurting Song Bingbing's face if she laughed, so he abandoned that idea.
