Chapter 492 Temporary Change of Heart
It was a little after six in the evening.
Su Tianyu and the others entered Hua Mansion and were just about to head to the Zhou family's north branch when Hu Zi's phone rang again.
"Hello?" A-Hua answered.
"Eight o'clock, Siya District, D.O.D. bar, first floor. Don't be late." Hu Zi said again, hanging up immediately after.
A-Hua turned to Su Tianyu, "We have to leave now; it's a bit far from here to Siya District."
Hearing this, Su Tianyu looked at Zhou Tonghui, "Do you have people in Siya District?"
"That's not our territory," Zhou Tonghui shook his head. "But I can send people over."
"Okay, let's gather there." Su Tianyu glanced at his watch. "We'll go straight to Siya District now."
"Alright." Lao Hei turned on the car's GPS, changing the route to head directly to Siya District.
In the car, Su Tianyu immediately searched for the D.O.D. bar on his phone, looking up information about it.
...
About an hour and a half later, three cars stopped near the D.O.D. bar in Siya District.
In the car, Su Tianyu whispered to A-Hua, "Remember, don't be too nervous. I'll have Hou Zi and Lao Hei go in with you! Stick to two principles: first, don't hand over the money until you've spoken to Fei Pingsheng. Second, if they make demands that are completely against your interests, don't agree. At worst, we'll make a move in the bar and grab those two first. Understand?"
A-Hua nodded, "I'm not nervous. I understand."
"Okay!" Su Tianyu responded, immediately turning to Hou Guoyu, "I'm entrusting her to you. Make sure nothing happens!"
"No problem," Hou Guoyu nodded.
"You guys switch cars and drive around to the front entrance." Su Tianyu waved his hand, "Go!"
As soon as he finished speaking, Hou Guoyu and Lao Hei got out of the car with A-Hua, switched to another SUV, and drove around to the bar.
At the same time, Su Tianyu picked up the walkie-talkie and said, "I think they're likely to change the meeting location. This small town isn't big. Second Brother, take two teams and spread out around the area as an emergency response team, in case they try to escape!"
"Roger!" Su Tianbei replied.
With all the arrangements made, Su Tianyu waited quietly with his phone.
...
Ten minutes later.
A-Hua and the other two hurried into the D.O.D. bar and found a small table in the lobby, waiting quietly.
Inside the bar, Lao Hei frowned as he looked around, noticing that the customers looked menacing. Small-time gangsters and Europeans who looked like they worked underground were everywhere. Some were even openly selling drugs.
On the DJ stage, six blonde women, barely dressed, were dancing on poles, eliciting screams from the crowd.
After waiting for a while, the phone rang.
"Hello?"
A-Hua immediately answered the phone, "I'm at the bar!"
"What are you wearing? How many people?" Hu Zi asked.
"We're three people. I'm wearing a beige tracksuit, with long hair, sitting near the window," A-Hua replied calmly.
"Beep, beep!"
The other party didn't respond, hanging up directly.
"What did they say?" Lao Hei asked.
"He just asked a question, then hung up," A-Hua frowned, responding.
Lao Hei nodded, adjusting the earpiece hidden in his sleeve.
After a while, two young men in their early twenties with brightly colored hair walked over.
"Here to deliver money?" the taller, skinny one asked with a grin.
A-Hua looked up at him and slowly nodded, "Yes, here to deliver money!"
"Come with me!" the young man said, turning and walking toward the corridor on the left side of the lobby.
A-Hua paused slightly, then led Lao Hei and Hou Guoyu, following the two gangster-like young men.
Inside the lobby, drunks danced wildly, the heavy metal music making everyone's ears ring. The three of them passed through the crowded corridor, following the two young men to a stairwell at the back of the bar.
The stairwell was very dimly lit. Lao Hei stood at the entrance, while Hou Guoyu stayed close to A-Hua near the stairs.
"Where's my husband?!" A-Hua asked.
The gangster smiled wickedly, replying softly, "I don't know, but the person who wants to see you knows. You come up with me. Let them wait here."
"Brother, we brought the money. That's obviously a sign of sincerity," Hou Guoyu replied immediately, "My sister is just a woman, and she's timid. Let us accompany her, okay?"
"What's the point of you two coming with her?!" the gangster laughed, pulling out a gun from his waist and pointing it directly at Hou Guoyu's head, "Come on, tell me, what's the point of you two going up?"
Hou Guoyu frowned, clenching his right fist slowly.
At the entrance, Lao Hei glanced at the two punks, already considering a hundred ways to draw his gun.
"Wait here, understand?!" the gangster tapped Hou Guoyu's forehead with the gun, saying in a hoarse voice, "I'll take her up!"
Hou Guoyu tilted his head slightly, staring at the other person's armpit, slowly raising his right arm.
"Snap!"
Just then, A-Hua suddenly grabbed Hou Guoyu's arm.
"What's wrong, Sis?" Hou Guoyu turned to look at her.
"I'll go with them!" A-Hua said calmly, "You guys just wait here! I'm just a woman, and I'm not pretty. They won't make things difficult for me!"
Hou Guoyu looked at her with a frown, his eyes filled with anxiety.
Su Tianyu had clearly instructed them before they came that A-Hua couldn't leave their sight, but now this woman was acting unexpectedly.
"It's okay, I'll go up with them. I just need to know if Lao Fei is dead or alive!" A-Hua grabbed Hou Guoyu's wrist, unconsciously increasing the strength of her grip.
Hou Guoyu instantly understood A-Hua's meaning. The other party was telling him that these two were clearly just errand boys, not the leaders. If they acted now, the leaders would definitely be alerted, and then they'd have wasted their time.
Hou Guoyu looked at A-Hua's eyes, hesitating.
"Listen to me, I'll go up with them. It'll be fine!" A-Hua insisted.
Hou Guoyu turned to look at Lao Hei, as if seeking his opinion.
...
Outside a business school in Hua Mansion, a group of students who had finished their evening classes walked out in small groups.
Su Tiannan sat in the car, carefully scanning each person, finally focusing on a young man.
"Clack!"
After thinking for a long time, Su Tiannan cocked his gun and got out of the car.
Ten seconds later, Su Tiannan came to the young man with a smile, putting his arm around his neck, "Hey, Zhang Wen, right? I'm a friend of your sister's...!"
"I don't know you!"
"Bang!" Su Tiannan pulled out his gun and pressed it against the other person's waist, "Do you know me now? Don't move...!"
