Chapter 421: No Letting Go

Ye Feimo was very grateful to his mother-in-law. This trip was truly going well.

Wen Nuan glared at Ye Feimo. "Mom, I want to go with you to see your friend. I don’t want him to come."

"Wen Nuan, what are you talking about? I’m an old lady. You won’t have any fun with me. Young people should go out and have fun. There are a lot of couples like you here in Athens, spending time together, on their honeymoon, and so on. You should try it, too. Think of it as a second honeymoon. Don’t worry about me. I won’t get lost in Athens," her mother said happily. Wen Nuan was furious.

She had come to Athens with her mother because she wanted to find out if her birth mother was still alive and if she was in Athens. Now, Ye Feimo had ruined everything. She didn’t have a good sense of direction, so if she traveled with her mother, her mother would have to take her everywhere, which would give her a good chance to find out who her mother’s friend was. But now that Ye Feimo was here, everything was ruined.

Wen Nuan was so frustrated, but she couldn’t tell Ye Feimo the truth.

"We’re getting a divorce. What second honeymoon?" Wen Nuan said with a hardened heart. Her mother was taken aback.

"We’re not divorced yet," Ye Feimo repeated.

He would never divorce Wen Nuan.

Wen Nuan’s face darkened, and Ye Feimo’s eyes went dim. Neither of them said anything. Her mother tried to fill the silence.

After dinner, Ye Feimo took Wen Nuan and her mother to see the night view. They drove around the city but didn’t get out of the car. Wen Nuan wasn’t in the mood to look around and was silent the whole time. Her mother was already very familiar with the scenery of Athens, so she wasn’t very interested either. After an hour, they went back.

Her mother whispered to Wen Nuan, "Wen Nuan, anyone can see how much Feimo cares about you. Don’t be so harsh. You know it hurts him, right?"

She knew it. She never wanted to hurt Ye Feimo, but she couldn’t control herself.

"Mom, you don’t have to be so obvious," Wen Nuan said helplessly. "We’ll solve our own problems."

Her mother shook her head, and Wen Nuan looked out the window.

Ye Feimo looked at Wen Nuan through the rearview mirror. A flash of pain crossed his eyes but disappeared quickly.

When they got back to the house, her mother said she was tired and wanted to rest. Wen Nuan wanted to ask her about the Long family, but her mother really looked exhausted, so she didn’t want to bother her. After saying goodnight, she went back to her room to rest.

Wen Nuan went back to Ye Feimo’s room. The room had already been cleaned. The sheets were dirty after their wild afternoon, and it definitely wasn’t Ye Feimo who changed them. Wen Nuan’s face flushed. She looked at Ye Feimo, who had just walked in. "You’re sleeping in a different room."

"This is my room. Why would I sleep somewhere else?"

"Then I’ll sleep somewhere else," Wen Nuan said firmly. Ye Feimo said, "Wen Nuan, there are no other rooms here. Only this one. We’re husband and wife..."

He walked over and held her shoulders. "No matter what you’re thinking, even if you want to get a divorce, right now, we’re not. We’re still married. Our marriage is having problems, and we can solve them together. Why do you have to avoid everything about me? If I was really unforgivable, and if you really didn’t have any feelings for me, you wouldn’t have let me..."

"Ye Feimo, you can sleep with someone without loving them. It just means you’re experienced and can be charming. It doesn’t mean anything," Wen Nuan said coldly, denying everything.

Ye Feimo wasn’t angry. He even smiled. "Does that mean I still have some good qualities?"

Wen Nuan was speechless.

*Oh, my gosh, Ye Feimo. Can you be any more shameless? Is that even a good quality?*

Ye Feimo took a step closer and hugged Wen Nuan. He rested his chin on her head and held her tightly. His voice became gentle. "Wen Nuan, can you please give me another chance? Don’t be so heartless about getting a divorce. Don’t sentence me so quickly. If you want a baby, we can have another one. Just give me one chance. Please?"

His tone was almost humble, begging for Wen Nuan’s forgiveness, but she didn’t know what to do.

She couldn’t hug him, and she couldn’t say anything to him either.

The lights in the room were dim.

Finally, Wen Nuan said, "Feimo, actually..."

She ended up not saying anything. Ye Feimo took it as her agreeing, and the gloom in his heart cleared up a little. As long as Wen Nuan was willing to soften up, he could make her change her mind. He knew Wen Nuan better than anyone and knew how to get to her weaknesses.

He wanted to use this trip to Athens to completely resolve the issues between them.

Wen Nuan didn’t insist on sleeping in separate rooms, but she did make him promise not to touch her. She had been so confused and made a mistake with him right after getting off the plane. Wen Nuan still regretted it. She didn’t want to have any physical contact with Ye Feimo during this time.

Although he didn’t want to, Ye Feimo didn’t want to push her too much, so he agreed.

But when it was time for bed, he still held her in his arms, just like when their love was at its peak. Wen Nuan tried to pull away, but he held her tightly with his arms and legs. She could clearly feel a certain part of him pressing against her, giving off a very strong, aggressive vibe.

In the dark, Ye Feimo’s eyes were like fire, surrounding her. Wen Nuan’s heart was beating like a drum. She didn’t dare to move and just let Ye Feimo hold her as she slept. In her heart, she was repulsed but also felt at ease.

It was a contradiction.

They hadn’t slept together in a long time, and their feelings were complicated. Neither of them could sleep. Wen Nuan couldn’t sleep, and Ye Feimo couldn’t either. They didn’t talk. Ye Feimo actually wanted to do other things. He hadn’t gotten enough in the afternoon. Now that he was holding her, he wanted to be even more intimate, but he had promised Wen Nuan he wouldn’t touch her. He could only hold it in and do nothing.

Wen Nuan was feeling down. All she could think about was her mother and her friend. Who was her mother’s friend? Where was she? What was she doing? Was it Long Xiushui? She had no idea and really wanted to know the truth, but she was also afraid of finding out.

In Wen Nuan’s mind, her mother was her birth mother. She believed this no matter what.

She had called her "Mom" for twenty years. If she suddenly found out that she wasn’t her birth mother, anyone would be sad. When she first found out, all she felt was shock. She didn’t have any time to be sad because all of her attention was on the curse. She didn’t have time to be sad.
