Chapter 101 Boasting

"Yes," Shen Yan nodded.

"What about yours?" Mu Anxiao turned her head and asked.

"My spells can only be used by myself. If I bring you, it won't work," Shen Yan explained.

"Is that so," Mu Anxiao said, and quietly reached out to grab Shen Yan's arm. "Then you can stay here."

Shen Yan glanced at the hand Mu Anxiao was tightly holding his arm with. "Let go."

"No, you abandoned me back in the well. This time, I absolutely won't let go."

Shen Yan had almost forgotten that Mu Anxiao hadn't apologized until she brought it up. He frowned slightly, grabbed Mu Anxiao's wrist, and said, "Have you forgotten something?"

Mu Anxiao gave a dry laugh. "Brother, at this critical juncture, don't joke around, okay?"

"I'm very serious," Shen Yan stared at Mu Anxiao.

Mu Anxiao put on a show of innocence, pouting her lips. "What are you talking about? I really don't remember."

"Apologize," Shen Yan said coldly, spitting out two words.

Instantly, Mu Anxiao's memory was jogged.

"No," she dodged his gaze. "It's been so long, why do you still remember this? I think we shouldn't bring up past matters; it'll hurt our feelings."

"Who has feelings with you?" Shen Yan looked at Mu Anxiao with disdain.

Mu Anxiao giggled foolishly. "I've never stayed with anyone for so long. You're the first, so this is called," she punched Shen Yan's chest with her fist, "brotherhood."

"Mu Anxiao, can you stop acting like my brother at these times? You never say anything nice about me on normal days," Shen Yan said, separating Mu Anxiao's hand from his arm.

Mu Anxiao, afraid Shen Yan would trick her into leaving, quickly grabbed his arm again.

"Mu Anxiao," Shen Yan called out helplessly.

Mu Anxiao pursed her lips and looked at the two people opposite them, who were upset about this matter. She deliberately asked, "Oh, what's wrong with you two?"

"Can you say less?" Shen Yan reminded her helplessly.

Mu Anxiao ignored Shen Yan and looked mockingly at the two people opposite them who were casting spells repeatedly, but to no avail.

"How could this be?" the girl said, looking at her palm.

Mu Anxiao's eyes darted around, and she deliberately said, "I sealed your spells."

Shen Yan looked down at Mu Anxiao's profile and sighed helplessly.

The girl looked up at Mu Anxiao and said angrily, "You cheated."

"My magic is powerful. If I were to really duel with you," Mu Anxiao unconsciously loosened her grip on Shen Yan's arm and took a step forward, "your entire cultivation sect might have exploded."

Shen Yan was speechless at Mu Anxiao's bragging.

The boy let out a cold snort. "Shorty, you... stop being so arrogant here, I..."

He was interrupted halfway by a man almost as tall as Mu Anxiao standing at the door, looking displeased. "Junior brother, the way you speak is going too far."

Following the voice, Mu Anxiao turned to look at the man in front of the door, who appeared a few years older than the girl. Then she looked at the boy opposite her, whose face had darkened, and frowned.

"Say less," Shen Yan reminded her from behind.

Mu Anxiao took half a step back and stopped speaking.

Immediately after, the man walked into the room, glanced at the boy who was looking down, and cupped his hands. "Greetings, both of you."

Shen Yan nodded politely.

Mu Anxiao smiled, mimicking Shen Yan.

"Master says for you to go to the main hall for breakfast."
