Chapter 73: Chapter 73: How Will You Thank Me?
She withdrew her thoughts and listened attentively to the lecture.
Even Nia Irving and Reese Lancaster, sitting next to her, were listening seriously.
The four classes in the afternoon finally ended.
Serena Yeats took notes very diligently.
After class, she yawned and walked outside.
Nia Irving glanced at his phone.
Lowering his voice, "Young Madam, the Young Master asked us to take you home. He has a meeting and will be home a little later."
Serena responded with a nod.
"Young Madam, wait here for me. I’ll drive the car over," Reese Lancaster said, glancing at the sun outside.
"No need, we’ll walk; let’s consider it a stroll," Serena wanted to walk a bit and enjoy the campus scenery.
"But... it’s too sunny," Reese commented.
"It’s fine, let’s walk together like regular classmates," Serena’s clear gaze reflected happiness.
Seeing her cheerful demeanor, Nia Irving and Reese Lancaster didn’t object further.
They followed behind her, walking forward together.
Upon getting into the car to go home,
Serena fell asleep with her eyes closed, not knowing when the car stopped, or that Elias Lancaster intercepted them midway.
He directly carried her into his own car.
Arriving at the villa courtyard,
Elias Lancaster softly kissed her lips, whispering in her ear, "Darling, we’re home now."
Serena felt a tickling sensation in her ear, reached out to touch it, and opened her eyes drowsily, seeing the enlarged face of the man in front of her.
She reached out to tap his high nose.
"Elias, what are you doing here?"
Looking at her drowsy state, Elias kissed her lips.
For a long while, there was no movement from beneath; Elias smiled helplessly at the sleeping figure.
He had no choice but to carry her out of the car and head into the villa.
Once entering the living room, he saw his parents waiting there.
He carried Serena up to the bedroom while his mother’s reproach echoed in his ears.
"You should really learn to control yourself; Serena had classes today, now you’ve worn her out like this."
Old Master Lancaster chimed in from the side, "Listen to your mother, you should."
Elias ignored them, directly took Serena to her room to sleep, then went to handle work affairs.
When Serena woke up, it was already eight in the evening.
She quickly got up, went to the nursery to check on the two babies, holding them close, reluctant to let go.
Until Elias came, insisting she joins him for dinner.
On weekends, Serena spent time playing with the two children, doing homework, reading, and drawing design drafts.
In the evening, Serena brought the two babies to the bed in the bedroom, playing with them.
When Elias came back, he couldn’t help but smile at the warm scene before him.
The two little ones, still so young, played for a while and were already asleep.
Elias called for the nanny to take the children back to the nursery.
After washing up, Serena nestled in Elias’s arms.
"Elias, can we take Sonny and Yuri out to play tomorrow?"
Since birth, the babies hadn’t been out for fun yet.
Because of the incident in the hospital post-delivery, they’ve felt nervous, fearing something might happen if they went out.
"We’ll wait a bit longer." A gleam flashed in Elias’s eyes.
Serena thought for a moment, agreeing, as the weather lately had been too sunny.
"Are you working tomorrow?"
Elias looked at her intensely, responding affirmatively.
Serena suddenly felt as if she were being watched.
"Elias, don’t look at me like that."
Elias remained silent, just looking at her.
"Elias, what... what do you want to do?"
Serena felt uneasy under his gaze.
"Tomorrow, come to the company with me."
Serena was taken aback, "But what would I do there? I’m better off staying at home with the babies."
The man said, "I want you to practice in the design department."
"Huh?"
"There are senior designers there, you can learn from them."
Serena’s specialty was design, not just jewelry, but also fashion.
With the company having these resources now, he wanted to bring her in, making it easier to see her whenever he wished, rather than her spending all her time focused on those two little rascals.
This was the best solution.
Couldn’t deny, Elias Lancaster was quite sly.
His suggestion intrigued Serena.
It happened to align well with her studies; an early chance to practice was ideal.
Besides, Lancaster Group’s design department was not just any ordinary place; entry wasn’t granted easily.
It seemed she was quite lucky, to have this opportunity from the start.
She couldn’t stifle her grin, thinking of her skills finally having a place to be put to use.
"I’m a rookie; would I disrupt the seniors there?" Serena asked worriedly.
"No, they’re meant to guide newcomers too," Elias assured her calmly.
"Okay, I’ll go," Serena said cheerfully.
She hadn’t noticed the gleam passing through the man’s eyes beside her.
Then, he lowered his gaze to the person in his arms, her lips alluringly captivating.
Serena was completely absorbed in her excitement, oblivious to the predatory look in the man’s eyes.
The man spoke in a low voice, "Honey, how will you thank your husband?"
Serena raised her head, pondering seriously how to thank him.
But she had so few things to offer.
He lacked nothing, so what could she give as thanks...
Seeing the face so close, with its alluring lips and deep eyes, her heart raced.
She slowly lifted herself, leaning toward his lips.
Elias’s gaze was so gentle it almost melted.
He was filled with anticipation for his beloved’s proactive kiss.
Finally, Serena kissed Elias’s lips, closing her eyes.
Her arms wrapped around his neck, thoughts filled with how the man kissed her.
She mimicked the images in her mind, kissing him,
But she only dared a brief kiss, not venturing deeper.
Soon, she wanted to end this token of gratitude.
But Elias didn’t want her to stop.
His darling initiated it, how could he let it end?
Considering that she didn’t have class tomorrow and was to accompany him to the company, there was nothing to worry about.
The more he thought about it, the bolder his actions became.
Holding the person in his arms tightly, kissing her till her body weakened, his hands continually teasing her.
Depriving her of any resistance and awareness.
Serena’s face blushed like a boiled shrimp.
Yet when his hand ventured to a forbidden area, Serena gently pushed him; but the man remained steady.
She hastily grabbed his descending hand, "You... you last night..."
