Chapter 424: Ch-424: Quest Completed

Wang Ming closed the screen in front of him, then looked at the titans with a cold expression as he gripped the Abyssal Dagger tightly.

"Concealed Dagger Strikes," Wang Ming muttered as he leapt toward the nearest titan without making the slightest sound. In the next instant, he unleashed his attack.

The titans, frustrated at being unable to locate him, turned their attention toward the other humans, preparing to attack them in hopes of forcing Wang Ming out and was about rush forward. But before they could advance—

ROAR!

Their heads snapped back as an anguished cry erupted from one of their own. They saw the Titan as hundreds of invisible slashes appeared across the titan’s right arm, which instantly disintegrated into dust, leaving no chance for regeneration. Shocked, the others watched as the same thing happened to its left arm.

A chill ran down their spines. They could not see or sense the attack, and no matter where they looked, there was no trace of the person they were looking for.

Thud!

The crippled titan collapsed onto its back as slashes tore through both its legs, which also crumbled into dust. In a panic, the remaining titans watched as more invisible slashes appeared all over its body, until the entire titan disintegrated into nothingness.

"This technique is really dangerous," Wang Ming whispered in a low voice, watching the last remnants of the corpse scatter into dust.

ROAR!

The remaining titans, now filled with fear, had no choice but to redirect their killing intent toward the other group, unable to track Wang Ming’s presence.

"Oh no you don’t," Wang Ming’s eyes narrowed as he raised the Abyssal Dagger.

"Thousand Swords of Concealed Torment."

Pitch-black smoke surged outward, expanding rapidly before condensing into thousands of enormous swords of pure darkness. Each blade floated in the air around him, radiating a sinister, corrosive aura.

"Go," Wang Ming commanded, pointing the Abyssal Dagger toward the titans.

In unison, the swords lunged forward, tearing through the air toward their targets.

Meanwhile

Boom! Boom!

Min Li, Wu Jing, and the others were locked in a desperate fight with the giants. They had managed to kill a few, but more than a dozen still remained.

"Huff... huff... damn... I’m almost spent," Jiang Yao said with a grim look, glancing at the other teammates who were also exhausted fighting the Ancient giants. They were drenched in sweat but still in better condition than her, able to keep fighting compared to her.

"My spiritual energy won’t last much longer," Wu Jing said with a frown as she hurled another attack toward a giant.

"Huh?" Min Li gasped. The giant charging toward her suddenly stopped, and the corpses of the other giants froze mid-fight. They didn’t know why, but the brief pause gave them a moment to catch their breath which was good news for them.

Then something startling happened: the giants that had been fighting, controlled by the black smoke and their instincts, suddenly turned and ran in the opposite direction as if fleeing from something.

Rumble

The ground shook violently. At first, they thought Wang Ming was still fighting. They couldn’t see the battle, as it had moved some distance away—Wang Ming clearly didn’t want to get caught in the titans’ attacks.

"Damn, look!" Qing Na shouted with a grim voice, as dozens of titans charged toward their direction.

"What the... did that guy just die?" Mui Ling thought, panicked. If the titans were here, that must mean Wang Ming had been defeated—or worse, killed.

"Impossible," Min Li said instantly, shaking her head. She knew how strong Wang Ming was. Even Wu Jing nodded, sharing absolute confidence in him.

The others, however, were not reassured. They suspected Min Li was just denying the outcome because Wang Ming was her partner.

Gulp

Everyone swallowed a mouthful of saliva, overwhelmed by despair as they realized they couldn’t win against the titans and would likely die. The masked person clenched his hands and, after hesitating for a few seconds, brought out a black orb—but then suddenly...

"Heavens, how is this possible?" Qing Na shouted as she saw the titans charging toward them. Cuts appeared across their bodies, and the injured areas began to dissipate into dust. More and more cuts kept forming, as if thousands of invisible cultivators were constantly attacking them.

Under their astonished eyes, all the Titans who were about to attack collapsed one by one, turning into dust. Within seconds, every last one of them had vanished.

"Hey, you all look beaten," a voice suddenly sounded near them.

"Ahhhh!" Min Li shrieked in fear as she jumped back, feeling a hand pat her shoulder and a voice whisper into her ear. The sudden sound made everyone else startle as well, and they quickly leapt back, staring at the spot where black smoke surged up from the ground. The smoke twisted and condensed into the silhouette of a figure before slowly revealing Wang Ming.

"Fuck, don’t just suddenly appear when we’re all tense!" Wu Jing snapped as she glared at Wang Ming.

"Tsk, you’re all still fighting? I already finished my fight... huff..." Wang Ming said between pants as he looked at the group in front of him.

’Weak. You’re weak. Your whole family is weak.’ Everyone cursed in their hearts when they heard Wang Ming’s words, veins bulging on their foreheads as they glared at him with dark expressions.

"Can you please speak like a normal human being?" Min Li scolded, glaring at Wang Ming. He raised his hands in mock surrender.

"Oh, look—there are still some alive," Wang Ming remarked as he noticed a few fleeing giants. He raised his dagger, and under everyone’s gaze, invisible cuts began appearing on the ancient giants’ corpses. One by one, they too turned into dust. Once it was done, Wang Ming staggered slightly, feeling his spiritual energy drain.
