Chapter 204: Chapter 204: An Nan Gets Angry at An Jiayou for the First Time

An Nan and the little one kept apologizing to him, which made Han Xiayang very uneasy, and he sneaked a glance at someone beside him who hadn’t spoken all this while. As expected, those black eyes on that handsome face were glaring at him fiercely, making him want to wail loudly: "Young Master Lin, you’re such a guy who favors beauty over friends." Of course, this wailing he only dared to place in the deepest part of his heart, not daring to shout out loud.

Quietly turning his head back to face the woman in front of him, he changed his previous anger to nothing but full smiles and trepidation: "Miss An, please don’t say that, kids, you know, are a little naughty, it’s nothing, it’s nothing."

As he said these words that went against his conscience, Han Xiayang had a strong urge to just sit on the ground and cry his heart out regardless of his image.

Is being a kid so remarkable, can kids bully people, can kids make him this miserable?

The more he thought about it, the more wronged Han Xiayang felt in his heart; what kind of situation was this, obviously he was the one who was wronged the most, yet here, it seemed like he was bullying this mother and daughter.

Silently lowering his head, Han Xiayang decided that silence is golden.

An Nan did not notice the inner turmoil at all and was still feeling full of guilt for what her little rascal did wrong: "Mr. Han, I’m really sorry, please wait, I’ll make that little one return the item to you."

As soon as An Nan finished speaking, An Jiayou, already holding the car keys and phone, returned in front of her. Her face suddenly turned cold, and she yelled at him: "An Jiayou, is this how I taught you? Do you know what your behavior was? It’s stealing, do you know that?"

"I..." His eyes widened in disbelief, and a sentence was stuck in An Jiayou’s throat. In his memory, the woman in front of him had never spoken such serious words to him. His small heart found it hard to accept for a moment. In the next instant, amid the shocked gazes of everyone, he turned and ran back to his room, ignoring the continuous knocking at the door from outside. He just squatted at the door, using his childish arms to tightly embrace himself, his defiant eyes filled with tears, yet he refused to let even a single drop fall.

Han Xiayang was still trying to knock on the door when a faint voice came from behind him: "Stop knocking, just let him be."

There was an indescribable fatigue in An Nan’s voice, which instantly left Han Xiayang, who was standing at the door, feeling quite at a loss. Casting a glance at Lin Mubai, who hadn’t spoken, he finally turned to leave under the other’s signaling gaze: "Miss An, I’m sorry, then I’ll be going first."

As soon as Han Xiayang left, An Nan turned directly towards her room, Lin Mubai didn’t speak, just silently raised his foot to follow her.

On the balcony of the master bedroom, An Nan and Lin Mubai sat facing each other. After a long time, Lin Mubai took the initiative to speak: "Do you want to talk with me?"

An Nan raised her surprised eyes to look at him, neither saying she wanted to talk nor denying it, she merely gave a light smile.

Lin Mubai didn’t rush to delve into the deeper meaning behind that smile but quietly waited. He knew in his heart the little woman in front of him, she wanted someone to talk to, and he would always be her best listener.

An Nan didn’t let the man across from her wait too long; her distant voice drifted in the air over the balcony, into both their ears.
