Chapter 1793: Chapter 1793: The Rest? Kill Them All!
Where is Carson Flores?
Palace of Seven Beauties.
Where is the Palace of Seven Beauties?
In the desert, beneath the yellow sands, like a lifeless and unremarkable stone, it attracts no one’s attention.
Carson Flores tracked down the place earlier and, considering he might enter the mysterious Spirit-Separation Sect, for safety reasons, he casually tossed the Palace of Seven Beauties into a nearby dune.
The dune wasn’t far from the Spirit-Separation Sect, just about ten miles away.
After escaping the great hall, Carson Flores first threw an exploding talisman towards the testing center, then tossed another to the other side. Amid the immense chaos, he quickly reached that secluded corner he had investigated well in advance.
The Sect’s formations were formidable. Even though Carson Flores had the token of the Palace of Seven Beauties, he found he couldn’t sense it, thus unable to open the light gate.
Carson Flores struck a weak spot in the formation’s defense, tearing open a hole in it instantly.
In that moment, the Palace of Seven Beauties sensed it.
Carson Flores opened the teleportation gate and simultaneously channeled spiritual energy, preventing the formation’s hole from closing.
The light gate opened, and Carson Flores waited silently for a few seconds until he heard footsteps.
Before the footsteps arrived, Carson Flores stepped into the light gate and vanished from the spot.
Without the spiritual energy support, the formation rapidly restored itself, and the light gate instantly retracted into a speck of light, disappearing from sight.
A disciple of the Spirit-Separation Sect appeared ahead, confusedly walked over, cautiously inspected for a while, but found nothing unusual and then turned away.
Carson Flores didn’t rush to leave but stayed quietly inside the Palace of Seven Beauties, observing the movement outside.
Below ground.
Emerson Gross’s face was livid, eyes filled with anger, his jaw clenched tightly. Mr. Simmons also wore a serious expression.
"Found him?"
"Not found. We’ve organized personnel and combed through every area using a dragnet approach. We’ve checked every building and room, but there’s no trace of him."
Emerson Gross was furious: "He’s such a big person. Could he vanish into thin air?"
After a pause, Emerson Gross frowned: "Could he be invisible? Invisibility combined with concealing his aura?"
Cultivators have many methods, and concealing one’s aura is basic. But there are varying skills; some can completely mask their vitality, turning themselves into a stone, while others can only slightly conceal their aura, exposed once divine sense sweeps over them.
Invisibility is a spell, not particularly difficult, but it merely tricks your eyes from an optical standpoint. It doesn’t mean a person actually vanishes; divine sense can see through any invisibility spell.
But if invisibility is combined with peak aura concealment, the two together become a perfect hiding tool.
"Bring me my magical treasure. Check again closely."
Emerson Gross handed a magical treasure, specifically used to break through invisibility, to his subordinates, instructing them to search again.
After waiting for a long time, the result was still the same.
The entire Underground City was nearly turned upside down, without any trace of Carson Flores!
He was like a gust of wind, melding into the air, vanished without a trace.
Elian Eaton frowned: "Could he have a special magical treasure that allowed him to escape directly?"
In the Immortal Realm, magical treasures are diverse, and no one dares to claim their treasures can achieve an absolute effect because someone else’s treasure might be better.
The Spirit-Separation Sect’s formation is indeed powerful, but no one can say there’s no treasure in the world that can allow an escape.
Carson Flores is an Immortal Palace Envoy. Having some special magical treasures isn’t incomprehensible.
"In hindsight, we should have activated the great hall formations, or captured him immediately upon entry..."
"Yes, but who knew he’d react so fast? Before Mr. Simmons finished speaking, he attacked with such ferocity."
"This guy is too cautious, too careful. This suggests he truly had ulterior motives, coming with the intent to probe. Otherwise, why would he react so swiftly?"
Everyone discussed, their expressions full of anxiety.
Emerson Gross’s expression turned stern: "Since he’s not inside, let’s look outside for any trace."
Emerson Gross led the team, taking several people to the surface.
The desert was vast, with no movement at all.
"Checked the surrounding monitoring arrays, but there’s no sign of anyone."
Emerson Gross exhaled, a grim look on his face.
At this point, Carson Flores had completely escaped.
If he’s still hiding here in some special way, concealed within the Underground City, that’s fine. With time, he’d eventually reveal a flaw. But if he’s already fled, then it’s troublesome.
Even if he doesn’t know Mr. Simmons is from the Heavenly Alliance, merely having the Spirit-Separation Sect ambush an Immortal Palace Envoy is crime enough.
What awaits the Spirit-Separation Sect now?
The Celestial Palace’s Heavenly Immortal squad?
Elian Eaton asked gravely: "What now? Activate the Wild Wind Formation, change the surrounding terrain, and hide ourselves?"
Emerson Gross shook his head: "It’s not reliable. What if he made some mark before leaving? The Wild Wind Formation can’t dispel that."
Elian Eaton’s face turned hard: "Then what do we do?"
Emerson Gross’s expression was decisive: "Relocate. Move the Sect’s main disciples to the backup Underground City."
Elian Eaton’s eyes widened: "And the rest?"
There was a ruthless glint in Emerson Gross’s eyes: "Their numbers have become a liability for the Sect. We seize this opportunity to kill them all, pin the blame on the Celestial Palace, and join forces with the Heavenly Alliance!"
