"You said you wouldn't get involved in my affairs before, why the sudden change of heart?" the Rabbit Queen asked cautiously.
Piao said, "If you feel it's sudden, or anything like that, you can just pretend I never said it."
"No," the Rabbit Queen shook her head, "I'm just surprised, but surprise is only a small part; happiness is the larger part."
Piao looked at the Rabbit Queen's genuinely happy expression and asked, "Is there anything you need my help with now?"
"No," the Rabbit Queen shook her head.
"Good, tell me if anything comes up," Piao said.
"Mm, right, are you getting married tomorrow?" the Rabbit Queen remembered Piao and Mu Anxiao's situation and asked.
Piao thought for a moment and said, "I'll tell you tomorrow."
"Mm, then I'll escort you," the Rabbit Queen said with a smile.
Piao nodded and, under the Rabbit Queen's gaze, left the room.
Standing at the door, the Rabbit Queen watched Piao completely disappear into the night before her face fell. She glared at the first maid rabbit and turned to walk back into the room.
The first maid rabbit quickly closed the door.
In Yan's room, Mu Anxiao was curious about the warming relationship between Piao and the Rabbit Queen.
"I'll go take a look," she said.
Feng Qishi held his teacup, looking at Mu Anxiao's gossipy and curious expression, and said, "What are you going there for? Don't tell me you're afraid Piao will develop feelings for that Rabbit Queen and abandon you." He took a sip of tea as he spoke.
"What do you mean by that?" Mu Anxiao's eyes widened.
"Nothing," Feng Qishi shook his head.
"Nothing," Mu Anxiao frowned, "What does nothing mean?"
"Why are you asking so much?" Feng Qishi retorted, staring at Mu Anxiao.
"What do you mean?" Mu Anxiao was determined to get to the bottom of it.
"What I mean is," Feng Qishi put down his teacup, "curiosity killed the cat. Don't be sad if you go."
"Why would I be sad?" Mu Anxiao was even more confused.
"Think about it, Piao, whom you're going to marry, embraced that rabbit, and then you saw it, and you wouldn't..."
"Are you sick?" Mu Anxiao said disdainfully.
Upon hearing this, Feng Qishi shut his mouth.
Mu Anxiao glared at Feng Qishi and said, "How should I put it? I regret what I said to Piao. What if they team up, won't we be finished?"
"You only thought of that now? What were you doing before!" Feng Qishi said nonchalantly.
"So, I have to go see," Mu Anxiao said.
"If you go and they discover you're eavesdropping after they've cooperated, you'll be finished," Feng Qishi warned.
Mu Anxiao thought for a moment and said, "What you're saying makes sense, but I still want to go."
"Go ahead, I won't collect your body," Feng Qishi said, picking up a piece of fruit.
"It's okay, I'll be careful," Mu Anxiao said, turning and walking out of the room.
Immediately, Feng Qishi put down the fruit he was about to put in his mouth, turned to look at Mu Anxiao's retreating figure, and shook his head, "So troublesome." He then glanced at the red-clothed rabbit demon and Yan and said, "When she gets back, don't tell her I followed her."
"You're going to follow her secretly?" the red-clothed rabbit demon asked.
Feng Qishi nodded slightly and quietly followed.
Yan drank his tea.
At this moment, Piao was almost back. However, just as he was about to cross the stone path, he suddenly remembered something and stopped.
At the same time, Mu Anxiao, using the light, saw Piao stop. To avoid being discovered, she quickly squatted down and hid behind a large potted plant.
Ahead, Piao muttered to himself, "Oh dear, how could I forget to ask her when the action is supposed to happen? No, I should go back and ask." Saying this, he turned and went back the way he came.
Seeing this, Mu Anxiao quickly stood up and quietly followed.
Feng Qishi stopped by the potted plant, looked at Mu Anxiao's figure, sighed, and followed.
The Rabbit Queen's room...
"Queen, what did you call me in for?" the first maid rabbit asked, bowing slightly before the wooden couch.
"Tomorrow, have you told all the rabbits about our plan?" the Rabbit Queen asked.
"Reporting to you, Your Majesty, I will go notify everyone immediately," the first maid rabbit replied, her voice trembling.
"When did I tell you to go?" the Rabbit Queen suddenly asked.
"You said to go as soon as it got dark," the first maid rabbit said.
"Why didn't you go during my rest period?" the Rabbit Queen asked.
Hearing the Rabbit Queen's words, and calculating that the Rabbit Queen's rest period was less than half an hour, the first maid rabbit said, "I was wrong."
"If you were wrong, then hurry up and notify them," the Rabbit Queen said coldly.
"Yes," the first maid rabbit nodded slightly, turned, and hurried out of the room.
The Rabbit Queen panted with anger.
Then, as the first maid rabbit was about to pass through the bushes, she happened to encounter three rabbit demons.
"You three, stop," the first maid rabbit called out.
The three rabbit demons stopped in unison and then uniformly greeted, "Greetings, sister."
"Never mind that. We take action tomorrow morning," the first maid rabbit said.
The flowery rabbit demon's eyes lit up, "The Queen is going to deal with humans?"
"Yes, the Queen said to act while the rat demon is still locked up," the first maid rabbit explained in detail.
At the same time, Piao heard their voices. He initially intended to move forward, but upon hearing the word "action," he stopped.
"Does the Great Demon know about this?" the flowery rabbit demon whispered.
"The Queen said that once we occupy the town, we will no longer be in contact with the Great Demon. The Queen recently acquired something from the demon realm. As long as that thing is deployed, even the Great Demon, no matter how powerful, won't be able to find us," the first maid rabbit elaborated.
Piao clenched his fists as he listened to their conversation.
"Is this appropriate?" the second flowery rabbit demon asked.
"What's inappropriate about it? That Great Demon killed so many of our brothers and sisters. I say we shouldn't have any connection with him," the first maid rabbit said earnestly.
"Yes, I think so too," the third flowery rabbit demon agreed.
"Do you know what principle the Great Demon told us?" the first flowery rabbit demon asked.
"What principle?" the first maid rabbit asked.
"No matter how strong he is, he can't defeat our Queen," the first flowery rabbit demon said arrogantly.
"You said it right. The Queen said we should just toy with that fellow," the first maid rabbit said.
"Mm, then we'll help you," the first flowery rabbit demon said.
"That's wonderful," the first maid rabbit smiled.
"Okay, we're going then," the first flowery rabbit demon said.
"Okay."
As the first maid rabbit said "Okay," Piao couldn't help but take a step forward. Just as he was about to take a second step, Mu Anxiao grabbed his arm.
"Don't go," she whispered.
Hearing this, Piao's eyes widened, and he turned to look at Mu Anxiao.
