Chapter 445 Playing Cards

"Mu Shazi, what are you talking about?" Feng Qishi asked.

Mu Anxiao stared ahead and said, "That's it, he's dead." With that, she hung up the phone.

The woman took half a step back.

Mu Anxiao lowered her phone, turned to the woman, and said, "I've already sent people from downstairs to find him. Now, take me to find the Chihuahua."

"How should I know where he is?" the woman frowned.

"Doesn't your sorcery have a tracking feature?" Mu Anxiao pointed at the woman's finger, which was glowing red.

Upon hearing this, the woman looked down at her finger. She clasped her hands together intentionally, and the red light disappeared.

"No, it's just residual warmth," the woman said in a low voice.

"Your magic is more potent than mine, so why do you need my help?" Mu Anxiao asked coldly.

"Mine is just brute force, it can only attack, not deliver a fatal blow. But you're different, you're an immortal, so you can," the woman explained.

"Then can you take me to find the Chihuahua?" Mu Anxiao asked.

"No, but I can take you to find the swindler," the woman said excitedly.

"Originally, I didn't intend to bother with that Chihuahua. But now I've changed my mind. His price is higher," Mu Anxiao said, pointing at the woman. "Are you coming with me, or are you leaving? You choose."

"Are you going with the people from downstairs?" the woman asked.

"Of course. They just made it clear: if I find the Chihuahua first, I'll get paid. If you follow me, I can give you a little," Mu Anxiao said, pinching the tips of her index and thumb together. "A tiny bit."

"You go ahead. I'm not interested in money," the woman smiled.

"If you're not interested, then forget it. I'll wait for you here in a couple of days. You're not allowed to follow me now," Mu Anxiao pointed at the woman.

The woman nodded, took a step back, jumped up, and disappeared.

After the woman had completely vanished, Mu Anxiao took the black mass from her ear and snorted, "Swindler, just as I suspected." She then picked up her phone. xxs1

In Hu Yuan's ward, Feng Qishi held his cards, looking dejectedly at the people waiting for him to play. He said, "What's going on here?"

"What's wrong?" Hu Yuan asked, his face covered in papers.

"Mu Anxiao was talking strangely. She said," Feng Qishi blinked and glanced at the big-headed fat demon, "that Chihuahua was seriously injured, and something about killing him, and other things I didn't understand."

"Chihuahua is injured?" the big-headed fat demon exclaimed, spreading all his cards on the table.

Feng Qishi glanced at the big-headed fat demon's notoriously bad hand and cleared his throat. "I was just saying it casually, don't worry."

"He's my brother, he..."

"Chihuahua can't be in trouble. If he were, I would have felt something," Hu Yuan said, looking at the big-headed fat demon.

Hearing Hu Yuan say he was fine, the big-headed fat demon lowered his voice, "Master, you think Chihuahua will be okay?"

"Mu Anxiao might be creating a diversion. She said those things intentionally," Feng Qishi said, glancing again at the big-headed fat demon's terrible hand. "Ah, let's not talk about that. Do you know how to play cards?"

Upon hearing this, the big-headed fat demon looked up at Feng Qishi and blinked. "I don't."

"You don't?" Feng Qishi sneered. "Then why are you here joining in? I've been winning all along, it's so boring."

"I just wasn't playing at my best," Hu Yuan said.

"Me neither," Zhang Yan said, staring intently at his own bad hand.

Feng Qishi snorted, picked up his phone, and answered, "Hello, what did you mean just now?"

"Is the stray dog with you?" Mu Anxiao, thinking the small demon wasn't with the big-headed fat demon, assumed the latter might have gone to find Hu Yuan.

"Yes," Feng Qishi replied.

"Good. Tell him Chihuahua is fine, and don't let him worry," Mu Anxiao said.

"How did you know I would say that?" Feng Qishi asked in surprise, glancing at the big-headed fat demon who was staring at him.

"Your mouth is so long, it would be against natural law not to say it," Mu Anxiao said blandly.

"You really know me well," Feng Qishi said in a low voice.

"Alright, I'm coming over now," Mu Anxiao said, then hung up the phone.

Feng Qishi put down his phone and said to the big-headed fat demon, "Don't worry, he's fine."

"That's good," the big-headed fat demon smiled and pointed at the cards. "Let's continue."

"Let's not," Feng Qishi refused.

"There's nothing else to do here. Your legs aren't good, and his body isn't good. Let's not play this," Zhang Yan smiled. "What should we play instead?"

Feng Qishi found Zhang Yan's point reasonable and compromised. "Alright then, I'll stay with you for a while, and coincidentally, teach that guy." He pointed at the big-headed fat demon.

Ten minutes later, Feng Qishi looked helplessly at the big-headed fat demon, who kept winning. "As the saying goes, 'When the student surpasses the master, the master goes hungry.' How come I..." He pouted and annoyed, threw the cards onto the bed. "I keep losing."

"My condolences," Hu Yuan patted Feng Qishi's hand.

Feng Qishi sighed and said, "Why didn't you give me money when I won?" He shifted his gaze to Zhang Yan's face.

Zhang Yan smiled. "It can't be helped. Your luck is just bad." As he spoke, he counted the few cents in his hand.

Feng Qishi looked at Zhang Yan's smug expression and, even more annoyed, threw his head back and shouted, "I'm so miserable!"

Unexpectedly, his cry attracted a nurse passing by the ward. The nurse walked into the room and looked at Feng Qishi's back in surprise. "What are you doing here?"

Upon hearing this, Feng Qishi frowned, turned his head to look at the nurse who was taking care of him, and gave a dry smile. "Just visiting, hello there."

"I knew you'd run off somewhere. Go back, it's time for your shot."

"Didn't I already have one?" Feng Qishi asked.

"You're confused. You had one yesterday, but not today," the nurse said, stepping forward and looking at Hu Yuan and Zhang Yan. "Are you short of a player?"

"Yes," Zhang Yan nodded.

"I'll come play with you later," the nurse said.

Zhang Yan heard this and quickly waved his hands. "No, no, it's alright."

Hu Yuan glanced at Feng Qishi, who was being held by the nurse. "I need to rest," he said, quickly lying down.

Zhang Yan stood up and pointed at Hu Yuan. "I'll stay with him. I'm not playing anymore."

"Yes, rest," the nurse said, looking at Zhang Yan and Hu Yuan respectively, then pushed Feng Qishi out of the ward.

Hu Yuan breathed a sigh of relief.

Zhang Yan looked at the big-headed fat demon. "You're quite lucky."

"It's good to be a demon," the big-headed fat demon smiled, then turned to Hu Yuan. "Master, are you feeling unwell?"

Hu Yuan smiled. "No, it's been a long time since I felt this way."

"Well, as long as Master is happy," the big-headed fat demon said obediently.
