Chapter 7: Guests Arrive

But at this moment, there was still an unconscious assassin in his bedroom, so there was no time to ask anything. He spoke directly, "Someone came to kill me. I knocked him unconscious, and he's lying on the floor."

The blind youth tilted his head slightly, a flicker of thought in his mind, but his face remained expressionless. He bowed his head slightly, "Young Master Fan is saying nonsense?"

"No time to play coy here. You have to take care of me." Fan Xian chuckled, thinking, 'What time is it, and you're still pretending not to know me?' Without caring too much, he grabbed the blind youth's hand and started walking towards the other residence.

"Young Master is still saying nonsense."

The blind youth frowned slightly, seemingly puzzled as to why this child seemed to know his identity—back when he sent the infant Fan Xian to Danzhou, Fan Xian was only a few months old and shouldn't have any memory. Could it be that the old madam in the Earl's manor told him his identity?

The night was already deep, and the distant sound of dogs barking mournfully carried through the air, as someone's master had gotten up in the middle of the night and mistakenly entered the wrong room.

The blind youth, Wu Zhu, wore a cold expression. He turned his body to listen to Fan Xian speak and finally acted, closing the door of the general store and heading towards the Earl's manor. Fan Xian breathed a sigh of relief, hurrying to keep up with small steps.

Arriving outside the Earl's manor, the two of them crawled back through the dog hole and stood in the bedroom, "looking" at the assassin who was still unconscious on the floor.

Fan Xian looked at the person on the ground, unsure if he was dead or alive, and felt a little nervous. He turned to ask, "Uncle Wu Zhu, why have you been staying in the general store all these years, afraid to acknowledge me?"

The blind youth called Wu Zhu tilted his head again, and after a long while, he said, "Little Master, you really surprise me."

He was indeed a little surprised. Although he knew that since this child was the Miss's child, he would have some unique qualities, Wu Zhu hadn't expected that at the age of four, he would seem so mature, and even be able to... plot against Master Fei who came from the capital.

"Let's deal with this person first." Fan Xian struggled to turn the assassin over, removed his mask, revealing the assassin's true face.

The assassin's face was gaunt, and he was already quite old. The beard on his chin was starting to turn white, but for some reason, there were also some eerie green strands mixed in, making it look somewhat disgusting.

Fan Xian was startled, jumped behind Uncle Wu Zhu, grabbed his sleeve, and whined with a pained expression, "Uncle, this assassin doesn't look good."

"This is Master Fei from the Third Bureau of the Overwatch Council." Wu Zhu slowly squatted down, touched the assassin's chin, "One of the three most renowned poison experts in the world, proficient in using poison, identifying poison, and detoxifying. Such a powerful figure was actually taken down by you with a porcelain pillow. I don't know if you're just lucky, or if he's just unlucky."

"It's his bad luck." Fan Xian thought to himself. Although he was surprised by the great name of the person on the ground, when he thought that the other party had met a monster like him, seemingly an infant but actually a demon from two lifetimes, the other party's luck was indeed not good.

"Don't touch him with your hands, what if he has poison on him?" Fan Xian reminded the blind youth, Wu Zhu.

Wu Zhu didn't stop moving, nor did he explain anything, but that stubbornness made Fan Xian feel that the other party was indicating to him that there was no poison in this world that could poison him.

Fan Xian squeezed his eyebrows and asked with a pained expression, "Uncle, what do we do with this person?"

He wasn't naturally friendly, but in this world, the blind youth in front of him was the first person he knew, and the only person he dared to trust completely. Moreover, he knew that the other party was a very powerful expert, so he deliberately acted a little cuter and more respectful, constantly calling him "Uncle."

His eyes wandered around, and finally landed on the knife. He bit his teeth and thought that he might as well stab Master Fei to death.

Sensing his actions, Wu Zhu stood up and shook his head, "Your temperament is too different from the Miss's. So young, yet so ruthless. I don't know who taught you."

"I learned it myself." Fan Xian didn't dare offend this expert he dared to trust. He said very respectfully, "Nephew knows that Uncle has been guarding Nephew in the general store, and also knows that Uncle is afraid that Mother's enemies will find me because of Uncle's presence, so he didn't stay in the Earl's manor. So Nephew has to be a little ruthless himself."

Wu Zhu shook his head again, without saying anything.

Fan Xian knew that his mother's skilled servant was starting to suspect him. He asked with a chuckle, "Uncle, what do we do next?"

His meaning was clear: killing people was better left to Uncle Wu Zhu.

Unexpectedly, Wu Zhu said calmly, "Young Master, you hit the wrong person."

"Ah? Hit the wrong person?" Fan Xian was immediately dumbfounded, slowly lowering his head to look at the assassin on the ground with blood all over his face.

"But since you've already hit him, there's no need to think too much." Wu Zhu said quietly, "Master Fei is the Chief of the Third Bureau of the Overwatch Council. His hidden identity... to be precise, he's your father's subordinate's subordinate. So his coming to Danzhou this time shouldn't be to kill you. If he really came to kill you, then I believe that no matter how capable Young Master is, you would have died countless times already."

Only then did Fan Xian realize that the assassin on the ground seemed to have said earlier that his father had sent him, but...

...

...

"Damn, looking like t-BAg, who would believe this old pervert."

————————————————————————

Fei Jie had been staying in the Investigative Institute of the Overwatch Council in Kyoto all these years. He was an old man in his fifties, and although he had some reputations such as being a master of poison, he was generally in a semi-retired state. This time, if it weren't for a powerful person asking him to come to Danzhou to teach, and he didn't have the courage to refuse, he would never have left Kyoto.

But unexpectedly, the first time he saw his student, he was hit with two big bumps, shed half a bowl of blood, and almost lost his old life.

He looked at the little boy in front of him and found that he was full of innocence and cuteness. His big eyes were flickering, mixed with a trace of fear and shame. Such a cute little face, coupled with the identity of the little boy, made him unable to vent his anger.

Turning his head to see a servant-like guy, he prepared to vent his anger on the other party: "Hey! Hurry up and untie me! I am Teacher Fei, hired by the Earl at a high price."

Who knew that the servant seemed to be even more arrogant than him, ignoring him at all and saying coldly: "The agreement between me and your superior doesn't seem to have the link of you coming to be a teacher."

"Master Wu?" Fei Jie widened his somewhat turbid eyes, mixed with brown residual poison, and saw the servant's appearance clearly, getting a big shock: "Master Wu, it's you."

Hearing that the assassin woke up and claimed to be Fei Jie, Fan Xian felt that this matter was indeed very perplexing.
