Chapter 566
Anders informed everyone about the changes the job of Arcane Warrior had given him. As a level one, he only had a single skill from the job, which was the very basic Arcane Slash. Basically, just a sword slash imbued with some sort of Arcane Energy.
Then Anders told them that he felt the increase in physical power that the job had given him. The magical power was still the same amount that he had before he changed his job or class.
After that, Anton’s father and his Adventurer or Mercenary group started discussing the remaining four job scrolls. Before that, though, Anton saw that everyone was still a little distracted about the scrolls. What it all came down to was that everyone was still in awe of the amount of wealth that Anton had managed to accumulate, delving into the dungeon, and he felt that Anders and his group were beginning to have unrealistic expectations about how many gold coins they would accumulate once it was their turn to delve into the dungeon.
At first, Anton wanted to inform them about the basic gold coins a newbie group would earn delving the beginner dungeon. He changed his mind and thought that it would be better for them to learn it by themselves.
He added the two vice-captains to his party system, and then Anton told them that they could now tear the job scroll. They did so without any further delay. Just like Anders, the two vice-captains went into a trance, and the magic of the scrolls started to accumulate. The Plant Druid's magic was green, and the Blood Berserker was red.
Anton felt alarmed at the massive drain that was happening in his mana pool. Thankfully, Anton’s mana pool was huge so was his mana regeneration. He did tell his father that, based on the damage that the vice-captains were accumulating, without him there, they would have died, which alarmed Anders as well.
After a few minutes, they heard a knock on the meeting room’s doorway, which annoyed Anders. He personally went to the door to start berating the person who was disturbing them, but Raymond said that a person from the Adventurer Guild arrived, saying that it was a matter of life and death.
“Sir Anders, I came to warn you about using the job scroll! When we tried to search for you after the auction to inform you more about the scrolls, we were told that you had already left. We informed someone in your group to wait for us. ” The person from the Adventurer Guild said hurriedly, and one of the Anders’s mercenaries looked guilty.
“Is it about the failure rate of the job scroll that could result in death? We found it while I was changing my job through one of the scrolls. Thankfully, my son is a powerful archmage with powerful healing spells that made the transition safe for me. Now two of our people are changing jobs, and my son is also supporting them using his healing spells,” Anders told the Adventurer Guild staff.
The person from the Adventurer Guild looked surprised.
“If it’s not a huge imposition, can I watch the process so we can have a record of the transition for the sake of other adventurers who changed jobs using scrolls?”
Anders told the man that it was fine and invited him in. Anderes and the man from the adventurer guild saw that Danel and Ingrid were still absorbing the magic from the scrolls, but both of them were now kneeling and looked like they were suffering extreme pain.
The weird thing was, they would look like they were in pain for several seconds, and then the pained expression would disappear, and it would start again. Anton knew that the painful parts were when the magic was damaging Daniel and Ingrid, and the relieved expressions were when Anton’s Prayer Aura was healing them.
Anton saw that the man from the Adventurer Guild started taking notes. After an hour, the job transition was complete. Daniel had successfully changed into a Plant Druid, and Ingrid changed into a Blood Berserker.
Everyone looked excited at Anders, Daniel, and Ingrid's successful job change. The man from the Adventurer Guild started interviewing the three regarding the job class change experience.
Anton learned that it was extremely difficult to successfully change into a new, unique job using the scrolls because of the failure rate. Apparently, only the richest could do so safely since they would hire several healers to surround them while doing so. Anton’s Prayer Aura’s advantage was the constant guard against damage.
A normal healer would have difficulties timing the healing they would cast into the one who was changing their job, but Anton’s Prayer Aura would automatically heal the damage as soon as it was incurred.
The man from the Adventurer Guild asked if Anton was holding some sort of healer profession, but was surprised when Anders reiterated that his son was an archmage. Anton and Anders could understand the surprise because powerful healing spells were normally the privy of the Priest profession and other healer variations' jobs. There were very limited mage spells that could heal.
The man from the Adventurer Guild then asked if it was okay to divulge the information about Anton having healing spells that would automatically heal damage as soon as it was incurred, and after a few minutes of deliberation, Anders and Anton allowed the man to do so.
Anders told Anton that it would be better if they foster a good relationship with Ormunda’s Adventurer Guild. After that, the man from the Adventurer Guild left, and when it appeared that Anders’s group would continue their meeting, Anton excused himself and left.
While Anton and the man from the Adventurer Guild were walking, the man admitted to Anton that they might hear inquiries from powerful people regarding hiring Anton to protect people while transitioning their job using job scrolls. Anton asked how much he should charge for a service like that to avoid over- or undercharging. He was surprised when the man told Anton that he could charge 30,000 to 60,000 gold coins for that kind of service.
When the man saw his surprise, he explained to Anton that only the richest could afford to purchase a job scroll, and those people could afford to hire the most powerful healers. Normally, they would hire more than one, but since Anton could do the work single-handedly, he could charge that amount.
Anton thanked the man and went to his room to rest. During the afternoon, Raymond arrived to inform Anton that the Supreme Wizards wanted to talk to him and that they were already in Anders’s office. When he arrived at his father’s office and joined the meeting, they just told him that the wizards had finally completed all the paperwork and that they could now enter the 1st floor of the Corridors of Amuneta Dungeon.
They planned to enter the dungeon the next day. Then they talked about what kind of preparations they would need. They first asked Anton what kind of preparations he was doing before entering a dungeon, but when they learned that Anton wasn’t doing any kind of preparations, everyone just sighed and started planning without his input.
