Chapter 187: Chapter 187, Encounter Robbery_1

"Jiang Chen, the Nordic European Secret Land has vanished. It wasn’t you who slew the Giant Dragon, was it?"

"Did you perhaps obtain the Dragon Egg?"

"My goodness, that’s a Dragon Egg from a Destructive Series Dragon—impressive indeed! This dragon is powerful enough to be your Covenant Beast."

Seeing Jiang Chen’s smile, they instantly understood that he must have secured the Dragon Egg—the Dragon Egg of a Destructive Series Dragon, no less, a truly precious treasure. Such Dragon Eggs are treasures rarely found.

Alice said, "Let’s go, there’s nothing worth seeing here." The group of seven then left the area, walking down the main street.

Alice whispered, "It’s best not to discuss the Destructive Series Dragon Egg here. Such a thing is a supreme treasure and could very well attract unwanted attention.

"In the Xileruo World, it’s even more dangerous than in our own realm. Here, everyone is above the First-stage, and there are even Second-stage Experts and Third-stage Experts."

The group immediately clamped their mouths shut. No wonder Alice became a Legion Commander; with such prudence, she was undoubtedly fit to be the boss.

Angelina whispered, "Jiang Chen, why don’t I just give it to you? It would be better for you to form a covenant with this beast than for me."

"No need. If I gave it to you, then it’s yours. Enough with the nonsense."

"Oh." Angelina was inwardly overjoyed.

Hearing their exchange, the others exclaimed inwardly. Sure enough, this guy has a Destructive Series Dragon Egg, and he actually gave it to his woman! A mix of envy, jealousy, and resentment filled them.

"My friends, I heard you were in search of Red Dragon’s Heart Crystal. It just so happens that I have some. How much do you need? I can supply you."

Just as the group was about to leave, a blue-haired youth called out to Jiang Chen and his companions.

The seven stopped in their tracks. Turning around, they looked at the blond youth approaching them.

The youth came over with a smile. "My name is Severus. I have Red Dragon’s Heart Crystal. How much do you need?"

Jiang Chen asked, "Do you really have Red Dragon’s Heart Crystal?"

Seeing the man’s skepticism, the youth pulled out a small piece of red and blue crystal from his pocket, which radiated a strange power.

Jiang Chen turned to look at Alice, who nodded. "This is indeed Red Dragon’s Heart Crystal, but this small piece is clearly not enough."

"I’m well aware that this isn’t sufficient. I have more Red Dragon’s Heart Crystal. It just depends on how much you need."

"What about the price?"

"One hundred thousand per gram."

What the hell kind of Red Dragon’s Heart Crystal is this? It’s even more expensive than Gold! A jin would be 10,000,000!

Alice nodded. "That should be the price."

"How much do you have?"

"That depends on how much you need."

Jiang Chen was also unsure. He knew that the Golden Dragon Egg required Red Dragon’s Heart Crystal for hatching, but he wasn’t clear on precisely how many grams were needed; there wasn’t a fixed quantity for this sort of thing.

Severus said, "For a common Flying Dragon, around ten jin are usually needed. If it’s a higher-level dragon, more Red Dragon’s Heart Crystal would be required. If it’s a Top Level Dragon, then about a hundred jin would be needed."

Angelina was calculating on her fingers. "One jin equals 500 grams. One hundred jin equals 50,000 grams. Ten million a jin... so a hundred jin would be one billion..."

Jiang Chen glanced back at her, rolling his eyes. This woman is truly a God Reincarnation Body? Could she have been a fool in her previous life?

Severus smiled. "This price is already quite cheap. If you were to ask elsewhere, they might not have it, and even if they do, they wouldn’t have such a quantity of Red Dragon’s Heart Crystal. This crystal is hard to come by, even in the Giant Dragon World."

Jiang Chen nodded. "Alright, let’s buy a hundred jin then."

"Very well, please follow me."

Severus walked ahead, with Jiang Chen and his six companions trailing behind.

Alice whispered a warning, "Jiang Chen, be careful. This man appeared out of nowhere—it’s very likely a trap." Jiang Chen just smiled without saying a word.

This is too convenient. We just happen to be looking for Red Dragon’s Heart Crystal, and suddenly someone pops up claiming to have it. Such coincidences rarely happen. The Red Dragon’s Heart Crystal is used to hatch Giant Dragon Eggs, so their target must be the Dragon Eggs. We’ll trade if possible. If not, then it’s dog-eat-dog. That’s what I like best. Robbery is incredibly profitable!

Seeing Jiang Chen’s expression, Alice had a flash of realization. So he’s fishing! Jiang Chen probably guessed this all along.

Alice said no more and simply followed Severus. Jiang Qiu and the others exchanged glances and nodded. They were no fledgling Heroes; they were already prepared for whatever this transaction entailed.

Severus entered a tavern. Looking back, he said, "We’ll need to go through a Teleportation Array to reach our base. Please follow me."

Jiang Chen nodded and followed Severus into a private room in the tavern. There were many Teleportation Arrays here, capable of transporting them into the heart of a Legion. In the Xileruo World, many such taverns existed, linked to one another. These taverns weren’t primarily for drinking but served as hubs for Teleportation Arrays, with many private Legions establishing their arrays within them. Passing through a Teleportation Array could transport one to their base.

Severus stepped into the Teleportation Array and vanished, with the others following closely. The group passed through the Teleportation Array and into a Legion outpost. Many Heroes were present, and upon seeing Severus bringing people over, they laughed.

Here they come. More lambs to the slaughter.

Huh, seven people? Six women and one man. Looks like a good catch!

The onlookers rubbed their hands in anticipation.

Severus turned and said, "This is the place."

Jiang Chen glanced around, noticing their hands resting on their waists. So this is a robbery!

Keeping his composure, Jiang Chen smiled and asked, "With whom do we make the trade?"

"I need to see if your funds are sufficient."

"Well, I need to see if you have a hundred jin of the Red Dragon’s Heart Crystal!"

Severus waved his hand. At that moment, a large number of Heroes crowded around them.

Alice frowned deeply. "Jiang Chen, this is a one-way Teleportation Array."

Severus laughed. "You’re right, it is indeed a one-way Teleportation Array. Now I’ll give you a chance to save your lives. Take off all your equipment and hand it over.

"And most importantly, the Dragon Egg."

Jiang Qiu and the others drew their Weapons, prepared to act at any moment.

Severus extended his right hand and waggled his index finger. "I advise you to be obedient and hand over your things quietly. This is my turf, and I can’t guarantee your survival otherwise."

"Kid, you’d better hand them over! Haven’t you realized? This place has been sealed by our Barrier Masters!"

"They also have Dragon Eggs! Looks like we’ve caught a big fish this time!"

"These greenhorns clearly come from a minor world. This is an important lesson we’re teaching them."

"Better listen up, or face death!"

Facing the threats, Jiang Chen remained unconcerned, as did Jiang Qiu and the others. Muriel stepped forward. "Jiang Chen, don’t make a move yet. These detestable fellows—I’m going to suck their blood dry!"

Jiang Chen looked at Muriel. She now revealed her fangs, and her eyes had turned blood red.
