Chapter 102 A Casual Question

"No need," Shen Yan said, stepping forward to pull Mu Anxiao back. "We're leaving now."

Mu Anxiao, remembering the talk about the girl having an elder sister, shamelessly stepped up beside Shen Yan and said, "Then let's go."

Shen Yan's eyes widened as she turned to look at Mu Anxiao.

Mu Anxiao tilted her head and smiled at Shen Yan.

"Then please," the man said, inclining his body slightly to clear a path.

"Alright," Mu Anxiao said, making herself right at home. She glanced at the girl and boy and walked ahead.

Shen Yan sighed softly and hurried to catch up with Mu Anxiao, whispering, "Are you crazy?"

"You'll definitely like the women here."

"I don't," Shen Yan said, annoyed.

"Oh, come on," Mu Anxiao patted Shen Yan's shoulder. "We've finally come to a place of cultivation. This is your chance. If you miss it, who knows how long you'll have to wait."

"You just said you wanted to leave with me, and now you're going back on your word. Mu Anxiao, you're so fickle," Shen Yan said as they walked.

"I was worried they'd beat me to death just now, so I went along with you. Now that I'm fine, naturally, I," Mu Anxiao pursed her lips and smiled, "don't need to escape for now."

"You'll regret this," Shen Yan said coldly.

"We'll talk about regret when it happens. For now, I need to sort out your business first," Mu Anxiao said, clutching Shen Yan's sleeve tightly.

The man followed behind them, watching their retreating backs, and called out, "Two."

Then, Mu Anxiao and Shen Yan stopped simultaneously, turning back to the man. In unison, they said, "Something wrong?" After speaking, Shen Yan glared at Mu Anxiao, who then pursed her lips.

The man smiled. "Do you know the way?"

"This?" Shen Yan hesitated, then turned to look at Mu Anxiao and asked, "Do you know the way?"

"I don't," Mu Anxiao said calmly.

"If you don't know the way, why are you walking?" Shen Yan asked.

Mu Anxiao raised her hand and scratched her forehead. "No, he told me to go ahead first, so I walked in a direction." She said, lowering her hand and turning to the man who stood motionless. "Why didn't you say anything and just watched us walk forward? You followed."

"I did try to tell you, but you didn't listen to me," the man said, sounding wronged.

Mu Anxiao looked at Shen Yan and pointed at the man. "Did he say anything?"

"How should I know? You were shouting so loudly."

"You blame me?" Mu Anxiao pointed to herself.

"Who else would I blame?" Shen Yan said coldly.

Mu Anxiao was somewhat afraid of Shen Yan. Seeing Shen Yan's icy expression, she pursed her lips and smiled. "Alright, it's my fault then."

"It is your fault," Shen Yan stated firmly.

"Yes, yes, yes, it's mine," Mu Anxiao conceded reluctantly, then turned to the man and asked, "By the way, have your junior sisters arrived yet?"

"Why are you asking that?" A hint of defensiveness flashed in the man's eyes.

Mu Anxiao looked calmly into the man's eyes, then pondered her previous words. She suddenly realized her question was too pointed, so she burst out laughing. "Oh, I just meant it's more lively with more people."

"I see," the man said, visibly relieved.

After confirming her assumption was correct, Mu Anxiao turned to Shen Yan, who looked at her inexplicably, and asked, "What do you think of him?"

The man frowned, his gaze shifting to Mu Anxiao. He paused and asked, "What do you mean by that question?"

"What are you doing?" Shen Yan asked coldly.
