Chapter 837 Do Not Meddle

"Captain Chen, why did you bring us to a school?" Vanessa asked, her head full of confusion, as Chen Xiao finally stopped at the entrance of a school.

"I want to evacuate all students and staff from this school as quickly as possible. Does anyone have a way?"

Due to the time difference, it was still afternoon in Constein, far from the time school ended.

"Boulder, it looks like it's your turn," Vanessa said, glancing at the well-built strongman.

"Mhm," Boulder nodded and took out his phone to make a call.

A minute later, Boulder returned and said coldly, "Done, Captain Chen."

In fact, he still didn't believe Chen Xiao would find the Heavenly Being here. The only reason he was willing to cooperate with Chen Xiao's work, besides not wanting to provoke him, was to witness Chen Xiao's final failure and humiliation firsthand.

Done so quickly? Chen Xiao looked deeply at the physically strong guy. His mind, it seemed, was not simple.

Noticing Chen Xiao's puzzled gaze, Vanessa explained with a charming laugh, "Captain Chen, you might not know this, but Boulder is an agent of the Fubler, a very high-ranking one. Among superhumans, he's also the closest to the authorities."

"I see." Chen Xiao nodded.

Immediately after, he witnessed the power of a Fubler agent. An alarm sounded within the school, and students and staff began to be evacuated. The evacuated students were confused and gathered in twos and threes, discussing what had happened. Having lived in the United States for many years, various shooting incidents had made their nerves quite jaded. When faced with danger, their first thought wasn't to flee, but to investigate and see what the danger was.

However, Chen Xiao then found a large group of students crowding around.

"Wow, it's the Superhuman Task Force! It seems the school is really in trouble this time."

"What kind of trouble could it be? An anti-human terrorist organization? Or something else?"

"Who cares? As long as the Superhuman Task Force is here, we're definitely safe!"

"Mr. Boulder, I'm your biggest fan! Can I take a picture with you?"

"Beautiful Ms. Vanessa, I dreamt of you last night. It was a passionate dream."

"Hey, Vincent, when are you going to take off your mask? I bet your expression under that mask right now is extremely impatient!"

Seeing this scene, Chen Xiao's eyes widened, and he looked at the three of them in surprise, asking, "They all know you?"

"We're household names, superheroes. This isn't special treatment," Vanessa shrugged, seeming used to such scenes.

Chen Xiao frowned and said displeasedly, "I meant to have them evacuated. Don't you understand? Don't let them stay here. It might be very dangerous!"

"We can't do anything about that. Once they leave the school, they have the freedom to gather," Vincent said helplessly.

"This truly is a 'free' country!" Chen Xiao said with a cold laugh. Since these people were courting death, he wouldn't bother anymore. His prior warning was already the utmost of his good intentions.

Just then, the target Chen Xiao had been waiting for suddenly appeared.

"You three, control that kid for me," Chen Xiao said, pointing at a teenager who had just walked out of the school gate.

The teenager looked no older than fifteen or sixteen, with curly hair, a face full of freckles, a plaid shirt, and jeans. He walked with his head down, wearing thick glasses, looking like a bookworm, at least the type of person unwelcome at school. This was evident from the fact that he had no friends around him.

"Captain Chen, you want the three of us to deal with a bookworm? Are you underestimating him, or underestimating us?" Vincent immediately protested.

"This is my first assessment, or rather, a test for you. If you can bring him here smoothly, I'll consider you passed," Chen Xiao said calmly.

The three exchanged glances, seeing the helpless expression on each other's faces. Their expressions seemed to convey that they were indulging a madman's whims, but with an unavoidable sense of obligation.

"Vanessa, since it's about dealing with a man, I'll leave this to you," Boulder said, crossing his arms. Clearly, in his opinion, dealing with a bookworm, if all three of them went together, would be an absolute disgrace.

Vanessa clearly didn't want to take on this task either. Rolling her eyes, she said, "I'm good at dealing with men, but this kid is, at most, a boy."

"Alright, stop the nonsense. Just have someone go and bring him here quickly!" Vincent said impatiently, his gaze fixed on Vanessa, making it clear who was expected to go.

"You guys aren't being very gentlemanly," Vanessa complained unhappily, but after speaking, she still swayed her full and perky backside as she walked towards the bookworm.

"You will pay for underestimating your opponent," Chen Xiao said calmly, shaking his head. He wanted to test the strength of these three, and this 'bookworm' was undoubtedly the best touchstone.

"Our opponent? A bookworm? Captain Chen, please don't insult us!" Vincent said unhappily. Chen Xiao was too lazy to explain; reality would soon teach them a lesson.

"Hi, little one, can you do me a favor?" Vanessa had already reached the bookworm, and as she spoke, she almost pressed half of her chest onto the bookworm's glasses. Her sexy figure had always been her pride, and she never hesitated to show it off to everyone, even if the other person was just an unpopular bookworm.

However, the bookworm did not, as she had imagined, focus his gaze on her proud cleavage. In fact, the bookworm's reaction could be described as completely ignoring her.

"What do you want me to help with?" the bookworm asked indifferently.

"My friend wants to meet you. Can you come with me? I promise, it will only take a very short amount of your time," Vanessa said, licking her lips as a guarantee. When she acted flirtatiously, almost no man could resist her charm, let alone a young boy in his prime. Unless he was someone uninterested in women, and based on Vanessa's observation of this bookworm, he was clearly not that kind of child.

However, the bookworm's answer still greatly exceeded her expectations.

"Tell your friend to get lost and mind his own business!"
