Chapter 144: I Must Seal Her Bloodline
Jade stopped before the oak wooden door, gesturing for Jinx to enter. "This is your room."
Jinx gave a small nod: "We attack tomorrow. Get yourself ready; the God Wolf isn’t an easy target."
With that, she walked past Jade, stepped inside the room, and closed the door behind her. Her eyes immediately began to scan the space. It was a medium-sized room, simply furnished with a bed and a couch positioned near a large window.
"I’m your strongest ally, and you put me in here?" Jinx grumbled to herself, walking over to the window. She peered out, her gaze falling on a sprawling garden below.
"But the view isn’t that bad," she admitted, her eyes sweeping over the rest of the room. "So, I have two couches, a desk, and a bed... nothing else. These guys are really looking down on me."
Raising her hand, she snapped her fingers, sending a wave of energy throughout the room.
’No cameras.’ Jinx’s surprise was palpable.
’She must really trust me.’ She walked over to the bed and sat down.
’I should send a message to Sunny... at least he should know about my added plan.’
Just as she was about to send the message, a call appeared on her cosmic brain.
"Speak of the devil," Jinx snorted, answering the call. The sight that greeted her on the screen made her freeze in shock.
"What the?!"
___
[Back at the cave.]
Star stared at the familiar entrance of the cave with a frown. "Why are we back here?" she asked.
"There’s something Ellen needs to see," Sunny replied, taking Ellen’s hand and leading her inside. Star followed quickly behind them.
_
After walking for a while, they arrived at the chamber.
Ellen and Star were stunned. In the center of the room stood an ice coffin. But the sight of the body within it was what truly shocked them.
"Is that...?" Ellen whispered.
"Yes... Your real father. Zohar." Sunny said, letting go of Ellen’s hand and walking toward the coffin.
"He was in the second tree... And I think you’re the only one who can free him... Well, you or Jinx." He pointed at a handprint on the surface of the coffin.
Ellen took a step forward, turning to Sunny who slowly nodded his head. "Go ahead."
She exhaled slowly and placed her palm on the handprint.
CRACK!!!
The two of them quickly stepped back as Sunny positioned himself protectively in front of Ellen, watching the ice coffin as cracks spread across its surface.
BOOOM!
The ice shattered, and Zohar landed on the ground. A dense wave of spirit energy flowed from him, filling the entire chamber, but the three of them felt nothing but warmth from it.
"It seems one of you finally made it," Zohar said, stepping forward. He stopped when he saw Sunny and Star.
"Sunny Draco, and Star Draco... Should I call you that or your previous names?"
"No need," Sunny replied.
Zohar nodded and lowered his gaze to Ellen, who was standing behind Sunny.
"My beautiful Jasmine... You look just like your grandmother... Your grandfather will be shocked if he sees you." A small smile touched his lips before he shook his head. "I hope he doesn’t."
"Why is that?" Sunny asked, a frown deepening on his face.
"Sunny... Is she trustworthy?" Zohar asked, gesturing to Star.
"Yes... She is my most trustworthy subordinate, and also my sister," Sunny answered, his frown deepening.
"Good," Zohar said.
"And about your question; my father, who is also their grandfather, disowned me because I was in love with their mother. He was even after Mirabella’s life... That’s why I escaped from the great world."
"Wait!" Sunny stopped him, disbelief etched on his face.
"You are from the great world?!"
Zohar nodded. "Yes... Not anymore," he said with a sad smile.
"I want to tell my girls something, but it seems only Jasmine will hear it."
"Hold on," Sunny interjected. He gave a command to his cosmic brain and sent Jinx’s contact number.
Zohar stared at the screen that appeared before him, surprised by Sunny’s unexpected action. After a few seconds, Jinx’s face appeared on the screen, and her eyes widened instantly.
"What the?" Jinx stammered.
"Jinx, this is your father... Zohar, this is your daughter, what’s her name again; Mirabella," Sunny introduced.
"My name is Jinx," Jinx corrected.
Sunny simply rolled his eyes and remained silent.
"It’s good I can see both of you again... I want to tell you two something very important," Zohar said.
"Wait... Sunny, where’s little dragon?" Jinx asked.
Sunny sighed and moved the screen to show himself, then Ellen. "She’s right here. Safe."
"Good..." Jinx smiled brightly when she saw Ellen.
"I’m waiting for your return," she said, before turning back to Sunny.
"...And after hearing him out, I want to speak to you."
Sunny nodded and moved the screen back to Zohar. "This daughter of yours isn’t easy to handle," he whispered.
Zohar chuckled. "I can see that."
"You have a problem with that?" Jinx asked with a frown. "Wait, aren’t you dead?"
"Just listen to me, I don’t have time," Zohar said.
Jinx folded her arms and nodded in agreement.
Zohar exhaled. "When you two were placed in the Ship, which later got struck by the Blood Queen..." He let out a heavy sigh.
"I was the one who separated you two."
".....!"
The words hung in the air, leaving Jinx, Ellen, Sunny, and Star stunned.
"I don’t remember all that, but why would you do such a thing?!" Jinx yelled.
"I figured if you two stayed together, you would easily be discovered... So I took the risk and separated you... sending you in opposite directions," he revealed.
"I am also the reason both of you can’t remember a thing."
"WHAT?!!!" Jinx stood up, her body trembling with rage.
"You?! Why?!"
Zohar sighed and recounted everything to Jinx, from the very beginning to the moment they got separated. After a full five minutes of explaining, Jinx collapsed back onto the bed, speechless.
"Now you know why... I had to separate you two. Together, you will easily be recognized, even now..." He turned to Ellen.
"Ellen’s bloodline was almost broken, which made Vinous detect her the moment she entered the planet... If it remains this way, there is a high chance one of the Deaths will pinpoint her whereabouts."
"You?! You’re saying, you’ll seal her bloodline again?!" Sunny asked, his voice cold.
"I’m sorry, but I have to seal it... You must think of the lives of millions. I’m sure their mother already gave a clear meaning on Lester’s powers."
"Not actually," Sunny muttered.
"Really? Okay then," Zohar said, his tone turning dark.
"Lester Blood has five Pillars, and these five are all in the fifth Order. By now, some would have entered the sixth order... Each of these five has the power to wipe out an entire city in the lower world in one hour... Not to mention Lester himself."
"....?!!"
