Chapter 185: Chapter 185: Dangerous Woman
The next day, Victoria didn’t want Matthias to accompany her to her office. After all, today was her scheduled day at Star Wisdom Studio. Since taking over as president director of D&C Group, she’d had a hard time managing her time. Victoria returned to her work as the owner of an interior design studio to complete all her pending work, though Louis, as usual, was always there to help her.
Victoria sighed resignedly as she stared at the pile of documents that had already made her feel sick. She massaged her aching forehead and spun her chair around repeatedly.
"When can I actually finish all this work?"
Louis immediately picked up the stack of files on the table. "I’ve always wanted to help you. But you always refuse my help."
"Because I don’t want to bother you. I want to do all the work myself."
"That’s why I’ve been wanting to scold you all along. You’re always pushing yourself, but your body can’t handle it!"
"Regarding this, could you please not tell Matthias yet? I want him to focus on work today. He was with me all day yesterday."
"If I were Matthias, I would scold you without hesitation."
Victoria pursed her lips as she stared at the two boxes of brownies Matthias had bought her today. "I suddenly miss him so much. Is this because he accompanied me yesterday?"
"It’s almost lunchtime. You’ll be able to go on a date with him."
Victoria rested her chin on her hands for a moment. Speaking of Louis, she could have asked for his opinion on Fransisca’s true personality, as she had often spoken with him in the past. Could he help her solve the puzzle she still had?
"By the way, are you busy today?"
"No, why?"
"You used to talk to Fransisca quite often, do you think there is something strange about her?"
Louis shook his head nervously. "No. I think she’s always been pretty easygoing with me, even though she hated seeing you start this studio with me."
"Then, when I had the accident, did she ever say anything strange?"
"Why are you suddenly asking this? Hasn’t the real criminal been caught?"
"I actually suspect Gianna wasn’t the culprit."
Louis widened his eyes. "How do you know? Did you see the perpetrator’s face?"
"No. It’s just that I had a strange dream last night. It was about the accident two years ago. I caught a glimpse of the woman. She was wearing green heels."
"But, is that woman Gianna?"
"No. I’ve never seen her wear green heels."
"So, what are you going to do now?"
"For now, I have to start being wary of Fransisca. Yesterday, she even invited me to talk about Matthias."
Louis’s brow furrowed. "Why would she ask about Matthias even though he’s your husband?"
"That’s exactly what makes me feel strange. Why is she so interested in Matthias all of a sudden? And then, she says it with a jealous tone every time she compliments Matthias and my relationship as being so sweet."
"Victoria, I suggest you tell Matthias about this. I’m worried he might trust Fransisca too easily."
"I was actually going to visit Gianna after lunch with Matthias. She’s the only key that will solve the puzzle I’ve been experiencing all this time."
"But, will Gianna help you after you and Matthias cornered her?"
Victoria lifted the corners of her lips confidently. "Don’t worry, I have a trick to get her to cooperate with me. Especially since she seems to have been betrayed by her own daughter."
"Wow, I can’t believe this! It turns out Fransisca is even more cunning than her mother! It was Fransisca who seemed the better one all this time."
"Because Fransisca is a dangerous woman, we must be vigilant from now on. If she suddenly starts talking to you, you must act naturally."

Finally, lunchtime arrived. Having spent the entire day cuddling with her husband, she missed him terribly today. She wanted to extend her lunch date by two hours before she had to finish all her problems. For now, she hadn’t told her husband about her plans.
"Matty, are you going to be home late today?"
"I’ll try to be home on time." His right hand stroked her head. "Did you miss me, Tory?"
"Actually, I wanted to play with you before bed."
"Don’t worry, I won’t be home late. Besides, tomorrow’s a holiday. I promised to take you on a date outside the house."
Victoria smiled sweetly as she finished her lunch. "By the way, I love the brownies you bought today. I already finished the whole box."
Her eyes widened. "Really? Should I buy you another one?"
"No need. I just like those brownies."
"Tory, if you really miss me, you can talk to me directly."
"I miss you. But I don’t like seeing you sacrifice your work for me."
Matthias rolled his eyes. "Don’t worry, I wouldn’t do anything rash like that."
"Well, I can relax now." Victoria took a moment to take a sip of lemon juice. "By the way, Matthias, can I ask you something?"
"What is that thing?"
"Did Fransisca ever talk to you in the past?"
Matthias rested his chin on his hand for a moment. "Actually, I did ask her to walk with me, but we didn’t get too close. Because at the time, I was trying to keep my distance so you wouldn’t get jealous."
"Then, before I left you, did you have a chance to meet her?"
"No. Before your accident, we were dating as usual. But then you suddenly said you had something to take care of."
Victoria furrowed her eyebrows. "Did I say that?"
Matthias scratched his head. "Weren’t you the one who said that in the chat?"
"Actually, I was actually planning to come to you. But on the way, I suddenly had an accident."
"Wait a minute! Why are you just telling me this important thing?"
"What do you mean?"
"When I heard all your words earlier, they were very different from the short messages you gave me."
"Should I tell you the truth? Maybe we can solve this puzzle faster."
