Chapter 370 The Method to Pause the Robot

Lu Heng sat on the sofa and lit a cigarette, despite never smoking before.

"Cough, cough, cough..."

Although still not accustomed to it, Lu Heng chose to use cigarettes to stay alert due to the numerous issues he needed to ponder recently.

"What's wrong?"

Bora, on the other side of the screen, asked in confusion as Lu Heng suddenly lowered his head and emitted a pained sound.

"Nothing, um, I want to ask you a question. How can your robots be stopped?"

"Stopped from what?"

"I mean, how to make them cease their actions. The robot I sent to you earlier, it attacked me before, so I wanted to ask, if I encounter such a robot again, how to avoid being attacked."

"That's simple. You input a command, and they'll stop attacking."

"A voice command?"

"Yes."

"Then tell me, I'll record it. If I encounter it again, I can protect myself."

With that, Lu Heng produced a voice recorder and pressed the record button.

Bora hesitated for a moment, but then spoke a command.

The voice of the command was in a language Lu Heng couldn't understand.

Lu Heng waited for Bora to finish before turning off the recorder.

"After speaking this command, how long will the robot be shut down? Will there be any unexpected situations where it resumes operation?"

"No, in the program we compiled for the robots, this is a mandatory function. As long as they hear that phrase, they can no longer connect online. What I mean is, they are forcibly shut down."

"Hmm, are there any manual operation options? For example, do they have buttons on them that can manually cut off their power?"

Another brief silence. "Yes."

"However, why are you always fixated on that robot? Have you discovered robots elsewhere? By the way, you haven't explained where you found the robot you threw into our space. Bona said that model of robot was produced in our space city, how did you get it?"

Back when Bona's space city was attacked, they had retreated in such a panic that they had no time to take their usual robot servants with them.

However, it was not impossible that other aliens, for some reason, had brought other robots onto their escape ships.

Bora still informed Lu Heng of the method to manually shut down the robot. There was a circular button on the robot's chest, which would be mistaken for mere decoration if not looked at carefully.

"I'm not in a convenient position to disclose the location where I found the robot for now. After I'm done with my current matters, I'll go talk to Bona."

Lu Heng vaguely felt that his space had some connection with Bona's people, but this connection was not entirely clear.

After all, in his space, besides a space similar to the space city Bona mentioned, there was also another human world and a game world.

Lu Heng needed to figure out why these worlds were connected to the space that appeared after his rebirth.

But he couldn't reveal everything to Bona. Having already fallen behind them technologically, he needed to keep some things to himself to be safe.

"Alright, then remember to notify me when you return. Also, you should wear this communicator with you at all times. That way, we can determine your location if something happens. However, your current location is a bit strange; we can't see it."

Lu Heng knew that the communicator Bora gave him could locate him when a call was connected. At this moment, in the projection cast by the communicator, there was a map, and a small yellow dot was constantly flashing in the area of Lu Heng's country.

However, his own location was not displayed. He guessed it was because he was in his space, and the spatial dimensions had changed, making it impossible to display the correct location.

After putting away the communicator, Lu Heng lay down on the bed and closed his eyes, exhausted.

—What does this robot want to do?

Waking up, Lu Heng, full of energy, left his space and returned to the town.

The sky was still dark at this time. Fortunately, Country Y had a small population, and as long as it wasn't a bustling metropolis, the number of zombies wouldn't be too high in areas with a sparse existing population.

In this situation, Lu Heng didn't need to consider whether it was day or night.

In areas with low population density, the level of zombies usually didn't increase too quickly, so Lu Heng could easily deal with these zombies himself.

Without summoning his rhinoceros, Lu Heng took out the flying tool given to him by Bora.

Instantly, Lu Heng silently floated into the air.

Looking down, zombies were occasionally active nearby. Their movement speed at night was more than double that during the day.

However, there were no humans or animals nearby to attract the zombies. They hadn't sensed the presence of living beings.

Even if attracted by some sound and moving around for a bit, when they reached their destination and found no living creatures to attract them, they would eventually return to a static state.

Seeing the few zombies below, Lu Heng did not attack them. If the zombies in this area underwent significant changes, it would attract the attention of that robot.

Ultimately, he still had to deal with that robot first.

Lu Heng wandered until dawn but couldn't find any trace of the robot.

Logically, robots were unaffected by the apocalypse and zombies. They had mechanical bodies and were not living beings, so they neither attracted zombies nor worried about being harmed or infected by them.

Therefore, robots wouldn't stop searching for supplies due to darkness.

Yet, Lu Heng had searched for so long without finding any sign of the robot.

So, Lu Heng expanded his search range and headed towards the border of Country Y.

However, he didn't find the robot. Instead, Lu Heng saw other human survivors in the air.

In a villa below, a group of people were desperately resisting a horde of zombies.

This villa was the best-located building in the area. It was built on the edge of a hillside, with steep slopes on two sides of the perimeter wall, making them difficult to climb.

The other two sides had gentle slopes leading to other areas of the villa district.

The villa was not only vast in area but also had a strong and tall perimeter wall.

In the later stages, a layer of sheet metal was added to the entire perimeter wall, significantly raising its height.

Inside the perimeter wall, high platforms were set up at intervals to resist attacks from outside the wall.

The zombies below roared and gathered towards the villa from the gentle slopes. They randomly rammed the outer walls of the villa, their dirt and flesh splattering against the walls with dull thuds.

The people inside stood on the platforms built within the walls. Some ordinary people used their firearms to shoot at the zombies outside, while other ability users utilized their various powers to resist the zombies.

The people below were still too weak. Twenty to thirty people gathered in the courtyard, but their resistance against the zombie attack seemed feeble.

From above, Lu Heng estimated that it wouldn't be long before the wall being rammed by the zombies collapsed. At that point, the people leaning against the wall would be crushed and become food for the zombies.
