Chapter 567
Anton thought of the fact that he was truly not doing any preparatory work whenever he entered the dungeon, even to the deeper floors that he already considered a challenge. The only preparation he had made was the one-time purchase of the tiny house that he used whenever he camped inside the dungeon floors or the tiny tent that he set on top of his Dire Bear.
Since his inventory had time stopped inside, ever since he transmigrated to this world, Anton had been collecting food and different types of drinks, and at that moment, the amount of food inside was enough to last a single person for decades if somehow they were stranded somewhere without food or water.
Not only that, the food that he stored was the best that he could purchase in whatever city he had stumbled into. He also had a massive collection of clothing and other stuff inside his inventory. Anton thought that since he was blessed by his system with such a massive inventory, why let it remain empty?
Anton knew that his father and sister knew that he had a large collection of food and other necessities inside his inventory, but he also knew that his father and sister were not aware of how large the collection was.
That was the reason why he didn’t do any type of preparation whenever he entered a dungeon. Everyone was busy the whole day preparing for the dungeon field trip. The funny thing was that both Alfred and Luna, and the members of Anders’s mercenary group, aside from the two vice-captains, were sporting the same envious expression on their faces.
Anton felt pity for Alfred, so he promised the boy that he would bring him to the Beginner dungeon after the field trip, and that promise calmed the boy and Luna, since the girl knew that if he could bring Alfred somewhere, she would also be included.
By the time lunch arrived, the number of people who would be going to the 1st level floor of the Corridors of Amuneta Dungeon had been finalized. It would be Anton, Anders, Anna, and her classmates, Avina, Normumu, and Alethea, Anders’s vice captains, Daniel, and Ingrid, and Anna’s teacher, Supreme Munetta, and the other three Supreme Wizards that was the guests of Supreme Munetta.
Aside from Anton, everyone was busy with their preparations. Thankfully, no one was belittling the 1st floor of the high-level dungeon due to the fact that it was a high-level dungeon. Everyone had to attend the Supreme Wizards' lessons regarding what to expect and how to ensure their safety. Anders even commanded every member of his Adventurer Group to attend the lesson. The only one who didn’t was Anton, and thankfully, the Supreme Wizards didn’t mind his absence.
Anton spent the rest of the day in his room idly watching the show Stranger Things. He liked the show’s blend of 80s theme, the fantasy, mystery, horror, and science fiction.
He didn’t forget to cast his Blizzard spell that was converted into Mana Rain towards the garden and the somewhat farther but still reachable, Fruit Orchard.
Before dinner arrived, Raymond informed him that the wizards had ordered a lot of things to be purchased from the market, like camping gear.
During dinner, everyone was still talking about the dungeon, and Anton knew that it would probably take the whole group more than two days to complete the floor because, first, they would be walking, and second, it was a teaching field trip.
At around six in the morning the next day, everyone who was included in the field trip left the manor. Alfred even woke up early, tearfully waving his hands goodbye as the carriages that were carrying Anton and the others were leaving.
Since they were traveling using carriages, they would arrive at the entrance of the Corridors of Amuneta dungeon by past noon.
Anders agreed with Anton though that it was better for Anton to check the item.
“The items that you gave us are extremely powerful. I took the time to look around in New Drennor to check if there were any items comparable to yours, but none of them even approached their power.”
Anton just smiled smugly. When Anna gave the circlet to Anton, he immediately stored it in his inventory to check its stats, and thankfully, there seemed to be no change to the circlet.
“I told you the professors would not damage my item!” Anna said.
“It's still better for us to check,” Anton said.
The rest of the travel was spent with everyone telling their experiences they had during the time they were separated. Anders told Anton and Anna the dangers that they had encountered while traveling the roads from New Drennor to Ormunda.
Anders admitted that the main road was still somewhat safe for ordinary people to traverse, and the only dangerous parts were those places that were far from the road. Any low-level mercenary group could safely guard any caravan traveling between two countries.
Anders did admit that because of the power of the Enigma Armor and the Heart of the Oak weapon that Anton gave Anders, there were no enemies that he couldn’t singlehandedly handle.
The items solidified Anders’s status with his mercenary group as a very powerful Adventurer, and they didn’t even know that most of the power that Anders was wielding came from just two items.
Anna then shared her experiences inside the magic academy.
“At first, I was very closed off because I was still reeling from grief, but then after some time, my friends managed to help me overcome that grief. My teachers were very impressed with me because of my level as a mage and due to my very young age, but they were wondering why my leveling up became a little stagnant. They were actually worried that you and Anton would complain to the school. Of course, I didn’t tell them that the only reason why I leveled up too fast was because of Anton’s spell.”
They didn’t expand on that because that was one of the things that made that Invincible Wizard, Katrina to threaten Anton and his family.
Anna told them that her life in the academy was simple. She just studied a lot of things and practiced magic.
“Were there no instances like the ones from the Harry Potter films?” Anton asked curiously, and when Anna sadly said no, Anton’s desire to be part of a magic academy in Ormunda dwindled.
When it was Anton’s turn, he simply told his father and sister his experiences inside the dungeons, starting from the Beginner Dungeon, to Balathar Dungeon, and the deeper floors of the Corridors of Amuneta Dungeon. He made sure that he gave a detailed description of the enemies he had faced, especially the dangerous ones, starting from the 50th floor of the high-level dungeon.
