Chapter 115: Chapter 53: Possessed (Requesting subscription and monthly tickets)
Upon finding the murder weapon, Luo Fei immediately called Zhao Donglai, who then ordered the arrest of Liu Wei.
Luo Fei then called Sun Jun and Zhang Fan, who were surveilling Liu Wei, instructing them to capture Liu Wei.
At nine in the evening, in the interrogation room of the criminal police team, Liu Wei sat in a chair with his hands cuffed.
Outside the interrogation room, Yang Su, Yang Mei, and a few squad leaders who had just received the news, had just arrived at the criminal police team.
"Luo Fei, you’re something else. How did you move so fast? I just went home for a shower and a meal, and you already caught the murderer. You’re unbelievable!" Yang Su looked at Luo Fei as if he had seen something incredible.
"Well, now that Luo Fei has caught the killer, I can finally have a good night’s sleep tonight without worrying about working overtime every day in the following days," Zhang Fan joked.
"Luo Fei, how did you manage to catch the murderer?" Yang Mei asked curiously.
"Alright, alright, Luo Fei still needs to interrogate the suspect. If you have questions, wait until he’s done," Zhao Donglai said with a smile. As Zhang Fan mentioned, Luo Fei had caught the murderer, so he could sleep peacefully tonight, and he already felt much more relaxed and in a better mood.
"Alright, Captain, I’m going in." Luo Fei said to Zhao Donglai, then signaled to Sun Jun, and the two of them entered the interrogation room.
Liu Wei looked at Luo Fei and Sun Jun as they entered with little expression on his face, as if he had expected this outcome.
"You killed the entire Jin Dayuan family, didn’t you? We found the murder weapon in the hotel you rented. No point in denying it," Luo Fei asked directly without beating around the bush.
"I have no intention to deny it. I killed the Jin Dayuan family," to Luo Fei’s surprise, Liu Wei admitted immediately.
"Tell me, why did you kill all four members of Jin Dayuan’s family?" Though surprised, Luo Fei remained calm.
"I originally only wanted to kill Jin Dayuan, but I don’t know why. It felt like I was possessed, and I couldn’t control myself," Liu Wei’s previously calm demeanor changed to one of pain.
"What exactly happened? Why did you have to kill Jin Dayuan?" Luo Fei pressed on.
Liu Wei was silent for a moment before he spoke, "If it weren’t for him, Huang Ying wouldn’t have had a miscarriage, and we wouldn’t have lost our child. The doctor said Huang Ying’s miscarriage damaged her uterus, and she can no longer have children. It’s all Jin Dayuan’s fault. If it weren’t for him, none of this would have happened. He truly deserved to die."
Then Liu Wei recounted the entire incident, explaining how Huang Ying’s miscarriage was caused by Jin Dayuan losing money and going to Huang Ying’s house to borrow money. But Jin Dayuan had already borrowed a lot from Liu Wei and his wife, so Huang Ying refused. However, Jin Dayuan, being Huang Ying’s brother, forcibly snatched her purse when she tried to stop him.
No one expected Jin Dayuan, in a fit of rage, to push Huang Ying so harshly that she lost her balance and fell, affecting her pregnancy. Huang Ying immediately started to bleed, yet Jin Dayuan turned a blind eye, took a few hundred yuan from the wallet, and rushed off to the casino.
Huang Ying, enduring the pain, called Liu Wei. When Liu Wei received the call, he rushed home to take his wife Huang Ying to the county hospital, but it was too late. The doctor pronounced that they couldn’t save the child, and worse, Huang Ying would not be able to conceive in the future. This news was a significant blow to both Liu Wei and Huang Ying.
Huang Ying didn’t tell Liu Wei the truth. She said she fell because she feared Liu Wei would lose his rationality and go after Jin Dayuan.
Until last night, the hospital notified Liu Wei that the previous payment had been exhausted and new fees were required. Liu Wei had no excess money, so he waited until Huang Ying fell asleep, then went to Peach Blossom Village overnight to confront Jin Dayuan and demand some of the money he had lent to pay the hospital.
But Liu Wei hadn’t anticipated Jin Dayuan, being Huang Ying’s brother, shamelessly refusing to even consider repaying the debt. Instead, he continuously taunted Liu Wei, saying he had been blind to let his sister marry Liu Wei, gaining no benefits, and criticizing Huang Ying for losing her conscience in marrying Liu Wei and forgetting her brother by refusing to lend money.
As he spoke, Jin Dayuan inadvertently mentioned how Huang Ying refused to lend him money the other day, which led to him snatching her wallet and pushing her. That’s when Liu Wei realized Huang Ying was pushed that day by Jin Dayuan, contrary to what Huang Ying had claimed as a self-inflicted fall.
Watching Jin Dayuan continue to spew insults at both him and Huang Ying, and thinking about how Jin Dayuan caused them to lose their child and robbed Huang Ying of the ability to have children,
Liu Wei suddenly felt an overwhelming fury rise within him. He grabbed the hammer under the coffee table and swung it hard at the right side of Jin Dayuan’s head.
Jin Dayuan was still babbling on, but in the next moment, Liu Wei struck him hard with the hammer. Jin Dayuan fell, with an incredulous look on his face, unconscious, collapsing from the sofa to the ground with his head hitting the coffee table.
In that moment, Liu Wei felt as if there was a devil’s voice in his head, urging him to kill the hideous man in front of him, so he struck Jin Dayuan’s head with the hammer once more, relentlessly.
