Capítulo 1804: Chapter 1804: Meeting Callie Matthews? Time to Take a Gamble!
Carson Flores was shocked.
How could there be such a turn of events?
Wasn’t it possible to quietly wait until nightfall?
The two servants over there were also nearly frightened to tears by Robin Matthews’ words, don’t you know that standing in front of you are a group of Heavenly Immortals?
Young Master, although you’re impressive, if any of them makes a move, you’d be gone.
Servant A quickly spoke up: “Young Master, Second Young Master instructed me to watch over these people carefully until he returns to handle them himself.”
Robin Matthews smiled and said, “I’ll explain to him about this later. Besides, I’m just borrowing a few people for a while. I’ll return them to him later.”
Carson Flores was internally debating whether to turn hostile now. If he acted now, he could take down Robin Matthews too, securing a valuable hostage, but once he took action, it would undoubtedly alert everyone, turning the infiltration plan into a direct assault plan.
Even though things were already much better than before, Carson still hoped for a higher success rate.
Only success is acceptable, failure is not an option!
Otherwise, sneaking into the Puddington Tribe to attack the Azure Dragon Clan Leader’s granddaughter couldn’t be explained, and rescuing Elijah White would be even harder.
Carson Flores feigned fear, taking a step back: “Where are you taking me?”
Robin Matthews sneered, “You’re now captives of our Puddington Tribe. Know your place, don’t court death. To us, your lives aren’t important; we can dispose of you anytime!”
After a pause, Robin Matthews’ tone softened slightly, “There is a noble who wants to chat about the outside world with the Human Race. You look quite pleasing, so you’ve been chosen. This is an opportunity for you; perform well, and you’ll benefit from it.”
A noble?
Carson Flores was taken aback internally; could it be such a coincidence?
Who else could be referred to with such respect by Robin Matthews other than Callie Matthews, who had just recently arrived at the Puddington Tribe?
Was he going to be taken to see her?
Carson Flores asked cautiously, “You should have a lot of human slaves here, why me?”
Robin Matthews impatiently replied, “Because the previous ones have been here too long. They’re either broken or so numb they’re half-broken. You’ve just arrived, and you still look decent, so you were chosen.”
“Alright, my patience is limited. If you ask again, I won’t mind killing you and finding another one.”
Carson Flores nodded in fear, not saying another word, but internally he decided to meet this Callie Matthews.
Carson was now pretending to be a cripple with his Sea of Consciousness sealed off. Who would be on guard against someone incapable of using Spiritual Energy?
Carson had always been bold. Since there was now a chance to get close to Callie, he wouldn’t give it up.
Carson turned his head and exchanged a glance with Rhys Fox, instantly understanding Carson’s plan. The breath he had been holding relaxed.
Since Carson wants to venture into the lion’s den, we should hold off taking action.
The sky hasn’t even darkened yet.
The two servants watched this scene with unease but were powerless.
Fortunately, they didn’t start fighting immediately. Otherwise, regardless of the outcome, they would be dead for sure.
Carson followed Robin Matthews, leaving the General’s Mansion, heading towards the inner-most hall.
At the entrance of the hall stood a burly man with a square face. Seeing Robin Matthews, he immediately smiled.
“Hanshan, is this the person you found?”
Robin Matthews smiled, “Yes, my brother just caught a batch of captives. I saw him and brought him over.”
The burly man nodded, “Alright, I’ll take him there.”
Robin Matthews smiled, “Aden, how are things going? Any hope?”
Aden?
With his head lowered standing behind Robin, Carson instantly realized the man’s identity—it was Eliel Matthews’ second son, Aden Matthews.
According to Eliel Matthews, Aden fell in love with Callie at first sight and even wanted his father to propose marriage for him. Judging by Robin’s words, it seemed he hadn’t succeeded yet and was still in pursuit?
Aden gave a wry smile, “She doesn’t want to see me. I heard she wanted to chat about the outside world with the human race, so I found someone, hoping it would give me a reason to see her.”
Robin sighed, “I hear she’s quite the temperamental one.”
Aden smiled, “The Clan Leader’s beloved granddaughter has been pampered since childhood. It’s normal for her to be a bit temperamental.”
Seeing Aden’s lovestruck demeanor, Robin said nothing more, only nodding in encouragement, “Alright, keep at it. If you succeed, it’ll be a great boon for our Puddington Tribe.”
Aden’s eyes glimmered with determination. “Yes, if I can marry her, my influence in the tribe will greatly increase.”
After a pause, Aden added, “Of course, I genuinely like her. It was love at first sight. No matter what, I have to try, or I’d regret it. Don’t you think?”
Robin encouraged him, “You’re excellent; you definitely have a chance. She might not have thought much about marriage yet because she’s young, but once she’s familiar, things may change…”
