"Me too," Susu said, looking at the sea, which was more beautiful than in the brochure. "With Ningyu playing, Tian Tian doesn't cling to me and Tianyi as much anymore."
Lan Yu gently nudged her arm and whispered, "Look, Tangtang doesn't like playing with them either. She keeps watching Tianyi and Hengheng play in the sea. Do you think she wants to try snorkeling?"
Susu then noticed Tangtang and realized she didn't quite fit in with Tian Tian and Ningyu.
Tangtang was about the same age as Tian Tian and Hengheng, but she was more mature psychologically than her peers. This was related to her experience in the orphanage after birth.
She had never been spoiled. Even after Susu brought her home, and Tianyi and Susu treated her very well, she remained cautious and well-behaved in everything she did, afraid of being disliked.
Susu walked over to her and asked, "Do you want to learn to snorkel?"
Tangtang quickly shook her head. "I'm afraid of water, and I don't want to touch it. I just like watching how Daddy and my brother dive into the sea."
Susu patted her head and asked, "Why don't you go play with Tian Tian and Ningyu?"
"Just now, I couldn't get a word in when they were talking back and forth. I'll go play with them now," Tangtang said, smiling as she went to find Tian Tian.
Susu felt a strange pang in her heart. Tangtang was so well-behaved it made her ache. She was accustomed to pleasing adults and the children around her, a people-pleasing personality.
"This girl you adopted is so well-behaved. She looks so easy to take care of," Lan Yu said, coming up to Susu. "If Xiaoxiao had half her good behavior back then, An Jing and I wouldn't have had conflicts over her."
"This child really hasn't caused any trouble, but I hope she won't be so serious all the time. It would be great if she were more cheerful."
As soon as Susu finished speaking, a wave appeared on the previously calm sea, and the yacht began to pitch and roll.
Susu quickly told everyone to grab the yacht's railings. As she and Lan Yu walked toward Tian Tian and the others, Lan Yu suddenly felt dizzy, her vision went black, and she collapsed on the deck.
Susu was startled and immediately crouched down to help her up. "Lan Yu, wake up. Are you okay?"
Ningyu also rushed over to call for her mother.
Lan Yu opened her eyes, feeling weak all over. After a moment, she said, "I'm fine. The waves were a bit big just now. I must have gotten seasick."
Susu helped her up with effort and made her sit down. "Are you sure it's just seasickness? I've never heard of you having this problem before."
She then asked Xiao Mei to get a jacket and draped it over Lan Yu. "Why don't we go back to shore? You can go to the hotel's infirmary to get checked."
Lan Yu felt a little better and quickly said, "No need. It's not that serious. If it's not seasickness, then maybe I'm a bit anemic."
"Mom, if you're not feeling well, we should go back," Ningyu said, leaning against Lan Yu.
Susu, seeing how caring Ningyu was at such a young age, picked her up and had her sit next to Lan Yu. "Ningyu, you're so good. You know how to care for your mother."
Ningyu pouted and asked, "Why hasn't Daddy come to find us? Mom isn't feeling well. I want to go find Daddy."
Lan Yu mustered her energy and looked down at her. "I'm fine. Don't tell Daddy about this. Even if Daddy comes back, don't tell him."
Ningyu said "oh" but lowered her head, unable to understand.
Susu patted Ningyu's head. "Don't worry, your mom is fine. Go play with Tian Tian."
"Mom isn't feeling well, so I'm not playing. I'm staying with her," Ningyu said, tightly gripping Lan Yu's hand.
Lan Yu felt a surge of warmth.
The sea surface returned to calm. Tianyi emerged from the water with Hengheng and waved at Susu.
Seeing them on the sea, Susu waved back and signaled for Tianyi to come onto the yacht.
Tianyi sensed that something was happening on the yacht and immediately swam to the side with Hengheng, climbing up the ladder.
Once on deck, Tianyi first helped Hengheng take off his diving suit.
Exhausted, Hengheng sat directly on the deck, panting heavily.
Tianyi also took off his diving suit and patted Hengheng's shoulder. "It's your first time learning to snorkel, and you did very well. When you're older, I'll teach you diving."
Hengheng caught his breath and said, "Daddy, I'm not a child anymore. I want to learn diving now and go to the deeper sea to see more beautiful coral."
Tianyi repeated, "We'll talk about it when you're older."
Then he looked at Susu and asked, "What's wrong? Is something happening?"
As Susu was about to speak, Tian Tian ran over and hugged Tianyi's leg. "Daddy, why did you take Brother to dive and not me? I want to play in the sea too."
Tianyi picked her up and kissed her cheek. "After I rest for a bit, I'll take you to play in the sea. I'm afraid I can't guarantee your safety if I bring both of you at the same time."
Tian Tian nuzzled his neck and said, "Daddy, take me, and let Mom and Aunt Lan take Ningyu. Let's all go swimming in the sea..."
Susu interrupted her. "Tianyi, let's not play anymore today. Let's go back to the hotel first. Lan Yu doesn't seem well. The yacht just bumped, and she fainted."
"I'm fine. You're all having fun, so don't go back to the hotel because of me," Lan Yu said quickly, trying to get up, but she still felt a bit dizzy.
Tianyi saw that her complexion was indeed not good and agreed with Susu. "Then let's go back. It's inevitable to have some bumps at sea. It's better for you to rest at the hotel."
Tian Tian, however, was being unreasonable and still hugged Tianyi's neck, saying with a pout, "Daddy, I still want to swim in the sea with you..."
"Qin Yutian, didn't you see that Aunt Lan just fainted?" Susu said to her displeasedly.
She immediately became well-behaved, staying in Tianyi's arms and not daring to make another sound.
Tianyi carried Tian Tian to the cockpit and said, "We can't swim today, but we can go swimming tomorrow."
"Okay, Daddy," Tian Tian said, but not without giving Susu a wronged look.
Susu maintained a stern expression towards her. This girl was spoiled, and sometimes you couldn't indulge her too much.
Seeing Qin Tianyi and Tian Tian go to the cockpit, Lan Yu said apologetically, "Susu, I've disappointed Tian Tian. She was looking forward to swimming in the sea."
"It's okay. We're staying here for a few more days. There will be plenty of opportunities to swim in the sea," Susu said, telling her not to stand up. "Just bear with it a little longer. We'll be back at the hotel soon."
Lan Yu nodded and said no more. Now, she not only felt dizzy but also a bit nauseous. Had she eaten something bad?
But Susu and the others had eaten the same thing on the yacht, and they weren't uncomfortable. Why was she the only one feeling unwell?
After the yacht docked and they arrived at the hotel, Tianyi was still worried and instructed Susu to take Lan Yu to the hotel's infirmary.
He had promised An Jing that he would take care of Lan Yu and her daughter, so he couldn't let anything happen to them.
Susu felt the same way. Although Lan Yu thought they were making a fuss, she couldn't persuade Susu.
