Chapter 1 The Hanoi City Hospital

Hanoi City Hospital, inside a nearby alley.

Su Tianyu stood in the dim corner, a walkie-talkie in his right hand, waiting silently.

There was an ambush at the hospital. The six who went in were definitely done for. Most likely, those who were caught had already spilled everything they knew. But that didn't mean the Tai family and the officials would lower their guard. So Su Tianyu was waiting for news, to see if there was any movement around the hospital.

Time ticked by. Old Hei and the other professionals didn't urge Su Tianyu, nor did they smoke. They just stood quietly in their positions, looking around.

Thirty-odd police officers, with the six captured suspects, had arrived at the motorcade. After a brief report, they took the prisoners and left the scene by car.

You Yifan led a group of people quickly to the parking lot, ready to leave by car and head to the Tai family.

Outside the car.

You Chengcheng, still shaken, glanced at her older brother and leaned over to say, "I... I won't go to the Tai family. I'll get on the boat and go back."

"Okay," You Chengcheng replied, turning to walk towards the nearby motorcade.

About a minute later, five cars left the hospital parking lot, heading straight for the Tai family, while three other cars headed for the port.

As soon as the motorcade departed, the head of the Criminal Investigation Department of the Police Department immediately shouted into the walkie-talkie at the command center, "Group One, follow 051B to the Tai family, escort them along the way! Group Two, follow 00745, escort it to the port. The person in the car is very important, protect them."

"Roger!"

As the orders were issued, a dozen police cars parked around the hospital simultaneously left their hiding places, split into two groups, and began escorting You Chengcheng and You Yifan.

These cars, and the plainclothes police officers inside, were responsible for the outer perimeter of the hospital. They were afraid that there would be a large number of attackers targeting You Yifan, and that if a shootout occurred, the police wouldn't be able to control the situation with insufficient manpower. "I don't know. I'm on the second floor of the outpatient building, I can only see their actions, but I can't hear their conversation." The man on the walkie-talkie was a mole arranged by Gui Mengjun in the hospital. "I just saw You Chengcheng leave alone."

"What about the hospital's outer perimeter? Any feedback?" Su Tianyu asked again.

"Yes, I can see two or three private cars following You Chengcheng to the port," the other party immediately replied, "You Yifan has a lot of people, five cars left with him, and there are definitely cars escorting him in secret."

Su Tianyu's brain worked rapidly, analyzing the information given by the other party.

You Yifan was much more cunning than Su Tianyu thought. Gunshots rang out at the hospital, but he didn't immediately order the police to rush into the hospital to arrest people. This reaction was very steady.

It wasn't until You Yifan himself was about to leave that the police secretly followed him, escorting him to the Tai family. The car window lowered, and Old Hei, holding an automatic rifle, fired three bursts at the lead car of the motorcade.

After the gunshots, the other motorcade quickly stopped. A police officer in the police car at the rear immediately shouted into the walkie-talkie, "Attention, attention, 00745 is under fire, immediately move closer to me!"

Three seconds later, all the police cars following behind rushed up, while You Chengcheng, sitting in the car, shouted in panic, "What's going on? Let's go, let's go!"

"Whoosh!"

On the side of the road, Su Tianyu, his face covered with a triangular scarf, a single-shoulder bag slung across his body, and a Remington shotgun in his hands, walked while racking the slide, "All the police cars are revealed, they don't have many people. Smoke grenades, no bullet wasted, quick!"

One of Old Hei's brothers used a gun-mounted grenade launcher to shatter the tire of You Chengcheng's car.

The others, following the direction the motorcade stopped, threw more than a dozen smoke grenades directly.
