Chapter 397 Calculating His Own Advantage

The little goblin blinked his eyes and said, "Um, the people over there just said there's a surveillance camera on the roof."

"What?" Mu Anxiao exclaimed.

The big-headed fat goblin nudged the little goblin with his elbow and chuckled, "But don't worry, that camera broke yesterday."

"You scared me to death," Mu Anxiao breathed a sigh of relief.

"Heh heh," the little goblin giggled foolishly and asked, "Um, I wanted to ask, didn't Feng Qishi suffer internal injuries? Why has he recovered so quickly?"

"He's no relation to you, why are you asking so much?" Mu Anxiao asked, her gaze darting away.

The big-headed fat goblin peeked at Mu Anxiao's evasive eyes and said, "Did you cast a spell to create an illusion?"

"No," Mu Anxiao turned her head away.

"No means yes," the big-headed fat goblin declared firmly.

Mu Anxiao squinted sideways and said, "If I hadn't done this, Feng Qishi would have had to undergo surgery, and then I wouldn't have been able to save him with my magic."

"Aren't you delaying his recovery by doing that!" the little goblin glared at Mu Anxiao.

Mu Anxiao, for reasons unknown, felt a pang of guilt as they asked these questions: "He's just unconscious right now. I'll just go and do it myself later."

The big-headed fat goblin looked at Mu Anxiao's nonchalant expression and said seriously, "His soul has already drifted out. The doctors can only say he's out of danger, but they can't figure out anything else. His family is very worried."

"I'm going," Mu Anxiao said. After confirming there were no people or surveillance cameras outside, she turned invisible and left.

Just as the big-headed fat goblin was about to follow, the little goblin grabbed his arm: "Boss, weren't we supposed to ask about the master? Why did we... suddenly start talking about this?"

"I can't do something as despicable as withholding information. Anyway... let her resolve her own issues first," the big-headed fat goblin said, placing a hand on the little goblin's shoulder.

The little goblin nodded: "Right, the bigger picture is more important."

A short while later, Mu Anxiao arrived at Feng Qishi's ward at top speed. His family was all there. Feng Feng was in tears, and Feng Ba watched Feng Qishi's bandaged head with a heartache, saying, "Child, why were you so foolish?"

"Dad, he said he wanted to do a paternity test with Mom, and then Mom said a few words to him. This whole thing, it really isn't..."

Feng Sen stopped mid-sentence. Feng Yan forcefully pulled his arm and said, "Let Mom think for herself. She was indeed too harsh on Feng Qishi."

"But..."

"If you mention your mother again, you can get out," Feng Ba snarled at Feng Sen, turning his head.

Feng Sen pursed his lips.

Mu Anxiao glanced at them and walked to Feng Qishi's bedside. Looking down at the red glow emanating from his chest, she said, "Wolf demon, you're quite ruthless."

"No wonder you had to do this."

Hearing this, Mu Anxiao turned to look at Feng Qishi, who was staring at her, and said, "Go back to your body."

"I can go back, but you have to promise me that you'll take me with you when I'm better," Feng Qishi said with a rather smug expression.

Mu Anxiao stared at Feng Qishi's face helplessly for a moment, saying, "Your calculations are quite good, aren't they?"

"Of course. And the wolf demon actually helped me," Feng Qishi smirked.

"Take back what you said," Mu Anxiao said, pointing at Feng Qishi's mouth.

Feng Qishi chuckled and covered his mouth.

Mu Anxiao glared at him and then looked down at his body, saying, "You being here proves you're not dead." With that, she suddenly extended two fingers and pressed them against Feng Qishi's chest.

"Make it clear, this isn't considered suicide on my part," Feng Qishi said hastily.

"It's not. It's homicide," Mu Anxiao replied casually and began to channel her energy.

Feng Qishi smiled faintly, crossed his arms in front of him, admired his own face, and said, "I couldn't tell in the mirror, but looking at myself like this, I'm quite handsome."

Mu Anxiao was simultaneously healing his internal injuries with her magic and said, "Once you're done admiring yourself, hurry back."

"Okay, I'll go back."

Just as Feng Qishi was about to leap back, the wolf demon suddenly appeared behind him, saying, "I didn't expect this, Mu Anxiao. You actually have this ability."

Feng Qishi's expression stiffened.

Mu Anxiao frowned and squinted sideways, saying, "Wolf demon, if you dare to make a move, I'll finish you."

"I'm not that idle. I just came to see you," the wolf demon said, arms crossed, looking at Feng Qishi who was staring at him. "Alright, hurry back. What are you looking at?"

"Weren't you going to kill me?" Feng Qishi asked.

"Who wants to kill you? I just wanted to see if you still have Shen Yan's memories," the wolf demon said, leaning in to meet Feng Qishi's eyes. "Hmm, from my observation, you're just an ordinary mortal. Your soul is quite ethereal, but that depends on whether someone accepts you." He glanced meaningfully in Mu Anxiao's direction.

Mu Anxiao, listening to the wolf demon's words, couldn't calm down and said, "Bastard, if you say one more word, I'll kick you to death."

"Still calling yourself 'lao niang' (this old lady)? My mother is much better looking than you," the wolf demon said, turned around, and disappeared.

Mu Anxiao tilted her head, looking at Feng Qishi's suddenly dazed figure, and said, "What are you looking at? Do you want to go with him?"

"No, no, no," Feng Qishi shook his head.

"Since you don't, hurry back," Mu Anxiao said impatiently.

Feng Qishi uttered an "oh" and returned, following the blue light that emerged from his body.

Mu Anxiao closed her eyes.

Feng Feng sat on the sofa, weeping. Feng Yan comforted her by patting her shoulder.

Then, Feng Feng said, "Brother, the doctors can't figure out his problem. What should we do?"

"Don't worry. Since they can't figure it out, it means there's nothing wrong," Feng Yan said, sitting beside Feng Feng.

Feng Feng rested her head on Feng Yan's shoulder.

Feng Sen carefully glanced at Feng Ba, who was still staring at Feng Qishi, then thought for a moment before turning to leave the ward. He took out his phone and dialed Feng Mu's number.

Feng Ba glanced at Feng Yan and Feng Feng, then turned and walked out of the ward.

Outside the ward, Feng Sen listened to the ringtone on the phone, his heart growing anxious.

Before the ringtone ended, Feng Mu answered: "Hello, why are you calling?"

Feng Sen's expression became excited as he heard Feng Mu's voice from the other end. He then covered the phone with his hand and asked in a low voice, "Mom, where are you?"

"You don't need to know," Feng Mu replied angrily.

Feng Sen frowned and said softly, "Mom, I'm on your side. Tell me, where are you?"

"I'm..." Feng Mu said, then suddenly started to cry, "I'm in the cafeteria."

"The hospital cafeteria?" Feng Sen confirmed again.

"Mm," Feng Mu replied and hung up the phone.

Feng Sen lowered his phone and then frowned, feeling that something was amiss, muttering, "The cafeteria, it should be on the first floor."
