The war at the wedding wasn’t over yet. Matthias still wasn’t satisfied with revealing all of his enemy’s crimes. Moreover, the wedding was being broadcast live, so not only the invited guests in this room witnessed this act of revenge. Everyone watching everywhere could see it as well. This was due to Amber’s over-enthusiastic attitude towards the wedding, even calling in some of her top reporters to broadcast it live.
Matthias played an audio recording of negotiations between Chris and Amber regarding the preparation for a perfume commercial shoot in Guam. It was clear that Amber had deliberately forced Chris to change the female model to Victoria to mislead Matthias. Furthermore, Amber’s goal was to allow Victoria to show off her bikini-clad body and kiss another man, making it appear as if they were filming an adult film.
Of course, hearing this, Victoria became even more furious and wanted to openly pull Amber’s hair. Amber had always tried every possible way to become Matthias’s wife, but she used evil methods.
"This is the actual chronology before I participated in the perfume commercial shoot in Guam with Victoria. Because Victoria signed that irrevocable agreement, I ended up replacing the male model and negotiating with Chris to change the concept of the commercial."
"Matthias, are you planning to bring me down?! Did you fake all those recordings and videos on purpose?!" Amber screamed again, becoming even more frantic.
"Am I that stupid to fake all the recordings I have?" Matthias snickered. "I’m not like you who uses cheap means to bully Victoria."
"Do you realize now that you are openly defending another woman in front of me? That woman is the one who has been deceiving you all this time! You have fallen completely into her trap!"
Matthias laughed awkwardly, his hands on his hips. "You know what else makes me so angry? You’re not just bullying Victoria. You lied to my mother that you were pregnant with me!"
This time it was Lucretia who showed Amber a sarcastic smile. In her heart she will not forgive Amber who has fooled her all this time.
Meanwhile, Amber continued to shake her head and put on a pleading face. "Mom, it’s not what you think!"
"How dare you deceive me all this time! If Matthias hadn’t woken me up, I would still be trapped in your game!"
Matthias pulled out a piece of paper containing Amber’s pregnancy test results. He glared at his enemy. "You’ve been deceiving my mother, always telling her you were pregnant. You weren’t. The pregnancy test you gave my mother was fake. I’ve had an expert verify its authenticity."
The atmosphere inside the venue was now heating up. Lucretia was pleased to see her son so bravely representing her in this act of revenge. She was relieved to finally be rid of the pest that had been ruining her mindset. She couldn’t wait for the party to end so she could invite her daughter-in-law, who was actually there for dinner and to apologize.
"Matthias, why are you doing this to me? I’ve been helping you so much all this time!"
"You’ve been causing me so much trouble all this time! I still remember the dinner party. A hotel maid reported to me that she’d given my coat to a woman who claimed to be Victoria. I never thought you’d lie to the maid and then sleep in my room to make it look like we’d slept together all night!" Matthias took a deep breath and exhaled slowly. "Moreover, my mother entered the hotel room you were staying in. My mother almost believed you’d actually done it to me!"
"The hotel maid deliberately lied to you! Why do you trust strangers more than me?!"
"Because you are just a criminal!"
Everyone agreed with Matthias’ statement, making the venue even more noisy. Meanwhile, Victoria, still watching Matthias build his revenge, her eyes sparkled as she stared at his increasingly charming appearance.
"I’m actually really curious. How long has Matthias been preparing all this?" Ansel said, resting his chin on his hand.
Victoria remained focused on her husband. "Even I, as his wife, didn’t know he’d been secretly preparing for this."
Matthias once again wanted to complete his revenge. Watching his enemy become increasingly helpless after he revealed all his evil deeds, Matthias grew even more satisfied. Furthermore, the look of joy on his wife’s face only made him even more excited.
"As a closing remark to my wedding, I would like to reveal one major crime Amber committed against Victoria." The corners of his lips lifted. "Amber is the murderer who intended to kill Victoria at the T&H Real Estate project site."
Everyone began to criticize Amber again. Even Victoria couldn’t believe Matthias would dare reveal the accident, having previously been helpless due to his lack of evidence. Victoria stared at her husband in awe from afar.
"Actually, there was an eyewitness who was a construction worker on the T&H Real Estate project. He accidentally witnessed Amber deliberately breaking the metal shelf hooks to cause Victoria to fall on them. I even have amateur video evidence of it."
"That video must have been deliberately manipulated!"
"No. The construction worker was secretly recording it, and it took him a lot of courage to tell me what he saw."
Now Matthias presents the final piece of evidence he has to catch Amber. A video, of poor quality, shows Amber openly damaging the metal shelf. Then, as Victoria walks past the shelf, she’s suddenly crushed.
The video was brief, but it already proved Amber was a murderer. Victoria immediately glared at Amber, clenching her fists tightly. She remembered vividly how afraid she was of losing her baby. Had Amber known everything from the start? So how did Amber know when only her close friends knew about the pregnancy?
Matthias returned his confident gaze to all the guests. "I’ve submitted all the evidence I’ve gathered to the police. This is the main reason I don’t want to marry Amber."
