Chapter 97 - 097

Chapter 97: 097

The following morning Nita was woken up by several knocks on the door.

She had spent the night in the living room and left the room for Tristan as she was scared to trigger him again.

She groaned as she waddled to the door still groggy from sleep, her eyes snapped wide open as the door almost flew out of her hand before she had a chance to open it properly.

Alpha Raul staggered inside while limping badly, still wearing clothes from the previous day.

Nita turned towards him with raised brows and her heart beating like it was ready to jump out of her chest.

He didn’t say a word and just fell heavily on the chair, while groaning in pain.

She took a reluctant step towards him as he lay down with his hand over his eyes as if in pain.

"Pack a bag, we are leaving now". He said suddenly, startling her.

"Leaving where, and to where?". She straightened.

A minute of silence passed before he sat up again.

He looked up at her as she stood studying him.

"I can’t find them anymore, they left". He said with difficulties as his eyes dart around and a frown creases his brows.

His jaw clenched and he cussed under his breath.

"Who?

I think you need to say something except a few words if you want me to understand". She replied with a shrug.

"For now, you do as I say. Pack a bag and wake him up too". Alpha Raul snapped.

He had spent the whole night driving around searching and looking around.

After he left Azier and Adriana the previous day with Tristan, his plan with Alpha Mitch was to go back for him but to his surprise all of them were no longer in that house.

Only the house sits there, no one was inside and he had driven around looking for clues on how to find them. But none point to an answer or to the Alpha himself.

Nita moved to work after she realised he wasn’t joking with his words.

She opened the door to the room and saw the bed empty.

"Tristan?" She called and went into the bathroom to check him but that was also empty.

A few hairs on the back of her raised as she noticed the opened window.

Shaking her head, she slowly moved to look outside and a gasp left her mouth.

Several blankets had been tied together to form a long rope and it was tied to the leg of the bed and the other end led outside.

"Oh no!" She exclaimed and hurried back to the living room.

Alpha Raul looked at her with bored eyes as she looked at him while shuffling on her feet.

"He is gone". She said softly with a lot of difficulties.

"Huh?" Alpha Raul shot up from the chair and hurried inside the room to see it empty. His eyes immediately went to the opened window.

"Shit!" He cussed and hurried outside the house but deep down he knew it was a little too late to start finding the Omega but he ran despite the pain that traveled up his legs from tiredness.

Nita hurried after him, wearing her pajamas and not giving a care about her appearance but he told her to go back inside to wait for him.

He gripped the steering till his knuckles turned white and sigh heavily as he drove slowly through the early morning to look for the Omega.

"How ironic that I spent the night searching for the Alpha and the following for the Omega."

He thought angrily but he kept his eyes on the road nevertheless.

***

Contrary to what Alpha Raul and Nita assumed, Tristan left the night before when Nita was long asleep and everywhere was quiet.

And another thing they failed to pay attention to was the slight change in the usually quiet Omega.

The only Tristan had on his mine as he desperately tied the blankets together was that he needed to get back to his Alpha.

It was like he was out of his mind and didn’t even mind the cold as his feet hit the ground after he managed to climb down.

He had wandered off for almost an hour with no sense of direction when someone stopped him suddenly.

"Tristan?" Trevor called skeptically as he parked his car to block him.

Tristan looked at him with a frown as if trying to remember who he was.

Trevor slowly moved towards him as he noticed his strange condition.

"Where are your shoes?" He asked, looking down at his bare feet on the cold ground.

"Shoes". Tristan echoed and looked down at his own feet. Like they were an extension of his body he had no idea were his.

"Are you all alone here?" Trevor asked and looked around but no one was around any close distance to him.

"Come inside the car with me". Trevor said gently and pointed to the car.

Although he was unsure, he immediately could tell that something was wrong with him although he had no idea what.

Tristan looked at the car and back ahead and slowly shook his head.

"I must go to him". He said while shaking his head. His brown eyes were wide and teary.

"Who?" Trevor thought with a frown, but he nodded at him instead.

"Yes, you will go to him. Let me take you there". He offered and Tristan finally looked at him.

Trevor pointed at the car and Tristan slowly moved towards it, in small baby steps.

Trevor looked down at his feet and noticed that they were cuts and trembling.

Lifting him off the ground, he carried him inside the car and buckled the seat belt. He sighed in relief after he had been successfully tucked in the car.

He started the car and drove away but even before five minutes, Tristan had drifted off in sleep.

His heart tugged painfully at the gauntness of his face.

"He was fine just a few days ago". He muttered under his breath.
