"Do you want me to go with you?"
Upon hearing this, Feng Sen's eyes widened abruptly. After calling out "Dad," he slowly turned around and met his father's gaze. "It was unintentional."
"What was unintentional?" Feng Dad asked.
"I..." Feng Sen blinked unnaturally and gave a dry laugh. "I didn't mean to call Mom. I was just worried about her, and of course, I'm worried about my brother too."
"I know. You go ahead." Feng Dad's expression remained unchanged, and he spoke gently.
"Dad, you and Mom fought..."
"I've thought about it. My fight with her is between us, and it has nothing to do with you. No matter what, she's still your mother. If I didn't let you talk to her, wouldn't that..." Feng Dad reached out and placed a hand on Feng Sen's shoulder. "Make me seem too childish."
"Mom is precisely that kind of childish person." Feng Sen, moved by his father's words, spoke the truth.
Feng Dad, thinking of the situation with Feng Qishi inside, couldn't bring himself to smile. He said, "Alright, go ahead. While you're out, grab some food for your brother and sister on your way back."
"And you?" Feng Sen looked at Feng Dad and asked softly.
"Me! You don't need to worry about me." Feng Dad finished speaking and turned away.
Feng Sen watched Feng Dad's retreating back and said, "I'm going." He then turned and left.
Feng Dad returned to the hospital room and said to Feng Feng, "Your second brother went to get food. After eating here, he'll go back to rest."
"Dad, what happened to Third Brother?" Feng Feng stood up and walked to Feng Dad, asking.
Feng Dad glanced at Feng Qishi, who lay motionless on the hospital bed, and said, "I don't know. The doctors haven't told me clearly, but his condition is stable for now."
"Dad, he fell from such a height. For him to be fine..." Feng Yan stood up and forced a smile. "How is that possible?"
"It's better if he's fine. It just proves your brother has a strong life force," Feng Dad said, then stepped forward and sat on the sofa.
Mu Anxiao did not pay attention to their words and continued to cast spells to save Feng Qishi.
In the cafeteria, Feng Sen approached his mother and sat down. "Mom, aren't you going to see Feng Qishi?" he asked as he sat.
Feng Mom looked down at the plastic cup in front of her and asked, "How is Feng Qishi?"
"The doctor said he's stable, but I find it very strange." Feng Sen said calmly.
"What's strange?" Feng Mom turned her head to look at Feng Sen.
Feng Sen thought for a moment and said, "He fell from such a height and is fine. How is that possible?"
"You mean, could it be an internal problem, something hidden?" Feng Mom asked with a serious expression.
Feng Sen nodded. "It's possible. We'll have to observe him further, but I hope Feng Qishi is alright."
Feng Mom let out an "Mm" and picked up her cup to take a sip of water.
"Mom, what do you want to eat? I'll go buy it for you." Feng Sen stood up.
"Your father already made me full with his anger," Feng Mom replied.
Feng Sen put a hand on Feng Mom's shoulder. "It's okay, Dad is just worried too. I'm going to get food for Feng Feng and the others. You come with me later."
"I'm not going." Feng Mom refused.
"Not going?" Feng Sen's lips curved into a slight smile. "Then you should go home."
"It's none of your business," Feng Mom glared at Feng Sen.
Feng Sen smiled faintly. "Alright, I know you want to know about Feng Qishi's condition too. To be honest, you have a tough exterior but a soft heart. Your eyes are all red; it's obvious you've been crying." He pointed at Feng Mom's eyes.
Feng Mom touched her eyes unnaturally and said, "Hurry up and go."
"Alright." Feng Sen agreed, then turned to busy himself.
Feng Mom looked down at the water in her cup, thinking about Feng Qishi's behavior that morning. She murmured, "That child has tolerated me for too long. These past ten years, have I... have I been too excessive?" As she spoke, she closed her eyes.
In the hospital room, Mu Anxiao unleashed her final move, completely repairing Feng Qishi's damaged internal organs.
"It's finally done." She withdrew her hand, exhaled a breath, her forehead covered in sweat, and conjured a pill from her palm. Hesitating, she murmured to herself, "If I give this to him now, they will surely be suspicious. What should I do?"
"Just break one of his legs."
Hearing this, Mu Anxiao turned her head to look at the large-headed, chubby demon who had reappeared. "Is that real?"
The large-headed, chubby demon said seriously, "What's not real about it? Actually, to tell you the truth, that building isn't that tall, only five stories. Before you cast your spell, he was caught by the railing above, and then you slowed him down. As he fell, he landed on a bush and rolled to the ground. These two times were minor impacts. Saying he had a fractured leg wouldn't be suspicious, would it?"
"This..."
"Don't 'this.' The wind was strong earlier, there were many factors involved. Besides, even if it came up, people would say he was lucky. Who would think as much as his family?" The large-headed, chubby demon interrupted.
Mu Anxiao found the large-headed, chubby demon's words reasonable, so she said nothing more, put away the pill, walked to the foot of the bed, and looked at Feng Qishi's leg. "I'm sorry." With that, she brought her palm down on Feng Qishi's leg.
Following this, Feng Qishi suddenly woke up.
Mu Anxiao withdrew her hand and breathed a sigh of relief.
The large-headed, chubby demon looked at Mu Anxiao with astonishment as she sighed and asked, "How much strength did you use?"
"I used a few tenths of my magic. Now he can go for surgery." Mu Anxiao calmly glanced at her palm.
Feng Qishi, covered in a sheen of sweat, looked at Mu Anxiao and said silently, "Consider yourself lucky."
Feng Dad and the others were startled by Feng Qishi's sudden awakening. Feng Yan hurried to the bedside and pressed the call button.
A few hours later, Feng Qishi was wheeled out of the operating room. Feng Dad looked at Feng Qishi's face and said, "The child is truly pitiful."
"He's actually quite lucky. It's good that only his leg was broken," Feng Mom said, standing beside Feng Dad.
Mu Anxiao looked at Feng Mom's tactless words and then at Feng Dad's frozen expression. "She really doesn't know how to talk."
"She doesn't know how to talk," the small demon agreed.
The large-headed, chubby demon, however, thought differently from the small demon. "When Feng Qishi gets up, he's definitely not going to let this go. It takes a hundred days to heal from bone injuries. He's a high school senior; you've really caused him a lot of trouble."
Mu Anxiao glanced at the large-headed, chubby demon beside her and thought, *Now he won't be able to leave with me.* Then she said, "It's okay. It's more realistic this way, just as you said."
"You're amazing. The amount of your magic you used is exactly the degree of injury from his fall. Impressive." The large-headed, chubby demon gave a thumbs-up.
Mu Anxiao snorted lightly, and then, as she turned, she suddenly felt a dull ache in her chest. She stopped, bending slightly to place a hand over her heart.
"What's wrong?" the large-headed, chubby demon asked.
"I just transferred a bit of my immortal power to him, and I feel a bit uncomfortable," Mu Anxiao said, gasping for breath.
"You used pure immortal power to save him?" the small demon exclaimed.
"Otherwise? His soul was already coming out, which shows he was beyond saving. If I didn't use pure immortal power," Mu Anxiao gasped for breath again, "and only used that immortal pill, his internal organs wouldn't have been repaired at all."
