Chapter 116: Chapter 53: Possessed (Requesting subscription and monthly tickets)_2
Killed Jin Dayuan, but Liu Wei’s anger didn’t diminish at all. He looked around, the voice in his head still there, kill him, kill him, kill him. Just then, Jin Dayuan’s wife walked out of the bedroom after hearing the commotion in the living room, wanting to see what exactly was happening.
However, when Jin Dayuan’s wife saw the situation in the living room, she only had time to scream once before being scared stiff, standing dumbly at the bedroom door, not daring to move.
Liu Wei, holding the hammer, walked towards Jin Dayuan’s wife. At that moment, Liu Wei had only one thought in his mind, kill him, kill him.
So, without any surprise, Liu Wei used the hammer to kill Jin Dayuan’s wife. Then, he saw the two children still sleeping in the bedroom. He walked towards them with the hammer and killed the two children without any hesitation.
It wasn’t until Liu Wei had killed all four members of Jin Dayuan’s family that he suddenly felt a sense of awareness.
"When I looked at Xiaofang and Xiaoxiang on the bed, bloodied and mangled by my own hands, I was completely devastated. I never imagined I would do something so cruel. I really never thought of killing them." Liu Wei spoke, his expression showing some pain.
Luo Fei looked at Liu Wei. Liu Wei’s expression didn’t seem like he was lying, and lying at this point didn’t have much significance. Liu Wei killed four members of Jin Dayuan’s family; no matter what, his fate was already sealed.
Outside the interrogation room
"If Jin Dayuan deserved it, then his wife and children are truly innocent. They did nothing and yet suffered such a pointless disaster, losing their lives for nothing. It’s like a fire at the city gates affecting the fish in the pond." Zhao Donglai remarked.
"Zhao, Liu Wei said just now that there was always a demon in his mind telling him to kill, which is why he killed Jin Dayuan’s wife and children. Do you think Liu Wei might have a personality disorder or something?" Group 2 leader Zhang Fan questioned dubiously.
"Probably not. This should be Liu Wei’s first killing, and his emotions were severely rattled, causing such a reaction. Liu Wei’s behavior is similar to the Jiangzhou City 5.13 incident where Wang Yuan accidentally killed his wife, got mentally disturbed, and then went on to kill his father-in-law and mother-in-law." Zhao Donglai pondered.
While they were discussing, Luo Fei and Sun Jun came out of the interrogation room.
"Well done, you’ve worked hard today." Zhao Donglai patted Luo Fei on the shoulder and then looked at everyone, "That’s it for today. Yang Mei, get those DNA comparison results on the blood stains on the murder weapon from the tech lab as soon as possible. Luo Fei, you should try to write up a summary report of the case and hand it in along with the interrogation records after starting work tomorrow morning." Zhao Donglai instructed.
It was already ten o’clock by the time they got off work that night.
Luo Fei was the last one to leave the office from group three. By the time Luo Fei came out of the office, offices of groups one and two were already empty, only the lights in the tech lab were still on.
Realizing that Yang Mei hadn’t finished work yet, Luo Fei walked over.
Sure enough, in the lab, Yang Mei was wearing a white lab coat and a ponytail, still conducting DNA comparison experiments.
Luo Fei knocked on the laboratory door and waited for Yang Mei to notice the sound from the doorway. She nodded at him, and Luo Fei walked into the office, coming to Yang Mei’s side.
"Will it be long?" Luo Fei asked softly.
"Almost done, just finishing this last set of DNA comparisons." Yang Mei briefly looked up at Luo Fei, then continued her work.
"Okay, then let’s leave together when you’re finished." Luo Fei said.
"Alright." Yang Mei nodded.
So Luo Fei sat beside and watched Yang Mei do the experiment. He didn’t speak for fear of distracting her.
They say hardworking guys are attractive to girls, but diligent girls are really nice to look at too.
About ten minutes later, Yang Mei finally finished comparing the last set of DNA.
"Finished? How’s the comparison result?" Luo Fei promptly inquired.
"Two different DNAs were extracted from the murder weapon, matching completely with that of Jin Dayuan and his wife." Yang Mei replied.
"With Liu Wei’s confession and hammer evidence, this case is considered solved."
"Wait for me a second, I’ll go change clothes." Yang Mei said and walked into the nearby changing room.
"Okay." Luo Fei nodded.
Not long after, Yang Mei came out, wearing a gray-white long coat, her ponytail hair now down.
"I’m ready, let’s go." Yang Mei said.
After turning off the lab lights and closing the door, Luo Fei and Yang Mei walked one in front of the other down the stairs, heading for the playground.
"Yang Mei, have you had dinner? Let’s go grab something to eat!" Luo Fei thought for a second and turned his head to look at Yang Mei beside him.
"Sure, I have eaten, but you probably haven’t had dinner yet, right?" Yang Mei smiled and asked.
"No, I’m starving." Luo Fei replied with a smile.
"I’ll get the car first, wait for me a bit, I’ll take you to a place I know you’ll love, the porridge there is delicious." Yang Mei said as she walked towards the parking lot.
"Let me come with you." Luo Fei quickly followed her.
The two drove to New Street, parking the car.
Hao Zhou Dao
"This is the place, their porridge is delicious. Xiaoyue and I love their porridge the most." Yang Mei introduced to Luo Fei.
"Is it that good? Then I’ll have to try it tonight."
"It’s really delicious, trust me, you’ll love their porridge." Yang Mei said with a smile, walking skillfully into the shop.
"Yang Mei, are you working late tonight? Just you alone? Where’s Xiaoyue?" A woman in her fifties greeted Yang Mei, it seemed she and Wu Xiaoyue were regulars here indeed.
"She didn’t come. This is Luo Fei, the new colleague from the criminal police team." Yang Mei introduced Luo Fei to the woman, then to Luo Fei added, "This is the owner Aunt Tang; her porridge is the best."
"Are the two of you...?" The woman looked at Luo Fei, then Yang Mei, and then asked with a full smile.
"No, no, don’t guess, Aunt Tang, hurry up and make porridge for us, and maybe some BBQ also, we’re starving." Yang Mei quickly interrupted the middle-aged woman’s words, then urged her.
"Alright, alright, I’ll go make porridge for you two, you sit first." The middle-aged woman said as she walked to the kitchen.
"Do you often eat here?" Luo Fei asked curiously.
"Yes, whenever my parents are not at home, and I’m lazy to cook by myself, I come here to Aunt Tang’s for food." Yang Mei answered.
"It can’t be so good as to warrant that, right?" Luo Fei asked with doubt.
Yang Mei looked at Luo Fei seriously: "That’s just one reason, but also because Aunt Tang’s husband was actually part of our criminal police team, he was my mentor. He was killed last year during the 3.11 case investigation."
