Chapter 2: My System Is a Gym
Garion stared at the floating screen, waiting for other information, and soon it appeared.
[Welcome to the God Gym, the Divine Training Grounds for the Gods]
[First Effect: Every workout performed inside the God Gym will directly strengthen the owner.]
[Current Owner: Garion Gravithor]
[Assigned Location: None. Please set a training ground]
Garion blinked, rubbing his eyes before laughing out loud.
"Perfect... really perfect. My cheat is literally a gym made for me."
He quickly understood what the system would do to him after reading the first effect.
"The more people trained here, the stronger I become. With me as a personal trainer, all of their gains will be massive, and so am I."
He looked around his current place. The buildings weren’t much. They were still in the old style, but all of them were new.
Apparently, the last owner was someone rich and wanted to start a sect, but died before he could start it.
Garion stretched out his arms, smiling.
"Don’t worry, Garion. I’ll finish your dream and make this sect the best."
"Wait, not as a sect. I am a personal trainer, so I’ll make this the best gym in the world, the God Gym!"
He turned back to his system and smirked.
"System, turn this place into the God Gym!"
[Command Received: Assign Location]
[Verifying Ownership... Complete.]
[Assignment Successful.]
[This place has been transformed into the God Gym.]
[Effect Activated: All training performed within the God Gym now strengthens the Owner, Garion Gravithor.]
Garion grinned widely and flexed for no reason. His flexing was already a habit he took from the modern world.
"Now, to start this gym, I’ll need some members, and also I’ll need to know how to cultivate mana in this world."
He looked at the sky, thinking.
"Even though this is a gym, I need to know mana cultivation as basically the mainstream path is it."
He prepared himself and left the sect.
"Let’s go to the town. Let’s check just what kind of mana cultivation that are in this world."
"It will be interesting if I can somehow fuse it with my workout routine. It will be really fun."
---
Not far from Garion’s gym, a young girl ran as fast as she could away from some people.
"Damn it, how can there be bandits around here?"
Behind her, a group of rough-looking people were chasing her with swords in hand.
One of them grinned and shouted.
"Come on, girl. Stop running. We won’t hurt you. Just hand over your stuff and play with us for a while."
The girl frowned, clenching her teeth.
"Like hell, I will. Don’t think that I don’t know what exactly you people do with someone like me."
The bandists only smirked at each other, hearing her.
"If you won’t comply, then we’ll just catch you and play until we’re satisfied."
The girl frowned as she kept running. But she had been running for a while, and her legs were slowing down.
Just as she thought she was done for, she spotted someone not far from here.
It was a tall man with a big body. He was stretching his body a bit before continuing his journey.
The girl knew that this was her only chance and cried loudly.
"Sir! Please help me! Some bandits are going to kill me!"
Garion was surprised to hear the cries, and when he turned around, his eyes widened.
How could there be a little girl in this forest? According to him, the girl looked barely 15 and still young.
But before he could ask further, other sounds quickly appeared.
From behind the girls, he could see some rough-looking, thin people, grinning with their rotten teeth.
Garion quickly frowned, knowing instantly just what had happened.
"Damn, this really is a cultivation world. I have just left my gym for five minutes, and I’ve already met bandits."
The bandits quickly notice Garion. Their eyes lit up when they saw the nice clothes that Garion was wearing.
One of the bandits stepped forward, waving his sword around for intimidation.
"You there. Leave your things and walk away, or we’ll cut you down."
Garion only smirked.
He was a famous fitness influencer who faced his fair share of threats, whether from angry fans, jealous trainers, or even crazy online rivals.
A few skinny bandits with dull swords weren’t enough to threaten him.
He rolled his shoulders a bit before cracking his knuckles.
"Only that little sword, you dare to threaten me? Let me see it then? Just how powerful you bandits are."
The bandits froze in a second, not expecting that answer.
Their face quickly darkened as they raised their swords high.
"Bastard! You asked for it!"
The girl in the back was just too surprised, watching the current situation.
"What the hell is going on? Just why does this man provoke those bandits? Is he crazy?"
---
Garion smirked as he rushed forward. He didn’t care about the swords.
To him, the bandits were just like some normal people with toys. No danger at all.
One bandit frowned and ran toward him, swinging his sword wildly.
"Bastard! Dieee!"
Garion smiled as he reached out and slapped the sword out of the bandit’s hand.
The bandit looked back at his empty hand and frowned.
"What the hell!"
Garion only smiled, seeing the shocked bandit.
"Just like I think. A sword is just a toy for someone like you that don’t know how to move."
Garion then began to counterattack.
He quickly moved behind the bandit and wrapped his big arm around the bandit’s neck and pulled.
The bandit frowned as he swung his arms wildly at Garion, trying to break free.
But Garion tightened his grip. He didn’t care about anything and just set out to do what he could.
The bandit began to panic as it began to be hard for him to breath. He swung his arms and legs frantically, trying to break free.
But unfortunately for him, Garion just tightened it, and with one final pull, the bandit lost his life.
Garion released his hold and let the bandit’s lifeless body drop to the ground.
Garion looked at him for a moment before wiping his hands like it was nothing.
He just glanced at the rest of the bandits and smirked.
"You’re next."
