Chapter 99: Sir Broken Descends Upon White Bridge

Chapter 99: Sir Broken Descends Upon White Bridge

"Where to, Master?" Anna asked as they drove through the wilderness.

"We’re heading to White Bridge City," Gabriel responded absentmindedly while staring at his status screen.

[EP: 30]

A small frown appeared on Gabriel’s face. He had been using his talent repeatedly, and because of this, he had almost depleted it.

With just 30 EP remaining, it wouldn’t be enough to extract even three monsters.

’And heading to White Bridge, I’ll need more treasures,’ a thoughtful look crossed his features.

Don’t get him wrong—Gabriel didn’t regret giving out all those treasures. It was the easiest way to bring others under his faction.

In order to farm more EP, Gabriel veered off the route, heading towards an area populated with monsters.

Anna seemed confused.

Seeing her look, Gabriel said, "Let’s hunt monsters first, then we can continue to White Bridge."

"Oh." The maid nodded in realization. She had seen Gabriel use his skills a few times.

Although she was curious, she didn’t ask any questions.

On the other hand, Gabriel didn’t make an effort to hide it from her. With the collar on, he was confident she couldn’t betray him or reveal his information to enemies.

Some time later, they arrived at a wooden settlement with a skull dangling from the gate.

’Goblins.’ Gabriel’s eyes flashed.

This was the first time in his second life he was coming across these monsters, known for their sheer numbers and sneak tactics.

As soon as the truck reached a certain point, Gabriel heard a horn blowing from within the camp.

Goblins were known to be among the weakest creatures in the Realm of Ascendency, so Gabriel wasn’t too bothered by them alerting their brethren.

"Dark Flame Orb!"

Boom!

He blasted the entrance of the settlement wide open.

On the other side was an army of goblin archers and warriors wielding spiky clubs.

A goblin, fatter and larger than the rest, stepped forward and pointed its mace at Gabriel. "Human! What have we done to you? Why do you attack us?!"

Gabriel felt like rolling his eyes. Talking to a goblin felt beneath him, so he did the next best thing.

"Dark Flame Orb!"

He began to spam dark flames.

Each one of the destructive orbs obliterated one, two, or even three goblins at once.

"Run!!!"

The goblins tried to escape, but like an evil tyrant, Gabriel continued to spam flame orbs, not even flinching as they landed among the goblin offspring.

To him, those little ones would just grow up and become as vile as their predecessors—perhaps even worse.

BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM! BOOM!

[Ding! You have received experience points!]

[Ding! You have received Extraction Points ×213.]

In the blink of an eye, Gabriel had slaughtered the entire goblin shelter.

Afterward, he proceeded to extract the corpses, moving from one to another.

By the time everything was done, Gabriel had spent almost all his Extraction Points, with only 30 remaining once more.

’Well, it couldn’t be helped. These weren’t something I could just hoard anyway,’ he sighed inwardly.

He then glanced down at the treasures he had extracted.

[Extraction Summary: Rusty Goblin Club ×25 (Iron) | Crude Bone Mace ×15 (Bronze) | Jagged Iron Dagger ×10 (Iron) | Minor Mana Blast ×6 (Common) | Weak Wind Slash ×5 (Uncommon) | Wooden Sword ×30 (Iron) | Iron-Tipped Club ×10 (Iron) | Smoke Bomb ×10 | Weapon Coating – Poison ×7]

’So if I use extraction on the same type of creatures, there’s a high chance of the same type of treasures popping up,’ he realized after using his talent on over 100 goblins.

Gabriel briefly scanned through the loot, hoping to find something that would complement his build—but he found none.

Some time later, they entered the truck and drove toward White Bridge Town.

However, as soon as they arrived at the outskirts of the town, several players noticed the truck.

"Doesn’t that truck look familiar?" one of the players pointed out.

"That... that’s exactly the truck description from the forum!"

"Don’t tell me—it’s him!" another exclaimed.

"Pinch me. I must be dreaming!"

Right on cue, the truck stopped outside, and Gabriel stepped out, the sun shining on his face.

"Sir Broken!!!"

Gabriel narrowed his eyes, watching as a dozen players rushed toward him like a swarm of ants.

He frowned, not expecting this.

"Anna!" he called out.

"On it, Master!" Anna replied, jumping in front of him. She summoned her twin chains and shouted in a loud voice:

"Anyone that comes within 15 meters will be killed!" Anna’s cold voice rang out, stopping the charging players in their tracks.

"Oh sh*t, level 50!"

"Stay back!"

"She looks feisty... and crazy."

Another player licked his lips subconsciously, taking a step forward. "I like them crazy like t—"

That player didn’t finish his sentence. A chain wrapped around his head, and with just a little pull, his head flew into the sky. His body disappeared in glowing fragments.

Anna glared at the remaining players, a cold gleam flashing through her dark eyes. "I won’t repeat myself again."

The sound of saliva noisily being swallowed echoed as the players backed up.

"Now, form a straight line."

"Yes, miss!" they all echoed and instantly lined up.

"Thank you, Anna," said Gabriel as he walked to the front.

"Alright," his gaze swept across the players. "One person at a time."

Gabriel repeated the same system he used back at Red Fang City. Fortunately, this time, there was no conflict.

Even the members of the ChaosKnight Guild only watched from afar. The worst part? Their reputation with Gabriel was in the red, so they couldn’t even ask him for quests.

"Damn it! I’ve been hunting for hours and didn’t even get a single drop, and some random NPC shows up sharing treasures!"

"Ugh! I shouldn’t have joined this guild!"

One member of ChaosKnight tried to blend into the group, hoping to get a quest. However, he was easily discovered and killed by Anna before he reached Gabriel.

[Ding! You have leveled up ×2!]

[You have reached Level 35]

[You have received 10 free stat points.]

"Right..." While staring at the notification, Gabriel suddenly recalled something from his past life.

’If everything remains the same as last time, the first event should start soon.’
