Chapter 1752: Array of light
It wasn’t as if that person had used something powerful enough to escape his senses, so he was able to find that person right away.
It was just that he had been hoping to scare them off by letting them see just how many things were here.
He was trying to use these as a deterrent to avoid a fight.
"It seems like I was being too optimistic. It seems like they’re insisting on a fight."
It wasn’t as if Pestilence was afraid of a fight, it was just that he found it troublesome to have to deal with all of these things. Especially at a time like this where everything needed to go perfectly.
Since there was no other choice...
"I’ll have to take care of this myself or else there really will be a problem." Pestilence said with a sigh before moving away from the place that he had been standing.
He had been controlling the corruption energy monsters to bring the mutated orcs forward, but he waved his hand for them to stop as he went to deal with this matter.
Once Pestilence of the Four Omens moved, naturally there were signs that appeared that showed that he was moving.
As soon as these signs appeared, the pillars of light seemed to waver.
It was as if there was something that was suppressing these pillars of light, making them weaker.
Once Pestilence moved, the Apostles of Destruction that had gone to take care of this gathered around him.
Pestilence didn’t say anything as he waved his hand at the Apostles of Destruction.
Seeing this, the Apostles of Destruction moved in different directions, heading to the different pillars of light that were around them. When they moved, there were corruption energy monsters that suddenly gathered and followed them.
It seemed like each Apostle of Destruction had their own army with the way that the corruption energy monsters gathered around them.
Pestilence just ignored all of this as he headed towards the center pillar among these pillars of light.
There were many new pillars that formed, but they all seemed to form around this one center pillar of light. That was more than enough to show that this was the center of the array that was formed by the pillars of light.
With Pestilence heading that way, it seemed like the entire array reacted.
That was the power that Pestilence of the Four Omens possessed.
But Pestilence couldn’t help finding it strange that these people weren’t backing down at all.
He thought that this was just a show to get him to come out and do something, but now it seemed like they were actually going all out. But if that was the case, this array shouldn’t have been enough to deal with him.
He couldn’t help feeling that there was something more to this...
Regardless of what he felt, the most important thing was stopping this array to ensure that nothing went wrong.
That was why Pestilence suddenly raised his hand to gather his corruption energy before firing it out at the center pillar of light.
Even if they were trying something, it didn’t matter if he crushed them with his power.
But before that ball of corruption energy could hit the center pillar of light, there was a convergence of light coming from the other pillars to that center pillar. It seemed that they were activating this array.
"Are they trying to fight me with just this? Are they stupid?" Pestilence couldn’t help muttering in a confused voice.
Just the shaking of the pillars of light from earlier should have been enough to tell them that this array of theirs wasn’t strong enough to face Pestilence.
If they really insisted on using it, the only thing that would happen is that it would be destroyed by the force of his power.
The humans shouldn’t be foolish enough that they couldn’t see this...
"Or maybe they really are that foolish..." Pestilence couldn’t help saying to himself as he saw the pillars of light converging like this.
That was a sign that they weren’t going to stop until it was all over.
With a sigh, Pestilence raised his hand again and gathered even more corruption energy.
His one attack from earlier was nothing more than a casual attack which was why the array was able to block it. But this attack was different since this was one that he was actually focusing his power into.
This attack should be more than enough to crush this array formed by the pillars of light.
"Foolish humans, just end this here." Pestilence said before waving his hand to send that attack at the array.
But the moment that he did, he couldn’t help knitting his brows.
Something suddenly changed with the array where it was releasing even more light.
With the way that this happened, it was as if there was something that had suddenly injected power into the array.
"Are these humans crazy? Are they really going all out like this?" Pestilence said in an even more confused voice.
After all, he could feel the divine energy that was coming from the array.
That showed that they were planning on fighting with him to the end...
"Fine, if that’s what you want, then I’ll just wipe you all out." Pestilence said in an annoyed voice.
If they were going this far, then there was no need for him to worry that this was all just a ploy to distract him. If they were going this far, then their main forces should be right in front of him.
Even if they sent some people around, it wasn’t as if they would have enough strength to deal with the array.
But he was soon proven wrong when he suddenly turned around to look in the direction of the array.
"Are humans really that crazy that they would do something like this?"
Pestilence stopped preparing the attack that he was about to send at the array of pillars of light and instead started moving in the direction of the corruption energy array.
