Chapter 158: Chapter 158: Fitting Wedding Gown With Amber
Charles was right. If Matthias didn’t love her, there was no way he would still want to give her a luxury house. Furthermore, there was no way he would still care about her even though they had already signed the divorce papers. Furthermore, Matthias had previously told her that he would keep their engagement ring. This was the love Matthias could give her.
Victoria smiled sweetly as she fingered her husband’s scarlet heart necklace, still around her neck. Even now, her husband refused to let her take it off. This proved that their relationship would improve soon. She trusted Matthias to carry out his secret mission smoothly.
"Victoria, you have to trust Matthias on this. Don’t hate him anymore."
"I wouldn’t hate him, Grandpa. He gave me a luxurious house, and of course, I’m still waiting for him to come back to me. I don’t want our relationship to truly end just because of the problems we’ve been facing lately."
"Actually, I’m still not ready to see my grandson walk down the aisle with another woman. I’d rather you be the first woman to walk down the aisle with him."
Victoria shook her head slowly. "It’s okay. I’m just following Matthias’s wishes. Because I really want to see for myself how Matthias will handle all of this."
"Well then, since you’ve signed the divorce papers, I’d like you to accompany me more often from now on."
Victoria embraced her grandfather in law enthusiastically. "Grandpa, you don’t have to feel lonely anymore. In fact, even though I’m no longer Matthias’s wife, I’m still your best granddaughter."

Meanwhile, Matthias was busy preparing for a wedding he didn’t want. Even though it was a forced marriage for him, he still had to help Amber prepare for it, pretending he truly cared for her.
Even after only a week of deciding to marry Amber, they had already argued several times over simple differences of opinion. It was quite difficult dealing with Amber’s extremely talkative nature, but he had to remain patient for the success of his mission.
Today, Amber asked him to accompany her to try on wedding dresses. She had been trying on wedding dresses for several days, but none of them suited her. Matthias could only resign himself to the idea and always said yes to every wedding dress Amber had tried on.
"Matthias, you have to promise not to be upset with me today. I’m still unsure about what kind of wedding dress I should wear."
Matthias rolled his eyes. "I would have always agreed to your choice of wedding dress."
"But shouldn’t you help me choose too? You always act like you’re not interested in any of my wedding dresses!"
Matthias’s patience was running out, hearing all of Amber’s complaints was making his ears hurt even more. However, he didn’t want to scream in a wedding dress boutique, which would lead to everyone gossiping about them. Especially now that news of their wedding had spread widely on the internet, thanks to Amber’s direct request to the media to spread the news.
"Okay, you should try on the wedding dress you want first. Then I can decide which one is right for you."
Amber spent nearly an hour trying on all the best wedding dresses in the boutique, nearly causing Matthias to fall asleep while waiting. To prevent himself from falling asleep, Matthias stared at his phone screen, which still displayed a picture of him and his beloved woman that was too sweet. Even though they hadn’t even signed the divorce papers for a month, he already missed Victoria terribly.
"Victoria, I miss you so much. How are you now?"
"Matthias, would you like this dress?"
Matthias quickly tucked his phone into his suit pocket before Amber realized what he had done. His gaze returned to his bride-to-be, who was wearing a mermaid gown, revealing her voluptuous waist. Still, Matthias wasn’t interested in Amber’s seemingly ordinary appearance. He was only interested in the woman he loved.
"I think this dress suits you better. Your sexy body fits perfectly in this mermaid gown."
A sly smile spread across her face. "This is the first time I’ve heard you compliment my figure. You’re usually so shy about saying it." Amber slowly groped her future husband’s chest and then brought her lips closer to the sexy ones in front of her. "Do you like me more when I wear this dress?"
"Yeah, but I would like you more if you weren’t as talkative as before." Matthias slowly pushed Amber’s shoulders away from him before his lips were stained.
"Don’t worry, I won’t repeat my behavior again."
"All the wedding dresses you’ve tried on so far have been absolutely perfect for you. I’m not lying. Instead of letting that beautiful wedding dress go to waste, why not wear it for our pre-wedding photoshoot?"
Amber snapped her fingers. "Great idea, Matthias. I didn’t expect you to be so creative with this."
"I’m indeed creative. That’s why I don’t want you to yell at me like before. I may seem annoying to you, but I’m doing everything for your own good."
"I’m sorry. I should have been nicer to you."
"It’s okay. Preparing for something important is bound to be full of obstacles. Preparing for a wedding isn’t as easy as you might think."

After fitting her wedding dress with her future husband, Amber now wants to spend some free time with Fransisca at a bar. Although she originally wanted a romantic dinner, she was forced to cancel it because Fransisca suddenly asked her to have dinner and drinks with her. Even though their mission went smoothly, Amber still wanted to capitalize on her relationship with Fransisca. Now that Fransisca was the leader of D&C Group, the chances of her company collaborating with the group were even greater.
"I just saw the news of your wedding online." Fransisca patted her friend’s shoulder casually. "Congratulations on your wedding."
"Thank you, Fransisca. This is all thanks to your help too. I’ll definitely invite you to our wedding."
"But, does Matthias really want to marry you?"
