Jun Yelan took a piece and took a bite. The taste was moderate, and his expression remained unchanged.
Seeing this, his three younger siblings each took a piece, chewed on it, and exclaimed, "Delicious!" They quickly finished one and reached for another.
Lan Ya also ate and praised, "Eldest Sister, your cooking is no less than that of outside chefs." She hadn't expected her eldest sister to be such a good cook and admired her even more.
Furthermore, she noticed that Young Master Jun treated her eldest sister quite well.
With everyone having eaten, Lan Yan's smile never left her lips, and her gaze remained fixed on Jun Yelan. Jun Yelan had clearly helped her just now, this was the second time.
Being stared at so intently, Jun Yelan became uncomfortable even while eating. He turned his head to remind Lan Yan, but seeing the smile on her lips, he ultimately said nothing.
However, he was puzzled why Lan Yan always stared at him, when there was nothing on his face.
Lan Yan was overjoyed seeing Jun Yelan eating. She also started eating, consuming half a bowl more rice than usual, and even drank some fruit wine.
After the meal, her younger siblings left, taking the remaining pastries with them.
The table became empty. Lan Yan sat in her spot, her cheeks flushed, shaking her head. She felt dizzy.
Seeing Jun Yelan about to leave, she mustered up courage she didn't know she had, grabbed his sleeve, and called out, "Don't go."
Jun Yelan was baffled. He turned his head and saw that Lan Yan was a little different from usual, with a touch of girlish charm. Realizing his own thoughts, he quickly pulled his sleeve back, but she held on tightly.
Lan Yan stood up and made an effort to raise her head to meet Jun Yelan's gaze. She reached out towards Jun Yelan's cheek, and just as her fingers were about to touch, she placed her hand on his shoulder.
"No, if I pinch Jun Yelan's face, he'll definitely scold me."
Jun Yelan's expression darkened. He couldn't afford to be lenient with Lan Yan; she was thinking of taking liberties with him again. He pulled his sleeve free and walked towards the bed. Seeing Lan Yan still standing there, he felt an urge to stop, but he suppressed it.
He lay down on the bed, ignoring Lan Yan.
Lan Yan, however, turned around, looked at Jun Yelan on the bed, and called out with a giggle, "Big beauty." She swayed her way to the bedside and lunged at him.
Jun Yelan started, and angrily said, "Get off!" He wanted to push Lan Yan away, but upon seeing her unfocused eyes and then glancing at the fruit wine on the table, he immediately understood.
He then pushed Lan Yan to the side and said, "You sleep here tonight, I'll sleep on the couch."
One couldn't argue with a drunk person.
Lan Yan, however, leaned onto Jun Yelan again and mumbled, "I won't. You scold me, Jun Yelan also scolds me. My life is so hard. Even though I've tried my best to be good to him, he's always been cold to me."
"It's not like I'm the one who did wrong, but I'm the one who suffers. Recalling this, her eyes turned red.
Jun Yelan looked at Lan Yan's red eyes, which resembled a rabbit's, and stopped pushing her away. Even though he knew Lan Yan wasn't sober, he still asked, "Then why are you good to him?"
"Because he's handsome, and I like him," Lan Yan said with a smile, her mind conjuring an image of Jun Yelan, her smile widening.
Jun Yelan was completely stunned, staring at the twinkling-eyed Lan Yan before him. His ears turned red, and his serpentine tail beneath him slowly transformed into two legs.
