Chapter 1662: Chapter 1662: The Fatal Blow of the Terrifying Phantom
The middle-aged man’s expression changed, his gaze angry.
The anger was not because Carson Flores had suddenly appeared to ambush him, but because he had actually believed Carson’s performance!
Carson’s betrayal, Evan Foster swore angrily!
The two of them were acting to distract him, yet he had been fooled!
The Black Dragon Wave roared out instantly, engulfing the silhouette of the middle-aged man within it.
The middle-aged man had previously fought Carson Flores, knowing he possessed such a method, and while it was powerful, against someone of his strength, it was a threat but not a major one!
The middle-aged man raised his hand, striking forward with a single palm.
Vast Spiritual Energy surged out, instantly forming a blade-like sharpness in front, this sharpness forcibly cleaving apart the Black Dragon Wave ahead, much like a rock in a river dividing the tumultuous waters, while he remained unmoved.
Carson Flores had anticipated this, showing no surprise at all.
After unleashing the Black Dragon Wave, a large amount of Spiritual Energy frantically poured into the copper fragment.
The runes on the copper fragment lit up one by one, and a grand, vast, and ancient aura emerged on the fragment.
One breath!
The lines on the fragment lit up a third, the aura mystical and distant.
The middle-aged man, splitting the Black Dragon Wave, was surrounded by the roaring and surging Spiritual Energy of the Black Dragon’s breath, which interfered so much that he couldn’t detect the rising aura from the copper fragment at all.
Two breaths.
The lines on the fragment lit up two-thirds, the aura growing grand and stirring, as if some powerful deity was being nurtured, about to be born.
Though it hadn’t appeared, the terrifying pressure silently and invisibly engulfed the surroundings.
The middle-aged man sensed something unusual, a slight unease welling within.
Amidst the surging attack of the Black Dragon Wave, he did his best to sense the source of the uneasy aura amidst the fluctuation.
Three breaths.
The lines on the copper fragment were fully lit, radiating a fierce white light, a phantom emerging from it. It was a demonic beast Carson Flores had never seen, somewhat resembling a snake, but with many heads, its terrifying aura becoming almost tangible, covering hundreds of miles around.
Countless beasts whimpered, crouching on the ground, not daring to move, countless birds plummeting from the sky and trees.
The attack of the Black Dragon Wave was nearing its end, the surging Spiritual Energy fluctuation weakened, allowing the middle-aged man to finally accurately sense the source of the terrifying feeling.
It was a copper fragment!
On it rested the phantom of a beast, with all the terrifying pressure emanating from this beast’s shadow!
It was merely a shadow, appearing extremely vague and hard to discern, yet the middle-aged man felt his heart as if gripped by someone, the next second as if about to be crushed.
As he stared straight at the copper fragment and undistinguished beast shadow, Carson Flores had already completed the activation.
The copper fragment suddenly shattered open, the beast’s shadow breaking free from its constraints, pouncing towards the middle-aged man with speed as swift as a black flash.
The middle-aged man’s whole heart sank into boundless fear, unaware of the origin of this being, yet with an intuition that if attacked by this beast, he absolutely wouldn’t withstand it!
He would die!
Ignoring the attack of the Black Dragon Wave, he fiercely retreated sideways, the mighty spiritual energy of the wave striking his body like blades, continuously causing blood to spray from him.
The middle-aged man poured all his Spiritual Energy into his feet, desperately fleeing towards the distance, trying to escape from the shadow descending like a grim reaper.
The shadow was terrifyingly fast, reaching his side even before he could completely dodge, several heads biting towards him simultaneously.
Moving in terror, he swiftly dodged, yet couldn’t evade the shadow’s attack.
One head bit onto his arm, tearing it like paper into a cloud of blood mist instantly.
The second head clamped onto the right side of his body, directly blasting away half of it, vanishing.
The third head bit onto one of his legs, his right leg bursting into blood foam.
The middle-aged man’s eyes widened in horror, unable to even feel the pain of his body, instinctively moving fast, with only one thought in mind.
Get away from the shadow!
Entangled with the shadow, they swiftly traversed a hundred meters, electric and fierce, the heads of the beast again lunging for his own.
The middle-aged man’s eyes filled with despair, yet the beastly figure before him suddenly dimmed.
It bit onto his head, along with his remaining half body, however, this time his head and body didn’t explode into powder as before.
The flesh on his head dissolved, exposing multiple snow-white bones. His body was likewise, half a skeleton, resembling a human-shaped skull.
However, at that moment, the shadow began to slowly dissipate.
The middle-aged man floated in mid-air, stunned for a moment, feeling the piercing pain throughout his body, looking at his ghost-like appearance, and suddenly let out a tragic scream, as if crying, yet as if laughing.
"I survived, haha, I’m going to kill you, today you must die, even the King of Heaven can’t stop it!"
