Chapter 166: The Chaos Part I

Chapter 166: Chapter 166: The Chaos Part I

This was what Victoria had longed to see at Matthias and Amber’s wedding. She had warned Amber from the start that Matthias would never like her. Now, Amber looked utterly embarrassed and furious, having heard her husband-to-be’s unexpected statement. She continued to blame her enemies for daring to incite her husband-to-be before the wedding began.

Meanwhile, Matthias still flashed a beaming smile at his wife, indicating that it was time to unleash his trump card against his enemy. He no longer considered Amber a friend. He stood behind the podium and pulled out a flash disk from his suit pocket.

"Actually, there’s one reason why I don’t want to marry Amber." His eyes were fixed on Amber, who was furiously clutching a bouquet of roses. "Because I don’t want to marry an evil woman."

All the guests immediately erupted in commotion upon hearing Matthias’s words. Ansel, especially sitting next to Victoria, immediately made a commotion, arousing everyone’s curiosity about the evidence Matthias had obtained.

"Actually, Amber has been targeting me all this time so she can get some shares in the T&H Group. I’ve known her motives all along. She even tried to harm my best friend and business partner." Matthias held up his flash drive openly. "All the evidence of her crimes is stored here. If you’re curious, I’ll show you everything."

"Are you crazy?!" Amber shouted as she roughly threw away the bouquet.

"Yes, I am crazy. But I’m not as crazy as you who keep slandering Victoria." Matthias also shouted while plugging the flash disk into the laptop that Marcel had just given him.

A young man raised his right hand. "So, what crime has Amber committed?"

Matthias smiled sarcastically. "Do you remember the hot scandal about me having an affair with Victoria during Amber’s welcoming ceremony at Deluxe Group? It was actually her doing. Moreover, Amber deliberately ruined Victoria’s dress."

"Wow, this is absolutely crazy!"

"I will show you the first evidence I got."

Matthias showed CCTV footage from the venue where Amber was welcoming her. It clearly showed Amber intentionally spilling a drink on Victoria’s dress and then immediately inviting her to change clothes in the dressing room. Everyone who witnessed the incident immediately condemned Amber.

"If you look closely, Amber deliberately wanted Victoria to switch outfits. Furthermore, the dress Amber gave her was intentionally damaged from the start."

"Do you have any proof?" shouted one of the young women who was Amber’s friend.

"Of course. I’ve visited the dress boutique and interviewed the staff who prepared the dress."

Matthias also played a recording of the boutique employee’s confession that Amber had deliberately ordered her to do so and that she would be paid a substantial amount to support her sister’s study abroad. Victoria didn’t expect Matthias to go this far, even though he had always maintained he knew nothing about the strange incidents he had experienced since Amber’s arrival.

"Amber is absolutely insane!" The young woman insulted Amber without hesitation.

"Not only that. She deliberately had the media fabricate a story that Victoria was the third party who stole me from her. Even though my relationship with Victoria at the time was just as friends."

This time, Matthias showed a recording of a confession from a reporter who published the hoax news article online. Victoria found it hard to believe. She couldn’t believe Matthias had actually moved faster than her, even though he hadn’t seemed to be doing anything.

Meanwhile, Ansel could only shake his head as he watched Matthias’s blatant act of revenge at the wedding. For a moment, he leaned close to his friend’s ear.

"Your husband is really very crazy."

"Did you know beforehand that the plan would be like this?"

"I knew that. But I didn’t think he would go this far." Ansel was so amazed that his mouth dropped open. "I admire him for always using whatever means necessary to protect you. If I were him, I wouldn’t have the courage to do so."

"That’s why I’ve always liked him so much. He never hesitates to do anything for me. I have to get him a present when I get home."

"You should give him something he really likes. Maybe you can give him something expensive."

"Actually, I know what she wants now. It’s definitely not something expensive."

The atmosphere at the venue was quite heated. Amber couldn’t control her rising blood pressure anymore, having witnessed her wedding end in chaos after her fiancé suddenly betrayed her.

"Matthias, why did you do this to me?!" Amber shouted, screaming until the entire room echoed.

Matthias smiled sarcastically, folding his arms. "I still can’t believe you’ve been so hypocritical all this time, deceiving everyone. You even wanted to collaborate with Ansel to harm Victoria." He played a recording of a serious conversation between Ansel and Amber at a bar.

Hearing the truly cruel exchange, Victoria immediately looked at her friend, who still looked relaxed. She’d actually known the story from the beginning, but she hadn’t expected Ansel to go to such lengths to protect her.

Ansel smiled sheepishly, scratching his head. "Of course I wouldn’t just sit there and do nothing if a criminal asked me to cooperate. I gave this recording to Matthias a long time ago."

Victoria smiled brightly and held her friend’s hand tightly. "Thank you for helping Matthias, Ansel. Should I give you a gift too?"

"Actually, there’s still a lot I want to tell you after the party is over. I’m sure you wouldn’t have expected Matthias and I to be so close."

Back to Matthias, still unsatisfied with his desire to defeat his enemy. He glared grimly at his opponent, whose fists were still clenched, and whose hair was starting to get messy.

"Even though I haven’t finished saying everything, you’re already starting to lose your mind," Matthias quipped.

"Since when did you prepare all this? How dare you deceive me?!"

"Isn’t it more likely that you’ve been deceiving everyone all this time? Now I want to show everyone the evil deeds you’ve done to Victoria!"
