Chapter 1794: Chapter 1794: The Exploding Underground City
Carson Flores saw Emerson Gross and others in the Palace of Seven Beauties, but he couldn’t hear what they were saying.
After Emerson and the others returned underground, Carson didn’t rush to leave either.
He was safe.
He wanted to see if there were any more clues to follow.
The entire event erupted too suddenly.
He just wanted to learn the Soul Separation Technique, if they wouldn’t agree, they wouldn’t agree. Why suddenly resort to murder?
It wasn’t necessary.
They had previously agreed to it nicely, why did they suddenly turn against him so ruthlessly?
Mr. Simmons!
Clearly, it was this Mr. Simmons who caused their dramatic change in attitude.
Sect leaders?
Doesn’t seem like it.
If they were all from the Spirit-Separation Sect, they should address each other with titles like senior brother, junior uncle, or something similar. Why address Mr. Simmons so formally and distantly?
Could he be a special presence like a Guest Elder of the sect?
Or was he simply an outsider?
Carson fell into deep thought.
If Mr. Simmons was a Guest Elder, his stance should align with the Spirit-Separation Sect, and the decisions made should be for the benefit of the sect, which would be why the sect leadership supports his opinion.
Does killing me serve the sect’s interests?
Seems unlikely, right?
I simply found the Spirit-Separation Sect’s location and with an identity of an Immortal Palace Envoy, killing me just to cover the sect’s location is too extreme.
If such actions fail, it could spell doom for the entire Spirit-Separation Sect, the stakes are too high.
It shouldn’t be this way!
Then if Mr. Simmons is an outsider, why would the Spirit-Separation Sect listen to an outsider’s demand to kill me and offend the Celestial Palace?
Carson’s eyes suddenly widened.
Opposing the Celestial Palace?
The Heavenly Alliance???
If Mr. Simmons is from the Heavenly Alliance, tasked with liaising with the Spirit-Separation Sect, and upon learning of this incident, he demanded the sect execute me as a token for their cooperation?
Wasn’t the Hall Master of Demon Fiend Hall behaving similarly before? Even upon hearing that we were Immortal Palace Envoys, he contemplated killing me?
Isn’t this scenario very familiar?
Carson’s expression turned grave, if that’s truly the case, it indicates the Spirit-Separation Sect has firmly allied with the Heavenly Alliance, then how could I possibly seek their help to assist my father with soul separation?
Of course, there’s another possibility — bringing forces to level the sect, capturing the sect leaders, and for their survival, wouldn’t they be compelled to help me?
Once obtaining the Soul Separation Technique, I too can cultivate it!
Carson decided internally that after understanding the situation here, he would inform the Celestial Palace and request assistance.
Striking against the Spirit-Separation Sect, and following the lead to confront the Heavenly Alliance isn’t merely a personal affair.
Carson prepared to observe further.
After waiting for about two hours, Elian Eaton appeared once more, and accompanying him was the very Mr. Simmons, who wore a hood and was taken aboard the Flying Boat by Elian, heading northward.
A hood?
Carson briefly thought and immediately understood the reason; this was the Spirit-Separation Sect not wanting Mr. Simmons to know their exact location.
Mr. Simmons is not part of the Spirit-Separation Sect!
Then there’s only one possibility left, Mr. Simmons is a member of the Heavenly Alliance!
Carson really wanted to follow and see where Mr. Simmons would end up, but he didn’t dare.
Both Mr. Simmons and Elian Eaton possess Heavenly Immortal strength, pursuing them would be like courting death.
Carson waited for half a day, suddenly noticing a large number of cultivators pouring out, in groups of a thousand or more, and after preparing, they all headed east, soon leaving entirely.
Carson was shocked beyond measure, what was going on?
So many people leaving the sect all at once, what was the Spirit-Separation Sect planning?
Carson continued to wait.
About half a day later, a sudden loud and muffled noise erupted from deep within the previously calm Sand Sea.
Carson was taken aback, wasn’t this the location of the Spirit-Separation Sect’s Underground City?
What happened inside the Spirit-Separation Sect?
The once-tranquil Sand Sea suddenly caved in, forming a huge subterranean gap, a massive amount of yellow sand poured into this sunken hole, quickly causing the sand dunes to collapse and fill the gigantic pit.
Several figures shot up from the Sand Sea, led by none other than the Sect Master, Emerson Gross.
Emerson’s expression was cold and he struck the nearby sand dune once more with his palm.
The dune exploded violently, yellow sand flew everywhere, and upon settling, it covered all traces of the collapse, restoring everything to the appearance of the Sand Sea, with no sign of anything unusual.
"Go!"
Emerson and the others departed into the distance, leaving the whole Sand Sea quiet once more.
Watching this scene, Carson felt a chill run down his spine.
Was that massive explosion just now the Underground City of the Spirit-Separation Sect blowing up?
Carson had stayed within the Underground City for about ten days, generally understanding the life of its inhabitants.
The entire Underground City housed at least tens of thousands, but only two to three thousand left as I saw earlier, right?
Did Emerson and the others conspire to massacre the remaining people together?
