Chapter 419: Chapter 419: Eight Hundred Wary Hearts

Nan Qiao came looking for Huo Siyu and happened to witness this scene.

Nan Qiao panicked, running over to grab Huo Siyu.

“Si Yu, don’t do anything foolish.”

Killing someone requires paying with one’s life. If there happens to be a security camera nearby, there’s no way to explain it.

“He asked me to stab him; I just gave him face.” Huo Siyu said coldly.

Nan Qiao took out her phone and messaged Li Yehan, urging him to come quickly and take Mo Shaolin away.

“Nan Qiao, it’s not her fault. I asked for it, just so she could vent some anger.” Mo Shaolin’s abdomen continued to bleed, and his hands couldn’t entirely stop it.

Nan Qiao couldn’t bear to look, feeling that Mo Shaolin must be a masochist.

Without hitting him, he wouldn’t be satisfied.

Damn, he’s really got issues.

Li Yehan happened to be nearby and quickly arrived in his car.

Nan Qiao said, “Hurry up and take him to the hospital. If he dies, Si Yu won’t be able to explain herself.”

Mo Shaolin: “My injury has nothing to do with her; I asked for it.”

Nan Qiao: “Your mind seems clear, looks like you won’t die.”

Li Yehan pulled him up: “Come with me; don’t act pathetic here.”

Li Yehan dragged him away.

Huo Siyu said nothing, picked up the beer and barbecue from the ground, and walked home with Nan Qiao as if nothing had happened.

Li Yehan took Mo Shaolin to the hospital, got his wound treated, and arranged inpatient observation.

Mo Shaolin leaned against the pillow, his gaze empty and lifeless.

Li Yehan sat beside him, his tone icy: “Do you want to die?”

“I just wanted her to vent some anger.”

Li Yehan chuckled coldly: “You want to hurt yourself to gain Huo Siyu’s sympathy?”

Being directly called out, Mo Shaolin’s expression was unpleasant.

He awkwardly said, “I just wanted her to vent some anger.”

“Mo Shaolin, do you even think? Do you truly believe a few stab wounds will make her feel better? She lost a child—your death wouldn’t necessarily make up for it!”

Mo Shaolin lowered his head, dispirited and dejected.

“Leave the country. Don’t stay in Jing City looking for abuse. Explore the world, and give Huo Siyu some peace.”

Mo Shaolin looked at him resentfully: “Are you still my brother?”

“If I weren’t your brother, would I have brought you to the hospital? Huo Siyu is Qiaoqiao’s friend. Tell me, what’s the right thing for me to do here?”

Mo Shaolin sighed, realizing he couldn’t truly alleviate Huo Siyu’s anger.

Perhaps it was time to leave Jing City, to leave this place behind.

“I’ll take the earliest flight tomorrow.”

Li Yehan said no more. Whatever he did couldn’t undo the harm to Huo Siyu. Both sides needed time to cool down.

Nan Qiao went home with Huo Siyu. Huo Siyu drank beer and ate barbecue, acting as though nothing had happened.

“Si Yu, Li Yehan told me Mo Shaolin’s wounds were treated, and he’s leaving Jing City tomorrow.”

“I don’t care where he dies, as long as he doesn’t show up in front of me.” Huo Siyu took a bite of lamb skewers, savoring the taste.

Nan Qiao wasn’t hungry and simply kept her company, chatting to help her cool off.

After chatting a while, Huo Siyu handed her a bottle of beer.

Nan Qiao waved her hand: “I ate too much tonight; I can’t drink anymore.”

Huo Siyu didn’t force her and drank alone.

The two continued to chat.

Nan Qiao returned home; Bai Jingrui had come back, gifting her a customized limited-edition motorcycle.

Nan Qiao looked at the sleek motorcycle, her face lighting up with joy.

“Qiaoqiao, this is for you. When I saw this motorcycle, you were the first person I thought of, so I bought it for you.”

Nan Qiao reached out to stroke the motorcycle, excited and happy: “Thank you, Third Brother!”

“You’re welcome, as long as my little sister likes it.”

Bai Jingrui suggested: “Sis, take me for a ride.”

“Third Brother, hop on.”

Both donned helmets, and Nan Qiao took Bai Jingrui out for a ride.

It was Bai Jingrui’s first time riding Nan Qiao’s motorcycle—thrilling!

After a lap, they stopped at the gate, where Bai Jingting and Bai Jingyan were waiting.

Nan Qiao braked, Bai Jingrui smugly removed his helmet.

“Big Brother, Second Brother, you’re back. My sister and I just came home too. This is the motorcycle I gifted her, isn’t it cool? She loves it.”

Bai Jingrui looked like he’d sprout a tail from pride.

Qiaoqiao liking his gift made him even more smug.

Bai Jingyan said, “Sister, I’ve never ridden a motorcycle. Can you take me for a ride too?”

“Sure!” Nan Qiao replied with a bright smile.

Bai Jingrui: “???”

Bai Jingrui didn’t expect Bai Jingyan to be so brazen.

Nan Qiao turned her head, her sparkling bright eyes curving into a smile, making it impossible to refuse.

“Third Brother, take a break. I’ll take Second Brother for a spin first, okay?”

Bai Jingrui was forced to step aside, while Bai Jingyan eagerly climbed aboard.

“Sis, let’s go.”

Nan Qiao rode the motorcycle, taking Bai Jingyan out for a ride, leaving Bai Jingting and Bai Jingrui behind.

“Big Brother, just look at Second Brother—he doesn’t care if Sis gets tired.”

Bai Jingting: “Why didn’t you say something earlier?”

“Sis was present—I didn’t want her to feel uncomfortable.”

Bai Jingting: “…”

Bai Jingrui had eight hundred tricks up his sleeve!

Not long after, Nan Qiao returned with Bai Jingyan.

Nan Qiao smiled brightly and asked, “Big Brother, do you want to go for a ride too? I’ll take you.”

Bai Jingting’s cold face softened with a hint of doting: “Sis, I won’t go. I’m worried you’re already tired. Your Second Brother and Third Brother, they’re really something—making you give them rides so late at night. It’s not safe.”

Bai Jingrui & Bai Jingyan: “???”

Bai Jingting must have a million clever tricks himself!

Bai Jingrui said, “Big Brother, you don’t get it. A new ride sparks curiosity—Sis surely wants to take it for a spin.”

Bai Jingyan chimed in, “When there’s something new, who could resist enjoying it thoroughly?”

Nan Qiao gave an awkward smile, stuck in the middle, unsure of whom to side with.

Bai Jingting said, “Even so, everything has a limit. It’s late, and visibility is low; safety comes first.”

Nan Qiao got off the motorcycle: “Big Brother, I’ll take you for a ride tomorrow.”

“Alright, Qiaoqiao, let’s go inside for dinner first.”

“Okay! Second Brother, Third Brother, let’s go eat.”

The four walked together, heading inside to eat.

Nan Qiao spent some time with her parents before heading upstairs to take a shower.

Now that she’d delegated her tasks, she felt more relaxed, less overwhelmed.

She opened her computer, logged into the chat app, and saw a message from Lan Qingran.

“Jingjing, we’re planning to visit you in a couple of days. Father said he wants to see the big city; he shouldn’t always stay confined to the island.”

Nan Qiao was thrilled, typing on the keyboard: “You and Master are always welcome in Jing City! I’ll have rooms cleaned tomorrow to make sure you’re well accommodated.”

“Jingjing, is Li Yehan treating you well? If he’s not, don’t let yourself suffer.”

Lan Qingran’s message was full of concern for Nan Qiao.

Nan Qiao replied, “Don’t worry about me; I’m fine. Li Yehan treats me very well—he always has, and that hasn’t changed.”

Nan Qiao spoke firmly, hoping Lan Qingran would quickly dispel his worries.

Lan Qingran read her message but still seemed reluctant to let it go.

He replied: “As long as he’s good to you, I can rest assured. Jingjing, see you in a couple of days.”

Nan Qiao replied with an “Hmm,” not mentioning anything else.

Just then, there was a sound at the window.

Nan Qiao knew—Li Yehan had climbed in again.
