Chapter 120: 84, Still have to come together_2

Because of this, even Sean has found it three times over the past two years, showing how basic this level of hiding is.

.

Shi Nian holds her breath lightly and turns her gaze to Tang Yanqing.

He guided her reasoning to this point, and the answer was already obvious.

Who is the person hiding things, so full of care?

——Only the one who never truly intended to lose the object would act this way.

Shi Nian smiles.

Just by stating this conclusion, S’s accusation against Spicy Girl would naturally be solved.

"But if you want to close the case like this, it’s just a castle in the air." Tang Yanqing tilted her head and looked over, chuckling, "This is just the conclusion of reasoning, but there is no real evidence to support it. The police cannot handle the case like this. If Sean can’t find the necklace, then you can’t state your reasoning conclusion just yet."

Shi Nian bit her lip: "I understand!"

.

Saying this, Sean had already finished searching S’s wardrobe and bookshelf.

He turned with some confusion and glanced at Tang Yanqing.

——Nothing.

Shi Nian narrowed her eyes. If it’s not in these two places, where could the third place be?

Tang Yanqing chuckled: "Our school dorms are generally double rooms, which is actually quite nice, more lively than living alone."

Sean decisively walked over to Marina’s wardrobe.

Marina immediately walked over dissatisfied, holding the cabinet door: "What kind of joke is this, why search my wardrobe? Women’s clothes are private, why should I let you inspect them?"

Sean’s eyes clouded with gray-blue mist: "You’re in the same room with S, so you are under suspicion too. If you insist on not letting me check, then it shows you have a guilty conscience."

Marina still refused to agree, firmly demanding that Sean present a search permit from the school, or even a search warrant from a judge.

The situation was momentarily deadlocked, Tang Yanqing glanced at her watch.

The promised fifteen minutes were almost up.

Shi Nian couldn’t help but whisper: "Whether it’s applying for permission from the school or getting a search warrant from a judge, it’s not something that can be done in such a short time. Professor, don’t make things difficult for Sean."

"Well said." Tang Yanqing squinted and smiled: "I can’t stand by idly either."

He finished speaking, smiled and squeezed through the crowd into the room, walking towards S.

He stood in front of her with a smile, asking, "Tell me, where is it?" He said, pointing to Marina’s wardrobe while gazing at S’s eyes: "Not over here?" Then pointing to the bookshelf side: "So it’s over there?"

S’s gaze flickered, Tang Yanqing smiled and pointed Sean towards Marina’s bookshelf: "It’s over there."

He then walked to Marina: "Even if it’s found there, I know it has nothing to do with you. I’m your professor, I can testify for you to the school. Don’t worry, just open it."

Marina watched Tang Yanqing question only S, not her, and reluctantly glared at S before going over to open the cabinet door.

Sean stepped forward for a thorough check, and sure enough, found a velvet bag in between a stack of books. Opening it, he pulled out the dazzling diamond necklace.

Sean stared at S with his gray-blue eyes: "What else do you have to say?"

S blushed with embarrassment, reached forward, palm facing outward: "I—I didn’t know it would be in Marina’s bookshelf!"

Marina looked at S deeply, pursing her lips.

Shi Nian saw this and could only sigh quietly. Marina was originally S’s henchman, but with this, although perhaps it was decided between the two long ago, it seemed as if S had pushed Marina into an awkward position.

Marina clearly felt a rift growing because of this.

.

Fifteen minutes, finally bringing everything to light.

In the end, S had to admit that she herself misplaced the object and forgot she placed it in Marina’s bookshelf.

Spicy Girl angrily retorted two sentences at S, then thanked Tang Yanqing together with Shi Nian.

Tang Yanqing smiled: "It was no big deal. But if you insist on thanking me, do me a favor." He said, turning to point to his room: "It needs some soft furnishings inside, like sheets, duvet covers, curtains, lamps, small decorations, and such."

His gaze enveloped them: "You both understand, I’m a single man, not very skilled at picking out these miscellaneous items. Why don’t the two of you take some time to help me pick some out?"

He took a supplementary card from his wallet: "Use this for the expenses."

While handing over the card, his gaze subtly rested on Shi Nian’s face: "Arrange it as you like... I trust—that both of your tastes."
