Chapter 542

Chapter 542

The next day, Anton spent the first half of the morning finishing all the pieces that he needed to enchant, and after he gave them all to Ms. Orwells to be arranged in the manor, he felt satisfied with a completed job. During lunch, he informed everyone that he would return to delving in the Corridors of Amuneta the next day and, as usual, would return after four or five days.

“Are the gardeners done planting flowers in the garden facing my window?” Anton suddenly asked Raymond Jenkins.

“Yes, but you would only see the results after a few months,” The butler replied.

It was a pity since it would have been nice to see flowers whenever he looked outside his window. Then Anton remembered that mana water tends to promote fast growth in plants. After lunch, Anton went outside the gardens and cast the Blizzard spells on all of the gardens, but of course, he manipulated the mana structure to convert the spell into a mild rain.

Mr. Jenkins and Ronia, who were following him, asked what spell he cast, and Anton told them that it was a special spell that promotes plant growth. He made sure that all the grounds in the manor were covered by the mana water, and it took a while. Anton enjoyed the process of casting the spell, though, so it was alright to waste his time doing it. He didn’t know when the magic of the mana water would take effect.

Since he had already completed his enchanting assignment, Anton spent the rest of the afternoon reading his web novel. It was a pleasure reading it while seated on his room balcony overlooking the gardens. Once in a while, he would pause his reading to cast the Blizzard spell that was converted into rain because the smell of the watered plants refreshed him.

The butler disturbed him, though, to report that some of the gardeners got wet from the mana rain and were worried that there were side effects with the spell. Anton laughed and admitted that there were side effects, but immediately alleviated Mr. Jenkins' concern that the side effects were to make the skin smoother and fairer, hair more luxurious, and cause aging to reverse if used daily for a while.

The butler gaped at what he said and left soon after. Anton didn’t stop casting the rain spell and continued while reading his novel, but he noticed that a lot of people were now gathered in the gardens to let the rainwater flow through their bodies. He just laughed when he saw that and let them be. He did tell the butler that it would only work if it was used daily for a long time.

When the sun had set, Anton joined everyone for dinner. While they were eating, he didn’t forget to tell everyone that the mana waters’ effect could only be seen if it was used daily for a long time.

“That is a good business opportunity! If it truly works, you can sell the mana water,” Ms. Orwells said.

“Unfortunately, the moment the mana water was produced by my spell, the magical effect would only last for a couple of hours. After that, the magic would dissipate, turning the mana water into regular water,” Anton told the decorator.

The next day, Anton left the manor early to go to the Corridors of Amuneta dungeon. He really wanted to earn a lot of gold coins to fill the treasure room with them to surprise his father, Anna, and his new relatives. Before he left, Mr. Jenkins and Ronia assured him that everything would be fine in the manor.

Anton wasn’t really worried since he would only be gone for three to four days. After a few hours, he arrived at the Corridors of Amuneta dungeon and asked for the dungeon key for the 30th floor. Since the Adventurer Guild staff had learned that Anton was amiable, the girl manning the receptionist desk asked why he returned to delving the upper floors. He admitted to the beautiful receptionist that he was doing the easy floors to earn gold coins. He would return to challenging himself once he was satisfied that he had earned enough to fill his manor’s treasure room with gold coins and treasure. The pretty lady suddenly gave Anton the infamous calf eyes.

Anton knew what it meant even though he wasn’t truly experienced when it came to the fairer sex. He had seen enough movies and television shows to infer the girl’s behavior. For a moment, he was sorely tempted to follow up on that chance with the girl, but he knew that he wasn’t ready for a complicated relationship. Any girl who was part of the Adventurer Guild needed to be respected, and he couldn’t just do a “wham bam thank you ma’am” to them. He knew that if he wanted to relieve his horniness, it would be best to acquire the services of professionals. Besides, his dwarven guards, Torbin and Torban, promised him that they would bring him to a high-class brothel for a good time.

He ignored the pretty receptionist's advances and headed directly to the dungeon. During the next four days, he spent each day completing the 20th floor. Anton’s summons kill the monsters and gather the mana stones while inside his small tent that was erected on top of the dire bear. He spent his time leveling up his ladder Amazon character. When he got tired of that, he would continue reading the web novel that he was currently addicted to. Once he got tired of reading, he would switch to watching a movie.

After four days of dungeon delving on the 30th floor of the Corridors of Amuneta dungeon, Anton earned a total of 220,000 gold coins that came from selling the medium-level mana stones that his summons acquired and 24 high-level mana stones.

Anton also reached his Amazon ladder maximum level and was informed by his Diablo II system that he could now choose to bring one item from the game to reality. His system also informed him that once he was done transferring his chosen item from the game, the seven ladder characters would automatically be deleted, and he could create a new round of characters for the ladder season.

The new round of characters would also provide him the 20 percent of the character’s primary stats and powerful items that he could transfer from the game to reality. Anton was glad that he could create the ladder characters up to three times per season. He knew that currently, it was the surest way for him to grow in power.

He decided to hold off on transferring the item since he was still in the process of choosing which item to transfer. Besides, he would rest for a few days before tackling the dungeon again, and during that time, he wouldn’t be leveling up any characters.

When he arrived at the main city, Anton purchased a single chest since he knew that the chest he had previously purchased could only fit 100,000 gold coins. With an empty chest in the treasure room, and together with the new one, he could store an additional 200,000 gold coins in the room. He didn’t forget to go to the Adventurer Guild to withdraw 200,000 gold coins from his bank card. The person who was handling the coin withdrawal asked him again about his purpose of liquifying his assets, and he reiterated that he wanted the gold coins in his treasure room for display purposes.

Anton arrived at the manor early on the fifth day after he left. Mr. Jenkins, Ronia, Torbin, and Felicity Orwells welcomed him back.
