Chapter 536

Anton thought of the fact that he was resting inside the dungeon instead of renting a room in the hotel outside. Even if it was costly since it catered to high-level adventurers, the price was negligible for him. He felt that his behavior was a little psychotic.

The fact was, he liked the idea of just continuing his goal of killing the dungeon monsters immediately once he was done with his breakfast and not wasting time. If he were tired of the dungeon, then he would return home to rest. His tiny house was also comfortable because he made sure that the bed inside would provide him with a good sleep. The Pearl of the Ocean, which was the gift that he received from the blue whales and the pink dolphins, ensured that he would truly have a restful sleep. It also helped that the enchanted items that were able to create were focused on making people comfortable, and he was personally benefiting from that.

Regardless of any type of setting, whether the temperature inside the dungeon was extremely cold or extremely hot, any dwelling that he created would be comfortable inside because of his items.

Since it was nighttime when he arrived at the dungeon portal, there was no queue, so Anton was able to enter immediately. Once he was inside, he set up his tiny house, ate a sumptuous dinner, took a nice, long, hot bath, and after that started resting on his bed. Of course, before he slept, he wasted a couple of hours browsing the internet.

When he woke up the next day, Anton proceeded to do what he was doing on what he considered the “easy” floor and concentrated on leveling up his ladder Amazon character at the same time.

By the end of the day, his Amazon character leveled up to level 85. Anton was still 14 levels away from the maximum level, and that would take him two more days of focused leveling. He thought of staying for two more days, but he decided to return home. By the time he went back to the Rose Manor tomorrow, it would already be the fourth day. He didn’t want to miss any letters from his family in case they arrived, and since the manor wasn’t that settled yet, he didn’t want to be absent for too long.

Besides, he could stay for just a day and return to the dungeon for a second round of doing the easy floor so he could gather more coins. He truly wanted to have a treasure room filled with gold coins to present to his father and sister, and the new relatives.

The medium-level mana stones that his summons managed to gather on the floor were 57, and the high-level mana stones were 6. Once he sold off the medium mana stones, the coins in his bank card would increase to around 225,000 gold coins. He stored everything in his inventory, including the magic items that his summons managed to acquire from the floor, and prepared to rest.

The next day, he went out of the dungeon and headed directly to the Adventurers Guild branch and sold off his medium-level mana stones. When the guild employee asked if he wanted a new key, Anton declined and told the man that he would rest first.

When Anton arrived at the main city after a few hours of flying, he headed to the store that sold him his tiny house. When the carpenter who made the tiny house saw him, the middle-aged man enthusiastically greeted him.

It appeared that the tiny house business was lucrative. Some of the rich wizards commissioned the house since they had the means to store those in their spatial items and take them out while traveling.

“That’s good, then. At least my idea was allowing you to earn a lot of coins. Actually, I’m here to ask if you have coin chests that I can purchase?” Anton asked the carpenter.

“We do have them, and you’re in luck since you don’t have to wait. We have chest ready-made already, and you can choose the size and material,” The carpenter said.

The carpenter brought him to his warehouse, where the chests were located, and Anton purchased three medium-sized chests. After that, Anton went to one of the bigger Adventurers Guild branches in the city, since he planned to withdraw 200,000 gold coins from his card to put in the chests.

In the Adventurer Guild branch, one of the higher-ups asked the reason why he wanted to liquidate his assets. He candidly told the man that he wanted to put the coins in the chest that he had purchased to put it into his treasure room in his new manor for display purposes. The man shook his head, and during the next hour, they were busy filling Anton’s chests with gold coins.

Unfortunately, for Anton, the 200,000 gold coins only filled two of his chests. He did choose a medium-sized chest, but the amount of gold coins wasn’t enough to fill up all three of them. Anton felt that the gold coin amount was still too little, which would only make his treasure room look sad. He decided he would return to the dungeon to gather more coins. Anton knew that it was a vanity project, but he couldn’t help himself.

Once he had the chest of coins stored in his inventory, Anton went to the Mage Guild. He wanted to purchase a defensive array for the treasure room. When he arrived at one of the Mage Guild’s branches, which was the branch that he went to send letters to his sister and his father, he went to one of the counters that had a mage receptionist and told the lady what he wanted.

The lady mage receptionist asked him to sit in one of the nearby chairs to wait while she went to the back to talk to someone. After a few minutes, a middle-aged mage met him and invited him to his office.

“Eiza told me of your requirements. It’s a common request, but I believe, Sir Anton, that you’re an archmage. You don’t have any defensive spells?” The middle-aged mage asked.

“I’m focused on offensive spells. What I need is some sort of permanent defensive rune or array that can be laid down in my treasure room to protect the items inside.”

“I understand. Do you want a lethal defensive array or just one that would incapacitate the would-be thieves?”

Anton was taken aback. He didn’t want to find dead people in front of his treasure room door. Besides, if he was being honest, the gold coins and even the magic items that he had with him were truly not that important to him.

“I prefer something non-lethal.”

“What about the people allowed to enter the room? Would you want something that could be actively assigned or something tied to a legacy or family bloodline?”

“Tied to the family bloodline, please, but can you include a couple of people that could be assigned?”

“Depending on how much you are willing to spend, we can do that. We have several different types of defenses available. I would suggest that you try our 100-year defensive array capable of putting up to 100 would-be robbers to sleep for an hour. The array can be tied to a family bloodline of up to 10 people and can be assigned to be opened by up to 2 outsiders. It only costs 20 high-level mana stones.”

Anton was startled at the cost, which was equivalent to the total gold coins that he had managed to collect during his most recent dungeon run.
