Chapter 95: No Mercy 3
The Angel vanished and reappeared in the forest near the border between Vasthraal City and Sky Lord City. When he arrived there, his eyes narrowed. He had already drawn his weapon, ready to fight, but suddenly, something tapped him on the shoulder.
At that moment, the Angel simply nodded.
"I will return, my lord."
After that, he disappeared and left the place. This time, he truly departed from that world.

Lyrith continued channeling her magic energy into Alvaric’s body. At first, she felt no difference within him, but the more of her energy flowed inside, the clearer it became that Alvaric was not afflicted by a curse.
He was only wounded—but not by an ordinary wound. This injury was like poison, steadily corroding his internal organs. If Alvaric had not possessed regenerative abilities, he would have died mere minutes after the wound began tearing at his insides.
"He pushed himself far too much."
Lyrith could heal Alvaric, but it would require an enormous amount of magic energy and time. She focused herself completely. No matter what, she would do it for Alvaric. She felt she had to. But in the middle of it all, Lyrith suddenly sensed a familiar presence outside the dungeon.
She glanced sideways. She could feel that the being who appeared was about to attack her.
"This is bad. I need to finish before he—"
Before she could finish her words, that being vanished without a trace. Lyrith was confused, but at the same time relieved, and focused again on healing Alvaric.
Several times, Lyrith nearly collapsed from exhaustion. Velka and Marie wanted to help, but Ramiel shook his head.
"Let her be! She’s trying to heal Alvaric," Ramiel said.
Marie narrowed her eyes. Ever since she had seen Ramiel, she felt suspicious of him. Velka, however, seemed to trust him, so Marie tried to set aside her doubts.
She turned her gaze back toward Alvaric and Lyrith.
"Look!" Velka exclaimed, pointing at Alvaric’s face.
Slowly, Alvaric’s face regained color. Blood began circulating through his skin, and the previous pallor faded bit by bit.
Marie let out a sigh of relief. "Thank goodness."
But seeing Lyrith’s weary state made her worried. Even though she once hated Lyrith—for being the creature who had slaughtered her comrades when they first entered this world—
Now, after spending days together, Lyrith had treated them with kindness.
And now, Lyrith was even helping to heal Alvaric. That alone made Marie’s trust in her grow, even though the pain in her heart still lingered. The memory of her soldiers’ screams as they were butchered mercilessly still haunted her.
Whenever she recalled it, Marie felt sick to her stomach. That moment was horrifying—a one-sided massacre. Exactly like what Lyrith had just done earlier to the demi-humans.
"Will she be alright?" Velka asked.
She was referring to Lyrith. Her face grew paler with each passing moment. Her hands trembled.
Velka did not know Lyrith well, but Alvaric had once spoken of her briefly.
"Let’s hope she’ll be fine," Marie replied.
She clenched her hands together and prayed to the god of her faith. Marie closed her eyes with devotion.

Moments later, she opened her eyes, and indeed, Lyrith had already lifted her hand from Alvaric’s chest. She gave a faint smile toward Velka and Marie.
"He should be fine now," Lyrith said.
Velka and Marie turned to Alvaric. His body looked brighter than before, no longer pale. Relief washed over them.
Seeing the smiles on Marie’s and Velka’s faces made Lyrith happy.
She stood up, but when she tried to walk, her steps staggered. She nearly fell several times. She tried to make her way toward Serya, who was still lying unconscious. Yet suddenly, her head felt heavy. The world around her spun, her body lost balance.
"Ah, I must be reaching my limit," she muttered.
"Lyrith!" Velka cried out in alarm.
Lyrith could no longer hold on and finally collapsed, unconscious.
But before her body could hit the dungeon floor, Marie quickly caught her. Lyrith’s body felt cold and weightless, as though she had nearly expended all her energy. Her breathing was ragged, her face pale.
Marie carefully laid her down.
"Rest. You’ve done more than enough. Thank you for saving Alvaric."
Her hands trembled slightly as she closed Lyrith’s eyes, now unconscious. She could still feel the faint pulse at Lyrith’s wrist, and that was enough to reassure her—she was still alive.
Velka stood beside them. "She really sacrificed everything for Alvaric..." she whispered. There was a rare tone of respect in her voice.
"What is her relationship with Alvaric?" Velka asked.
Marie shook her head. "I don’t know, but one thing is clear—Alvaric is precious to her. Whatever it is, their bond must be special."
Velka nodded slowly, gazing at Lyrith’s serene face as she lay unconscious. Her heart was a swirl of emotions—relieved, yet anxious.
As for Marie, the old hatred still lingered in her heart. But seeing Lyrith willing to risk herself just to save Alvaric made her start, little by little, to trust her.
"I hope she’ll be alright," Marie said softly.
Ramiel stood a bit farther away, arms crossed. His eyes were filled with confusion. Whether he was truly worried or merely waiting for something, no one could tell. But it was clear he was observing carefully, as if weighing everyone’s reactions.
Ramiel remained silent most of the time. He simply did not want his words to drag him into serious trouble.
"I must watch my tongue."

Now, three of them lay unconscious—Alvaric, Serya, and Lyrith. This was a golden opportunity for Ramiel to kill them.
He was stronger than Velka, but... he had no idea how powerful Marie really was. From the beginning, she had not fought at all.
Ramiel stayed silent, still debating the decision he should make.
"If not now, there may never be another chance," he told himself.
He closed his eyes, inhaled deeply, and exhaled slowly. He repeated it three times. Yet still, he could not bring himself to decide.
Until at last, Marie glanced toward him.
"You want to kill us?" she asked.
Ramiel was shocked by her words. He immediately waved his hand. "That’s not true."
Marie nodded. "Good. Because if you try, it won’t succeed. We are not alone here."
Ramiel furrowed his brows. "What do you mean?"
"Focus," Marie replied.
He frowned but tried to do as she said. Closing his eyes, he concentrated—and at once, his eyes snapped open.
"There are other beings in this room," he said. Looking around, he saw nothing visible. "There are five of them."
Marie gave a small smile. "They are Alvaric’s children. If you attempt to harm him, they will not stay still."
Ramiel’s eyes widened. "Children?"
